Aside from the side street there isn't any specific parking for Burger Shack. That all said it's a small inconvenience for a great big meal! The glitzy front meets a no nonsense back in a frenzy of fantastic fried food. A packed kitchen cranks outta steady flow. Burgers of course but also BBQ, chicken and a wild array of neon colored desserts that are eye popping and mouth watering. And the shakes!! Holy cow it's like someone had a tip on a famine! Okay! I have driven by this place hundreds of times. I finally tried it out. The food was great! The burger, albeit, a bit overcooked, was full of flavor and the bacon was well done - which is a good thing; it breaks apart when you bite into it - as it should on a burger! The brisket loaded mac n cheese is so full of flavor; I like the mustard added to the top. Service was quick. Will definitely be back! We've noticed Burger Shack over the years and have wanted to try it for a few years and finally found the opportunity. I wanted to try the award-winning burger but apparently all BBQ items can't be ordered online because they can run out. So we ordered quarter pounders (we prefer single to double patty burgers), the Cajun fries and the ranch fries with ranch sauce. The fries taste like they're battered and fried. They were delicious, particularly the ranch. We expected ranch on the side but it came on the fries and tasted great that way. The fries were crispy and just right. But each was a huge order, enough to split among three people with leftovers so we'd probably just order one to share next time. The quarter pounder was great quality for the price - $6. They let you select the temp of the burger so everyone could have it just the way they like it. The burgers were flavorful but a little messy to eat, so make sure you have a napkin at the ready. Ohhhhh yeah Burger Shack got that good good! Could I come back here and order the whole menu please? I ordered take out and got the cheeseburger, cheese fries, and chocolate milkshake and yes it was all amazing! The burger was so moist and flavorful, i could eat 7. It was also very thick and was a big patty than normal. The cheese fries had the nacho cheese on it with thick cut fries and oh my goodness they were incredible. The chocolate milkshake was obviously a must too because you can't complete a meal without dessert. I swear this was one of the best burger and fries meal I have ever had and I can't wait to come back. I would say the downfall of this place is that I called ahead of time for takeout, they told me 20 minutes, and it took about 45. Apparently this is a norm for them so just judge accordingly and come like 15 minutes after the estimated time. It didn't look like they had many people working so that would probably explain it. My favorite new place to eat while in Dearborn Heights. The brisket was so good, very tender and Smokey. All the meats are halal so that's a plus for me. The BBQ sauce was very good, sweet and Smokey. I went two days in a row because I just loved the food I ordered. I'm from the south and we love our BBQ especially brisket. I have found I prefer bigger burgers w/o lettuce and tomato lately! The brioche bun was perfectly toasted, burger perfectly cooked and juicy, and ingredients all fresh - loved the pickles!! I highly suggest ordering online - which will save you so much of time. Unfortunately they aren't totally organized like they should be - due to the fact only 3 people are allowed to wait inside and at the same time people are trying to pick up orders. If you can get pass those issues then this place would be a good 4.8 rating for me. I indulged in the Shack's Original burger with two juicy patties and the usual toppings, crispy (but unremarkable, sadly) fries, and a thick and tasty strawberry shake. All burgers are made fresh with fresh ingredients which is huge plus. I almost didn't give this place a shot because parking is so terrible. There isn't a designated parking lot. It sits in between a transmission shop and a tattoo parlor. Parking is either in the auto shop or on side the tattoo parlor. I had not eaten anything all day long and this was happened to be my only meal but it was more than enough. I end up going with their aljoom's burger and instead of BBQ sauce I went with spicy mayo. Aljoom burger came with a juicy brisket. Fries were definitely 4/5. The staff was really nice and friendly. The owner and rest of the staff checked on me about my food. First time at burger shack/Aljooms. Seen it on TikTok so I decided why not try it?! Took about 35 min for my order to be ready so DEFINITELY order online or call ahead. They are normally very busy and that's not a bad problem to have. Food was pretty good too. A little pricy but that's what happens when everything gets inflated, so I get it. I had the brisket Mac and cheese on the aljooms menu. The sauce was too floury for my liking but the brisket was tasty and tender. You could tell it was a made from scratch sauce which is what you'd expect for $11. I had to shack fries from the burger shack menu and lemme tell you, WOW! I did not expect all of that for $9. Super good value and it's incredibly tasty. That's a whole meal fit for a king right there. My girlfriend had the aljooms burger from the aljooms menu and she enjoyed it. the food in the pictures I saw looked beyond amazing, but once you actually take a bite of it, it's horrendous. I ordered a crispy chicken sandwich and a brisket sub with fries. The order took about 40 minutes. The chicken in the sandwich tasted cold. The brisket does not taste like brisket at all, it's more of a sloppy joe with the texture and consistency. Brisket should be sliced not pulled. I overheard the owner talking to the his other burger flipper in the back about girls and sex. This place is absolutely DISGUSTING.
