Fantastic product. It's great to be able to go in and walk out with a couple of hot slices for 4 dollars. Thick, hearty, Detroit Style Pizza with plenty of cheese AND sauce. Was told 30 minutes my pizza would be done and I've been waiting in the pizza shop for longer than 30 minutes. Worst part they told me it was coming out of the oven right when I got there. Most unorganized pizza shop I've ever seen and not honest about wait times at all. Use to love this place 5 years ago but they are slacking now. Won't be returning. Management must have changed recently. Never had worse service here. The order received was completely incorrect. The toppings were wrong. The size of the pizza was wrong and the fact that they were thin crust versus thick crust everything was wrong. When we complained about the wrong order received, they said oh we could wait there in the pizzeria for them to make another one for 20 min. and they did not offer refund as option. Since we were missing the football game while we were waiting there for them to get their act together, we decided to leave. read more

First time ordering from this location. The person on the phone was friendly when taking the order. Even during this Quarantine period - it felt comfortable picking up the pizza. I don't know what happened to benitos, but this is the last time we are ordering from them. They used to be our favorite pizza and salad. But the last time we ordered from them, about a month ago, our pizza was smushed against the box, and our salad had so much water in it, it was dripping. I called them and they gave us a refund. Ok, not too big a problem, we had never really had an issue before. So today we decided to order from them again, what we received was ridiculous, we ordered a thin crust pepperoni (we didn't receive a thin crust) we ordered benito bread, which should have cheese on it, (we got plain burnt breadsticks) and we ordered a pepperoni and bacon with plain crust, we got burnt pizza with flavored crust. Then, when I looked at the receipt, she had taken the order wrong... There are too many things wrong for $50. We will not waste our money here again. The "Find a Hole In The Wall" guy here with my latest discovery: Benito's Pizza. Driving from last customer to the next you get hungry. Fresh, hot and made to order, with ingredients that tasted like they just cut them fresh for me. Lobby, dining area and kitchen are clean, well maintained and airy. Even the restroom was clean. That attention to detail is reflected in the product they hand you. The staff is attentive and professional, even with a lobby full of 'starving' teenagers. That's a plus. {And, they get a lot quieter when their mouths are full! :-) } Overall I recommend this place if you're jonesing for a pizza and don't want the same old lukewarm crackers with ketchup from the chains. read more

Hadn't eaten Benito's in some time, so I called and asked for the personal pizza with five toppings for $5. My family can never agree on toppings, so this was always the best option for us, but I was informed that three personal pizzas with five topping came to $25; they no longer offer the Five for $5 deal. I get that businesses rehabs the right to change their menus at any time, but this is a full $10 more than we would have paid for these pizzas one month ago, which seems to me to be a fairly steep price hike. Customer Service was Excellent! First time trying Benitos. I'm always concerned with wasting money. That was not the case here. I ordered the two slices and a pop for $5! Great Value. Great place all around! My husband and I tried this for the first time and the service was great, the pizza was also really good and it was done early! We ordered pickup and it was done a good 5-10 minutes early and the store was very clean! We had to have a special no cheese pizza for a dairy allergy and normally places we go to will mess up the first couple times but they got it right on the first go! Definitely will be back and will be our new regular spot :) read more

I love this place...I am a contractor....Me and my guys know pizza....as do most construction workers, and the folks at the South Lyon Benito's are the best, always call me by name, and the pizza is always great, I live on the other side of town 8 mile Pontiac trail, out side there delivery range, I have no problem going out of my way for good people and great food....and the folks at Benito's always do it up right every time. I go here a lot for a couple slices during lunch. Greg, the owner, has never been more kind and efficient. He works right there next to the employees. Their pizza is always hot and cooked perfectly. Today I am so excited to write this review. I am 71 years old and this evening I had the best experience at Benito's In South Lyon. I walked in and was greeted by a beautiful young respectful young man that any parent would be proud to have. The manager was awesome and went out of his way to be pleasant and I also had the opportunity to meet the uncle. I definitely have found my new favorite go to Pizzeria in South Lyon. I have four grown up children of my own and six grandchildren and i have frequented a lot of pizzerias in my time and this was my best experience ever. The pizza and wings were excellent, better than I have ever ordered from a pizzeria. The ingredients tasted like they just cut them fresh especially for my meal. It was so nice and clean. There was an immediate very warm homely feeling when I walked in. I cannot say enough. Please do yourself a favor and order your next dinner from Benito's i promise you that you will not be sorry. We ordered last night and the experience was by far the worst I have ever had in a restaurant. Having managed and worked in the pizza industry all though college I feel that there was a lot to be desired here. First things first: Customer service or should I say lack of it. There girl taking the order had no clue what was what was going on and was pretty snotty she was basically was no help. Management: Rude after telling her today that our entire family got sick from there pizza I was told that no one else has complained and I was the first person to say anything basicly calling me a lier. She said there was nothing could do about it. After literly arguing with her she offered to take 10% our next purchase. We've gone to Benito's off and on for years since they opened and they were better when they started. They have gone downhill. Pizza is undercooked. We now go to Boomers in New Hudson consistently and they have 2 large 5 item pizzas for under 25 bucks. The quality is consistent at Boomers too. And they are really nice every time and quick. First of all, let me say that i have signed up for Yelp SPECIFICALLY because i feel strongly enough to write this review. Last Saturday night, we ordered 2 small pizzas and a plate of wings. The total cost was $40 so the thought, based on our knowledge of small pizzas, there would be plenty of food for our small group. This "small pizza" would more be categorized as a "personal" sized pizza. I can't believe how little food we got for $40. So in my opinion the value in this pizza is just not there. To make matters worse, they forgot the sauces for our wings making the wings truly disappointing. We called and talked to the manager to express our disappointment in the value and suggested they be more clear about the sizes of the pizza, and to let them know they forgot our sauces. The manager was definitely not a believer in the concept that the customer is always right. He was quite abrupt and seemed annoyed, verging on rude, with our disappointment and pointing out their mistake. His "customer service" gesture was simply to not charge us for the sauce they forgot (woohoo) and promised to send the delivery guy back out "right away" with our sauce. He came an hour and a half later, well after our bland wings were gone. We were truly disappointed in the lack of customer service and the manager, unwilling to do anything to keep a happy customer. read more

I used to frequent this place and I loved their pizza. However, approximately 3 or 4 months back they changed their pizza sauce for the worse. I believe it was a decision by new management- not sure. Nevertheless, South Lyon has an abundance of pizza establishments to choose from. read more
