It's nice to have another dine-in pizza/pasta place in the area for choice. Benito"s Cafe Restaurant fits the bill. Last night was our 2nd time since an extensive remodel. The dining area is representative of al fresco dining in Italy. Nice decor with music at an appropriate level. The pizzas are delicious with the added bonus of flavored crust. I questioned ordering salad. But was reassured Benito's uses carefully prepared romaine. Even our server has eaten the salad! Our server, Caitlin was amazing. I love Benito's pizza. Their melanzane pizza is so good. I come here whenever I'm in town and always think of that pizza. Benito bread is a standout and probably one of my favorite things on the menu. This time I also tried a calzone and a pasta dish. Did a pizza style calzone with mushrooms, eggplant, sausage and roasted garlic and it was outstanding. The dough is crispy and has a Parmesan dusting. The marinara sauce is delicious. Also had the build your own pasta. Got the angel hair in a white wine butter sauce with shrimp, spinach, mushroom and roasted garlic. The parsley on top added a great fresh flavor. It was a great summer meal and shrimp were perfectly cooked. Mushrooms were clearly fresh and added a great flavor and texture to the dish. We also shared an antipasto salad and I loved the combo of meat, olives, cheese and peppers. Ordered it with homemade ranch dressing - so good! I love coming to Benito's! read more

When a pizza locations sauce, toppings cheese AND crust are all homemade and really put together in a way for AN EXPERIENCE that's when you know they put a lot of thought behind it. My family and I decided to dine-in and got a small Antipasto salad (it says it serves 1-2, but it could easily feed 3) and a regular medium with pepperoni and parmesan crust.
