My husband and I ordered the lasagna for two, which came with a Greek salad and bread sticks. The lasagna was piping hot with a great flavor of fresh ingredients. The Greek salad was one of the best I've had and definitely the best in the area. The bread sticks were large, soft, tasty and plentiful. A great deal for a delicious meal. Friday night dinner plans are in good hands when you order from Aleko's. We were able to pick up a medium Greek pizza and breadsticks in just 15-20 min so this already deserves a high five. The pizza was loaded with fresh veggies and smelled glorious. They did not skip out on ingredients and I appreciate that so much. The breadsticks might look ordinary but don't let that fool you. Each bite is packed with flavor and texture. Try to eat just one... you can't! Don't forget the homemade garlic dip! Second time back, we ordered the Mostaccioli dinner for 2 and that was divine. It came with Greek salad and breadsticks. The pasta was saucy, cheesy and perfectly baked. The salad was fresh and crisp, a perfect complement. Had plenty of leftovers the next day and even the cold pizza, pasta, and breadsticks tasted just as delicious. That's how you know the meal was worth it from the beginning. So glad to have finally ordered from Aleko's and will def be back. read more

I have always loved Aleko's! Fairly priced, good portion of food, friendly employees, and they have only gotten my order wrong ONCE and ive ordered here my entire aduult lIfe (I'm almost 29). Breadsticks are amazing and you get a whole bag stuffed full for about $4. These are definitely best fresh and hot, which they always are when you get them. I recommend adding the garlic dipping sauce. The dinners for two and the family dinners are an excellent value. The owner is super nice as well and always says hello and asks how you're doing. My wife and I have been sampling a lot of take-out in South Lyon on our trips up to Witch's Hat Brewery. Alekos is one of the better options we've found so far. We got a pizza on our first trip there and split the verdict on it; my wife thought it was great, I thought it was a little blase. We did agree the sauce needed some more punch, and that the crust was excellent, crunchy with real fresh bread flavor. We got a free sample breadstick that night and can see why people rave about them. That same fresh taste, not greasy, with just a light taste of garlic. On our second trip, we got Italian sandwiches and split a small greek salad. The sandwiches were superb. They came packed with pepperoni, ham, hot peppers and olives. There was just enough mozzarella to add some creaminess; it wasn't squishing out when you took a bite. And again, the bread stole the show. The sandwiches come on housebaked pitas, which are thick and make large, soft sandwich pockets. One sandwich could easily satisfy two people if they had a salad on the side. The salad we had was decent. If you were looking to make a meal off a greek salad I would get the small, which is recommended for 2-3 people as a side. The lettuce was fresh (though it was iceberg rather than romaine), and it was topped with plenty of feta, though the dressing was a little bland. I might give the food three stars on its own, but I'll tack on another for the service. On both visits the man at the counter was very personable and seemed to be enjoying himself serving the people in line. It's easy to see why Aleko's is a local favorite. read more

Was craving pizza so my boyfriend told me about Aleko's and how their breadsticks were amazing, so we went. We walked in and got our order taken then went to pick up his families food and when we got back the owner was super enthusiastic and friendly - which made me/us feel like he cared. This place has been on my top 5 list since high school (early 2000s). Owners are super friendly and generous. The food never disappoints still to this day 20 years later! My husband and I stopped by here after visiting the always-wonderful Witch's Hat. I ordered the mostacciolli, my husband ordered the Italian sandwich. Upon the behest of the other reviewers, we also ordered some of the breadsticks. The mostacciolli was pretty good. Nothing to write home about, but something I'd order again. It wasn't bad and it was something I did enjoy eating. The bits of sausage in it were a little unwelcome since they tasted frozen and premade. The veggie bits in it were a welcome addition. My husband's sandwich was decent. Again, nothing really mind-blowing, but pretty good for size vs cost. He said he'd order it again. The breadsticks were delicious, yes. I'm not sure why people are orgasming over them. They were very good, but nothing that I'd really have an out-of-body experience for. I'd definitely order them again, they were delicious, just not to the level that others seemed to imply. All in all, I would come again. I feel as if I need to try the ribs and chicken. Came here a few days ago and finally had something other than breadsticks. We ordered two small pizzas and a pita sub. The sub was delicious, and I'll for sure be back for more. Green peppers, feta cheese, beets and olives, everything tasted so fresh. The pizzas were.... Ok. I think the sauce was missing salt. It tasted fresh and homemade compared to other chain pizza places like Jets and Benitos... but it just didn't hit us as amazing. Personal preference, I'm sure, and I still would encourage anyone to try their pizza and form your own impressions. One thing's for sure is they're pretty (uploaded picture). And of course, their breadsticks are delicious :) Oh, and I haven't even mentioned how wonderful their service was. They treat you like family, especially the lady that's usually there. read more
