    Bread Sticks

I've had better food at a bowling alley. The bread sticks were inedible and hard as rocks. All the cheese and toppings fell off the pizza and it wasn't even cut all the way. So disappointed and will not be returning.

No you cant drive behind the building. Youre stuck in this tiny lot.. I promise you you're lucky if u get in AND out of that lot freely

My first complaint is that parking lot! Seriously.... there's like 6 spaces. I have a truck and the first couple times I picked up I was almost in a panic because there was and empty space barely big enough for me to fit. You can't turn around and back in because the lot is blocked off by those cement parking blocks thr whole length, basically marking off their property from the place next door. And once you pull in, if there's not a big enough space at the back you literally have to back out onto Ecorse so have fun with that. The last pickup I made, there was a giant like f450 parked at the back which I assume is an owner or employee. Right next to the garbage bin so.... definitely not backing out of a parking space like that. I pulled in in my truck and found 3 other trucks in the lot who MUST HAVE come in perfectly times because I'm telling you... you're not getting out of there I got lucky, and the first vehicle left while I was wondering how tf I was going to get out of their parking lot. So I backed my truck up, and parked in the first spot, with 3 other trucks next to me. Went in, got our order, came out and saw the truck next to me trying to maneuver their way out of there which I knew was going to be impossible. I rolled down my window and said I'd go first so they had a chance in heck at getting out they said they were never coming back because of the parking lot and I said the same. Your lot is CRAZY. Half your pizza has crust, the other half has absolutely NO crust so when I'm trying to separate a piece, I'm literally grabbing cheese and sauce. And we never had this problem in the LP restaurant when we ate inside but by the time I get my carryout home which is literally 4 mins away, I have to reslice everything EVERY TIME. Pizzas, cheese bread... The first couple orders we tried just taking a slice from the box, and the cheese had basically glued together and there was no way you were getting a slice of bread with cheese on it or a slice of pizza with toppings without recutting it. We used to visit the LP spot every single Tuesday until they started charging for water, charging for boxes and THEN charging for using a card yall had us. Our kids LOVED it, we loved what had turned into a weekly 'tradition'... like Tuesdays were Vito's days. But our average like $40 bill for a family of 5 turned into a $75 bill one day for the SAME things wr always got... water, boxes and using a card for paymeny which they never ever TOLD US about these sudden extra charges... and we haven't been back in the restaurant since.

Chose Vic's Casual Dining for our Anniversary, it did not disappoint. Called for our reservation,…read morewalked in and greeted and taken to a nice cozy booth. Our waitress approached us, told us the nightly specials and delivered our drinks. We ordered the Calamari appetizer with warm white wine and butter dipping sauce. Excellent and cooked perfectly, steak cut, no rings, yum! We both chose Minestrone soup, very tasty and we also received a bread and butter basket with a cup of marinara sauce. Our dinner came in a timely fashion, I ordered my favorite, Chicken Francese, I ordered garlic mash potatoes instead of pasta. Chicken was fork tender and the lemon butter sauce was light and delicious, mash potatoes were so good, I loved my dinner. Husband ordered Chicken Tosca with pasta and meat sauce, he was very pleased. Our waitress took good care of us! They offer a dessert tray and we took home a delicious piece of cheesecake with fruit inside. Great Anniversary dinner and Vic's made it happen. Give Vic's a try, excellent food, reasonably priced! Vic's is a gem! It's a small Italian restaurant that is truly outstanding. When my party walked…read moreinto the restaurant this evening, we were promptly greeted and we exchanged some friendly and fun banter with man who had greeted us. After being seated, it was all about excellent food, drinks, and service. Vic's menu is really special. You just don't see this kind of authentic Italian food on many menus these days. We started with cocktails. They were a perfect opener. We were served fresh bread as well as garlic bread. Of course, the bread was delicious. All of us ordered Caesar salads, which were also delicious. From the Filet Marsala to a "Pasta Trio" of cannoli, fettuccine Alfredo, and lasagna, all of our entrees were superb. The steaks were cooked to order...and were so tender they could be cut with a butter knife. The dessert tray was amazing. All of us had cannolis. Just like everything else, they were excellent. Vic's will be the first restaurant I visit every time I come back to the Detroit area. I HIGHLY recommend it.

My family are big fans of thin crust New York style pizzas. As soon as I saw a pic of the pizza at…read moreFredi the PizzaMan, I knew we had to try it. It's a small restaurant but runs pretty efficiently. There aren't a lot of great seating options, so I think carryout is probably the way to go here. Or else arrive at opening or go during a non-holiday period. This place, despite the size, has a lot of personality and clearly a lot of repeat customers. In my short visit, I saw several people borrow one of the silver sharpies on the counter to write a message on the bricks, walls, counter, etc. The whole restaurant is covered with people's graffiti, which is kind of great because it just shows how much it is loved that people want to be part of it. Staff was very helpful and friendly. I ordered a medium pepperoni pizza, which was big enough to feed three people with light appetites. All three of us were very pleased with the quality and quantity of the pepperoni. The pizza was also served with fresh basil, which is a very nice touch. I personally think the crust and sauce could be a bit more flavorful, but it was still a very good pizza overall. I highly recommend Fredi the PizzaMan but caution that there might be a bit of a wait and/or lines.

First off let me start by saying this is not my 1st rodeo at this establishment. As an avid fan of…read moreFredi's style of pizza I would have to say these two pies were delicious, but definitely not my go-tos. If you enjoy no cheese pizza (which I sadly found out I did not) then try the New Haven. Despite no cheese it had a nice crunch to it and the sauce was fire so I will give it that. Now where shall I begin on the Johnny Ola. This thing was crafted with care. The white pizza game here went crazy for real and the spinach was top notch quality not that bunk stuff you find at Meijer. As for the ambiance of the location let's just say it is always packed. They opened at 2pm , and people were already there at 1:45pm so that threw me off. It took almost an hour to order because there was a lot of families ahead of me but if you are willing to wait you will not be disappointed. Definitely a gem in Melvindale because before Fredi The PizzaMan you would never catch me out there doing anything. I will for sure be back, again!
