    two pizzas in a box
    Eric E.

I was very excited to see Vito's replace All Sports Pizza because I had labeled All Sports as the worst pizza I've ever eaten. Unfortunately, Vito's is a slightly improved version of All Sports Pizza. I'm guessing the staff are the same but the owner sold the business. I ordered a small pizza and a cheese bread and as you can see from the photos the first thing I noticed was how wet the box and pizza were. I did order the garlic butter crust which I expected to be a brushing around the crust instead it was soaked. The pizza unfortunately is not good. Really nothing about it is. The sauce is their "sweet" sauce and it tastes like a complex mess of flavors someone deemed to be Italian with a bucket of sugar. The cheese is low to medium quality, and the crust was too thick so the top was cooked and crispy but the middle was raw. I threw the pizza away after a slice and a half it was that bad. If the restaurant wants to keep that "style" of pizza they need to remove about 30 grams worth of dough. The cheese bread on the other hand I would give 3.5 stars for because it was stretched much thinner so it was cooked well. I ate every piece. Overall I will most likely not get this pizza again there are too many better options within 5 minutes of this restaurant.

    Bread Sticks

I've had better food at a bowling alley. The bread sticks were inedible and hard as rocks. All the cheese and toppings fell off the pizza and it wasn't even cut all the way. So disappointed and will not be returning.

No you cant drive behind the building. Youre stuck in this tiny lot.. I promise you you're lucky if u get in AND out of that lot freely

My first complaint is that parking lot! Seriously.... there's like 6 spaces. I have a truck and the first couple times I picked up I was almost in a panic because there was and empty space barely big enough for me to fit. You can't turn around and back in because the lot is blocked off by those cement parking blocks thr whole length, basically marking off their property from the place next door. And once you pull in, if there's not a big enough space at the back you literally have to back out onto Ecorse so have fun with that. The last pickup I made, there was a giant like f450 parked at the back which I assume is an owner or employee. Right next to the garbage bin so.... definitely not backing out of a parking space like that. I pulled in in my truck and found 3 other trucks in the lot who MUST HAVE come in perfectly times because I'm telling you... you're not getting out of there I got lucky, and the first vehicle left while I was wondering how tf I was going to get out of their parking lot. So I backed my truck up, and parked in the first spot, with 3 other trucks next to me. Went in, got our order, came out and saw the truck next to me trying to maneuver their way out of there which I knew was going to be impossible. I rolled down my window and said I'd go first so they had a chance in heck at getting out they said they were never coming back because of the parking lot and I said the same. Your lot is CRAZY. Half your pizza has crust, the other half has absolutely NO crust so when I'm trying to separate a piece, I'm literally grabbing cheese and sauce. And we never had this problem in the LP restaurant when we ate inside but by the time I get my carryout home which is literally 4 mins away, I have to reslice everything EVERY TIME. Pizzas, cheese bread... The first couple orders we tried just taking a slice from the box, and the cheese had basically glued together and there was no way you were getting a slice of bread with cheese on it or a slice of pizza with toppings without recutting it. We used to visit the LP spot every single Tuesday until they started charging for water, charging for boxes and THEN charging for using a card yall had us. Our kids LOVED it, we loved what had turned into a weekly 'tradition'... like Tuesdays were Vito's days. But our average like $40 bill for a family of 5 turned into a $75 bill one day for the SAME things wr always got... water, boxes and using a card for paymeny which they never ever TOLD US about these sudden extra charges... and we haven't been back in the restaurant since.

I really loved it and the cheese bread was really cheesy and loads of garlic.

Fredi has the best pizza in Michigan…read more The guy is an artist and his pizza is his masterpiece. The crust is firm, crunchy, and flavorful and bready but light. The sauce is tart and a little sweet and there are small chunks of tomatoes here and there which infuse even more flavor with each bite. If you hold up a slice for a little CSI: Pizza action, you're going to see a firm "V" shape on the side profile with a slight bend towards the tip of the slice. As far as I'm concerned, the classics are the way to go. I would say "The Don" is the overall crowd pleaser with a little more cheese than the basic pep but I think I've permanently been converted to the "Moe Greene". It's simple, there's plenty of cheese, and you get to really enjoy the bread and sauce. The "Fredo" is also good if you want something a little different. It has a small dusting of hot sauce and a generous amount of diced chicken and a drizzling of ranch. The chicken and hot sauce are well balanced so you don't feel like you're chugging a bottle of Franks with your pizza. They've added outdoor seating since opening, the indoor wait area can get a little crowded, the wait times can be a little long during peak hours, and the drive to Melvindale isn't short. All those caveats aside, it's absolutely worth the trip and the wait.

There is some indoor and outdoor seating but we decided to take ours to go. We got a Margherita, Corleone, and Al Nieri (Italian Sausage and Ricotta Calzone). The Al Nieri was the our favorite, the cazlone was so soft inside and creamy from the ricotta. The second was the Margherita which was cooked perfectly and not too crunchy but nice flavor from the sauce and cheese. The Corleone was also very good but I think I need to get some ranch to dip it in which I regret not asking for. Definitely would go back and worth the hype although I can imagine it gets pretty busy at times.

My uncle suggested Roman Village, and I'm so glad he did. From the moment we walked in until the moment we left, we were impressed by both the incredible hospitality and the amazing food. The portions were generous, the prices were very reasonable, and the quality exceeded our expectations. If you're in the Detroit area, I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try. Several of my team members rave about this restaurant…read more For our team picnic we ordered chafing dish size bread sticks, three containers worth, two house salad and two Caesar salads in chafing dishes. Some of the Romaine lettuce in both salads were brown. The croutons should have been separate, they were soggy after an hour or so. The base of the chafing dishes had quite a bit of water at the bottom and made the lettuce quite wilted quickly. Their house salad has green olives, red onion, carrot shredded, tomatoes and I only saw one pepperoncini. The bread sticks were chewy and good and tasted good with their house ranch sauce too. The better part is the food was able to be picked up earlier than most places.
