Service good food good price is too high im upset because they took the lunch specials off the menu and the price should include a drink

I placed an order for the following items: Party Plan and additional items added: 50pc chicken, 2 pans potatoes, 1 pan cole slaw, 2 dozen dinner roles, 2 pans of fish, 1 pan of corn, 1 pan of mushrooms. Order was placed in advance and paid for over the phone. We get there to pick the items up and asked for paper plates and napkins and was told that's an extra charge. Are you kidding me.... $380 order and you want money for something that is supposed to be provided. Taking my business elsewhere for our next party. Very disappointed as I have placed many orders for our holiday parties over the years. read more

The food and service is great. I would recommend this location to anyone. Why is it a limit on what I can say! I said all o needed to say!

I'm from Pittsburgh and this place reminds me of our Hook and Fish restaurant but with smaller portions and higher prices. I got the three piece Cod with one side and cole slaw for $12.99. Love the coleslaw. The fish came out as 4 fish sticks not what I am use to or expected. My brother was with me and he got a flounder with coleslaw for $11.99 and he was thoroughly disappointed. read more

The best fried chicken; I swear! I love the chicken bits and can't get enough of them. The cod and shake potatoes are mouth watering. I've always had a good experience with carry out. However; there is a lady on site that is very rude so I switched to take out. The location is older but still in good shape. Could use some updates but is very clean. read more

Food is always amazing. The service is impeccable sometimes I swear I don't know how they manage to do it. I will always return here for chicken strips and sandwiches! read more

Old building caught my eye on the way to the airport. Why not? Fried chicken 4 stars, coleslaw 3 stars, shack potatoes 5 stars - potatoes cut in cubes, roasted and serviced in a butter sauce. Yum. The four pieces of chicken - the breast was done perfectly, the thigh and leg a little overdone and the wing overdone. The breading I found excellent, both texture and flavor, and not overly salty. If I lived nearby I would eat every month or so. read more

Chicken Shack - Chicken, shack potatoes, roll, and slaw. Great lunch - Chicken Wings Near Me - Lincoln Park, Michigan

I gave up on this place for awhile as the quality seemed to have dropped. But I stopped in for lunch recently and had a very nice attentive person take my order and the chicken bites were perfect! Fries were good too but did seem to get cold kinda quick. I do wish they'd change from the too-sweet barbecue and red gold ketchup but that's just my preference. Need to go back and get the shack potatoes again. read more

Wonderful here, the establishment is very clean and well-organized. The staff is wonderful and very friendly. Their food is delicious as well. read more

I just read my last review of this place. It was in 2014. The last sentences read "Would I return? probably. Would i hurry nack? Probably not. Well, its 4 years later. Lmao. I just now came back! I really wanted chicken, my BH said Chicken Shack? So we stopped in. JUST FOR THE POTATOES. Still don't care for the coleslaw. Chickens still good. My previous opinions still stand. However, it was much cleaner than i remember. They have drink bags. A new digital menu board. And a new print menu. Service was prompt and pleasant. Mushrooms are still a winner!!! read more

This past Friday was our work Xmas party (185 GUYS!) and at the last minute our caterer flaked on us!! I had 1 hour till the party and a bunch of hungry men. I called Chicken Shack and they were able to help me out of this HUGE pinch!! They supplied us with 250 pcs of chicken, potatoes, corn, green beans and rolls in record time! I am so thankful for their help and will for sure be using them again for any future employee luncheons!! read more

Ok, my guy would go to this location often because the Chicken Shack closest to us has not been good at all. I ordered a party pack for my moms bday party--she likes Chicken Shack. The order came with a large(long aluminum pan) of chicken, two pans of potatoes, one pan of slaw, 2 dozen rolls. The chicken was salty, EXTREMELY salty. I wondered why I had so much chicken left over after our guest left. The party was on a Saturday, I called Monday and explained how salty the chicken was asked for the manager by name to call me No return call from Manager to address the issue. $193. In the trash. Disappointed and will not return. read more

I've gotten food here before and have loved their chicken and shack potatoes. Last time I got it however, there was a puddle of grease in the bag dripping from the potatoes. The potatoes were also then drenched in grease. The chicken was alright but not as good as it has been. Those potatoes definitely gave me a upset stomach and I am extremely disappointed. read more

Only private owned Chicken Shack we know of for decades. All corporate locations Suck badly. This place has a great owner and crew that care's about the customers. They even bring your meal to your table, how cool is that, Free water cup too unlike Riverview location. Spotless clean restrooms unlike Gibraltar location won't let you use them. Finally got to try the new Spicy Chicken Sandwich WOWED a real winner. Mega Fillet drenched in batter freshly deep fried, it hangs out both sides of the bun. Creamy Slaw n Pickles the lunch special outstanding deal until 4 pm everyday. For only 10 bucks n change you get the Sandwich, Shack Taters smothered with Butter, Coleslaw and a Fountain drink w free refill. Best deal around town by this local chain. She had the Chicken Breast Lunch special for a win. Ladies and Gentlemen, you have now entered the best chicken shack establishment in all of Metro Detroit. Whenever the mood hits and a craving for boasted chicken arises, this is the first that come to mind. It's the closest proximity, plus it has the best quality as far as I'm concerned. There's this experiment you can do for its level of authenticity,, you buy a box of chicken. Make sure it's dark meat, because I am a firm believer that white meat is for Americans with no tastebuds. It's like setting yourself up for failure. Now, take a big bite out of a leg or a thigh,, and let the euphoria kick in. The chicken is that good... the quality, the crispness and the way it's seasoned is beyond all other chicken shacks. Trust me when I tell you this, because this spot has been here longer than any other chicken shacks in Metro Detroit. It has stood the test of time and will keep standing long after that as well. It's not just about the chicken, they're have side dishes are out of this world. I, in fact, am a big fan of their boasted potatos. Make sure you take you hold on to something sturdy because these man nuggets of potatoes are smothered in butter. Also there's their fried mushrooms, it's extremely addicting and it goes hella well with any alcoholic beverage. Life is too short to be eating mediocre chicken parts. Weeeeeeeeee read more

We always have had great food from there and service from chicken shack so I say try it out for yourself you can thank me later

Love eating here, Marie and Destiny are the sweetest! Food is always so delicious and fresh

This is the best Chicken Shack around! The people are friendly and fast! They never get my order wrong when asking for extra crispy shack potatoes! The food is delicious! Love how CLEAN they keep the restaurant too! I see you Chicken Shack! Broasted Chicken & Ribs are phenomenal!! read more

I looked up the menu on line, put our order in and we had an approx. price. When I went to pick up the order it was almost $40.00 more than anticipated. I compared the prices on my reciept to what was posted on the store menu and the online menu and it wasn't even close. I asked why the difference and the gal at the register said" the owner has raised prices" It would have been nice to know this ahead of time because we might have gone a different way. The chicken was OK but those potatoes were way to buttery/greasey. I will not be back read more

This location is on my way home and I like to treat myself every now and then. They have many options besides chicken: ribs, cod, catfish, flounder, shrimp. Even pork chops! Plus their amazing Shack potatoes which are cubed fried so they're crispy outside but soft/ melty inside & brushed with melted butter. The food isn't necessarily fancy, but it's delicious, satisfying and always Hot! Great for parties too. They do lots of carry out but have room to sit, tables and booths. Private parking lot which never looks full but people are always coming and going. The staff are hard working from the counter to the prep station to the cooks. They work well together to get your food ready efficiently, while being personable. The inside is clean from dining room to their work stations and bathroom. Stop in and give them a try! Moderate prices but I think it's fair for what you get, quality and portion wise. read more

Normally the food here is good but today I was disgusted! I ordered the Cod snack with shack potatoes. My potatoes were amazing as always but my fish was disgusting! Really wanted some chicken and ribs, and passed up another place because we wanted the shack potatoes. I stop here often on my way back to Indiana, never had an issue, the food is fresh, hot and to my liking, I will continue to enjoy!

Had an order from them last night and I thought I'd bring the reviews up to speed. I don't know anything about the interior or parking, but this place is located across from sears and kroger and all that, which isn't a bad area. The chicken I had I'd take over the Colonel's. I think KFC has more flavorful skin because of the spices, but CS has a better crisp and the chicken was more tender and juicy. Thoroughly enjoyable. I also thought the fries were good. These are more like homestyle potatoes, but they were good. Nothing phenomenal but just fine. The roll was good too, fresh and soft, but again, not the star of the show. read more

I don't know what happen to this place, used to be so good now it's just down right BAD!!! I ordered me and my wife 2 4pc broasted chicken dinners and they looked like they gave us old chicken they were trying to get rid of!!! I will not be back!!!! Stop serving Covid Chicken!!! read more

This place has been a staple for us for years. Our go to is the Rib dinner with roasted potatoes and coleslaw. Ribs fall off the bone and are so tender. Consistent quality and amazing as always! read more

I love fried chicken and especially broasted chicken. While I wouldn't say Chicken Shack has the best broasted chicken, it's pretty good stuff. The restaurant is due for a facelift, the parking lot is full of potholes, the inside is well worn, it smells like 30 years of fried chicken but it's yummy. My favorite is the broasted potatoes with that butter sauce. I could drink that stuff if it wasn't guaranteed to clog my arteries! I didn't find the breast meat dry at all, rather it was pretty juicy. The front counter staff is really grumpy, they took orders then kept checking their phones. Perhaps for another job offer? Regardless, it was really annoying when the cooks put the orders up and they took their sweet time getting it. Chicken Shack is a quick place to hush that craving for fried chicken. Don't go there for the ambiance, you'll be sadly disappointed! read more

This place used to be pretty good. We ordered from them the other day and it was pretty bad. The broasted potatoes used to be swimming in butter, not the healthiest but pretty tasty. This time they were bone dry. The chicken served to us this meal was some of the worst chicken i have ever had. It just tasted old and was pretty much dried out. I have never had broasted chicken that dry in my life. Might wait a few weeks and give them another shot, in case this was just a bad day for them.If the quality is not up to former standards next time off my list they will come. read more

I called ahead of time because I have two kids and didn't want to wait for food to get ready. So 15 minutes later we get here and pick up the food. Luckily I look in the bag first because they gave us tenders, not bites. So I go back inside to get the order corrected and I'm still here, 30 minutes later, waiting for them to fix a mistake they made. Completely missed the mark tonight I'm very disappointed. I used Doordash to get my food. I haven't eaten at chicken shack in years like 15 years and forgot what they taste like. I ordered a Cod snack which was more like a meal! I also ordered a individual fried mushroom and a side coleslaw. Every thing was good and came hot and fresh. I didn't care for the Cod only because the batter in the inside didn't seem done enough for me but I've seen other Cod like that too, I think it's because it's a tender and juicy fish. Next time I'll get the chicken and the potatoes are very good I loved them! The fried mushrooms were everything! It was a lot of them for a Individual order but I'm not complaining but there is no way I can eat them all. They send an abundance of condiments and I appreciated that because a lot places either don't send any or they are very stingy on them even though I have everything I would need in my apt. This was an awesome experience with doordash and Chicken Shack thank you so much. Oh and they dont mess around getting your order ready either it was extra quick when thing took lime 30 minutes. read more

I couldn't agree with Amelia B.'s review more. One suggestion is to stay away from the white meat, it tends to be over cooked. While I usually choose the breast over the other choices, here it is dry and over cooked. the legs and thighs are perfect though! Absolutely love the broasted potatoes! As other reviews have stated, cosmetically this place is beyond hope, but it's well worth the stop for chicken that is better than the national chains although on par price wise. The parking lot is BAD! Deep pot holes that you could literally lose a tire in! read more

Had a question for management and wanted clarification about being what I believed to be had the overcharged. I was told upper management would call me back. After 8 hours Management never returned my call, then I follow up with the call to the Manager who is definitely what anybody would consider a Grumpy Old Man, already knew my issue but yet never picked up phone to call back. Very short, lack of empathy, understanding from the customer perspective and offended about why I would ask such a question, hung up the phone too quick for my comfort. Use to love this place but it's the people and the lack of patience and love that makes restaurants and the people who run them SUCK. read more
