This food tasted moldy had no taste, and the smell was not good. The bread showed up as if someone already tore it apart and someone ate it. I tried one piece (that took guts) and it tasted like paper. The meat was not good on either of the sandwiches and had a pungent smell to them. read more

After a long time, I forgot why I stopped ordering from this place. Needless to say, after my order arrived, I quickly remembered. I ordered two pepperoni pizzas and an order of hush puppies. Both pizzas were so bland they tasted like almost nothing at all. As for the hush puppies, they were burned and inedible. They might as well have delivered lumps of coal to our house. I don't know what has happened to toraminos pizza, I think the family sold out, they can't do anything right 3 out of the last 3 times I ordered from them the order was wrong, more than 1 phone call they panic, can't take a credit card number over the phone takes 3-5 tries to get it right, can't figure the price right because of the cash register system is not updated to current coupons. it's just a train wreck. used to have best pizza when the family ran it now it's an exercise in futility to even try and order a pie. Quality has improved! We had the best pizza, bread and salad today. Pizza was a 12" mushroom and pepperoni with extra cheese ... so worth the additional $1.50. They didn't skimp on anything. The crust was crispy and the cheese was plentiful. The mushrooms are canned, but delicious and flavorful. The Toarmina's Bread is divisive ... either you love or hate the strong, pungent fresh garlic flavor. I love it and tonight it was in full effect. The most surprising was the salad. Everything was extra fresh and tasty. To top it off we ordered some cannolis. They were equally messy and delicious. Decided I'd try some local place as opposed to the chains and man am I glad I did. From my time of order 'til I picked up the pizza was like 8-minutes. Staff was friendly. The place was old-school... which was awesome. They've got tons of specials, and the price was exceedingly fair for the quality. The pizza: Crust to me is exactly how it should be, crisp and chewy and golden brown. Sauce is deep red and thick and tasted like fresh tomatoes. Cheese was high quality and plentiful. Delicious. I ordered 6 pizzas for my daughters birthday. 3 of the 16 inch and 3 of the 14. They were a huge hit. With the specials ended up costing about 60 bucks which is very fair. The pizzas were awesome. Plenty of cheese and toppings. Very good pepperoni (halal) and the dough is slightly chewy with plenty of flavor. Also they were ready when we asked and fresh. Yay for online ordering. I loveeeee being able to spell out exactly what I want and schedule it ahead of time. If only all takeout and delivery type places would provide me with this kind of scheduling happiness and ease I would be a much more agreeable type reviewer. This is solid if not terribly spectacular pizza. The main attraction of Toarmina's is the giant pizza that is the size of Italy and can serve an army. Two pieces of this super large version is like four of any other. This is so handy at work. You can all pool your money and get a super cheap lunch. I am a fan of the garlic crust they do here but the toppings are just fairly standard. We have never gotten a bad order and they seem to arrive fairly fast. I did carryout one night and they were friendly and had my pizza sliding out of the oven exactly at the time I specified for a pickup. Delivery people are also courteous for the record. Our office ordered lunch for the first time today. The lunch specials they offer are an amazing value. We ordered the calzone, the 8 in pizza, the ham and cheese sub and an Italian sub. Each one came with a fountain pop and a bag of chips for $4.99!! The calzone is seriously large enough for 3 people and the subs can easily feed 2-3 also. Wow. Called for a delivery. Driver went to the wrong address. Then driver called me, was super rude and confused. Gave him the correct address. And he went to the wrong house AGAIN! Pizza took way too long to get so I just cancelled the order. The "manager" who took my order, her name is Lina btw. She was so rude. Called me and was blaming me. I have many allergies so when I start removing ingredients like cheese most of the time the food tastes horrible BUT this place has such well seasoned and fresh toppings (meat and veggies) it wastes awesome. Their red sauce and the pizza dough itself stands alone so his place is worth every penny. They also delivered even in a blizzard so who doesn't love that! When this place first opened up I loved it but the quality of the pizza is on the decline. I've started to notice that the overall bake isn't as good, and I always order extra sauce but lately they've been giving me extra cheese and not extra sauce. They put a lot of cheese on it in the first place so with the added cheese my pizza is basically just a big gooey mess. So because of that I stopped going here. The wife and I saw the number on the restaurant while going to our cats' vet. The Toarmina's Pizzas that we used to order from closed; so, we decided to give this place a try. We ordered a 24 inch pizza by phone, and they delivered. The pizza was still hot. The ingredients all had a fresh taste to them. Ordinarily, I order a vegetable pizza for myself due to me being allergic to pork products (which tends to be most of the meat selections at most places), and my wife orders a meat pizza for herself. However, when my wife found out that this place had halal meats (non-pork) which we could have put on the pizza for no extra charge, she jumped at the opportunity to compromise and get one pizza with both meat and vegetables on it. We were at a hotel nearby and wanted delivery, and this was the ad in the back of the guest folder. I'm glad it was! We ordered some of the broasted chicken, and it was delicious.
