There really isn't anyone around in the downriver area that makes Chicago style pizzas, but this place does a good job of bringing it to the area. It's a bit on the expensive side (around $30 for a pie), but instead of eating 3-4 pieces in a "normal" pizza, you can easily get by with 1-2 here--and the next days it almost tastes better in the air fryer! I found that getting the sausage makes it a bit too meat-heavy for me, but it still has a good taste. read more

I don't know if it's the weather or just the service had a bad day. It's because the total was $12 and I gave her $13 and I did not get my change. I didn't say anything because I did not want to embarrass nobody today. So I decided just to leave it at that, this is the second time I've come here in six years and it's reasons like this why. There is nothing in Chicago in their pizza, the pizza is just alright. However I wish they knew how to work the oven. Like every time I come here I feel like I'm walking on egg shells personally. It's never a good vibe here, but then again I don't know if it's in downtown Allen Park thing. So my one star rating comes at this point as for the service is just not good it is unacceptable. Onions GIGANTIC, HUGE, and when the 2 elderly people I cared for spit out 2 or 3 pieces on first bite- I didn't complain. Until I ate the pizza myself over next day and half. I had to take onions out too. The thing is i was calling to let them know how it's done in Chicago- the manager or owner gaslit lit me- after I said I don't want anything. Just to say the onions are so so big at least 5/8th of an inch. I didn't mention they are DOUBLED. He blew me off like I was beneath him as was about to hang up- I cursed... Besides... what person with a real Chicago Style Pizza allows or cuts any onion without any rrhyme, nor reason? Horrible Pizza Decided to finally give this place a try. Walked in to pick up my order and it took them 5 mins to acknowledge me. The two employees were discussing an order that they messed up. Probably shouldn't do that when a customer is in your business. I ordered the Mexican Specialty pizza and just a regular pepperoni pizza. They both were extremely overcooked and dry. Honestly this is pretty good pizza. This is probably the first place in the Allen Park area where I really liked the sauce. It was seasoned and held the cheese down. The cheese is pretty standard and nothing special, but I was impressed with the crust. It had some bite to it but still fluffy. The pizza itself is 4-stars but I ordered on Slice and got the pizza for $4.99 which I think is an incredible value. read more

The deep dish pizza with fresh spinach pleased our whole family, even our two picky kids. There is a very thin second crust between the cheese and sauce. It is a little thinner than PizzaPapalis or Ginos so you can eat even more. The breadsticks are unique and the portion is huge. The medium deep dish meat lovers pizza was good.Menu price on new menu in store said $30. They argued with me when they charged me $34. Said it starts at $34. Finally after about five minutes said ok I'll give you two dollars. The cheese bread was over done. Partly burnt. Very disappointed. I managed 2 popular Chicago restaurants for 8 years, so I was stoked to try this place out and get what I'd hoped would be authentic Chi pizza. Unfortunately it was a total fail. The owners need to do a serious training session with their employees. Easily most incompetent, clueless staff of anywhere I've been. 1st clue was when I called to ask about pizza sizes. "I mean I don't know, they're, like, regular sizes?" The girl said. ‍ My "deep dish" meat pie came bare bones, as in crust toppings crust, no cheese or sauce. See pic. I called as soon as it was delivered, and told "oh sorry, if you want us to remake it you have to bring it back and return it" (I ordered delivery for a reason) or get a $10 credit for my "next order", not happening. Asked to speak w a manager, got so much attitude and refusal. Called the Detroit location. Instant courtesy & employees who quickly apologized & rectified the situation. they said they'd call the Allen Park location to have the pizza remade & delivered. At 730, I got the remade pizza. Total f*ckup. It was a shrimp & crabmeat pizza ‍‍‍ total opposite of our veggie & meat pizza, so not only did they give us someone else's, that person got the wrong one as well. I wanted a refund and to be done with this place by then, but they wouldn't deliver my refund so we had a THIRD pizza made. 3.5 hours after ordering the correct pizza finally arrived, via the Detroit location fixing it & dealing w Allen Park employees for the 2nd time, bc apparently the Allen Park one is full of incompetent idiots who need a training session in customer service & knowledge of their menu, plus 3 freaking tries just to give you the right order. Not big on making reviews on food establishments but had to say something about my experience here to save someone else the time and trouble of coming here. This was the first and last time eating anything coming out of this place. I ordered a simple large cheese pizza and every part of the pizza was bland from the cheese to the dough and sauce. Very unappetizing. I also had an order of 10 piece plain wings. And they smelled terrible like they were cooked and left out the day before and recooked and served the next day. The wings were completely dry from the inside out and not edible. The blue cheese that came with the wings looked so old and watered down when I opened the container the smell was so horrific I had to take it outside to my dumpster. I love Chicago pizza but I don't think I'll go back to Chicago Pizza in Allen Park. I ordered the deep dish spinach. I got there a bit early so sat and watched. People who were MAKING pizza were answering the phone. Did they wash their hands? Don't know. Saw people with sleeves down to their wrists, walking around, making pizza. Did the sleeves drag in the pizza? The sauce was good on the pizza but what kind of cheese is on it? I think there was only one kind and it wasn't like normal pizzas.
