Overall had a great dinner at Levantine Grill! We went for an early Mother's Day dinner and our waitress still gave us the free dessert which was super nice of her. The seating area looked nice and clean too. The food was good - I got the chicken shish kafta which was soft. Just needed some hummus with it and it was great! And I don't remember what it was called but there's a dish under lunch specials which has chicken and sauce on fries and it was SO good. Probably the best thing we had. However the other chicken dishes were dry - chicken sajji was hard to cut and so so dry even with all the sauce on it. And the chicken shish tawook was hard and dry. It was our first time and I wish our waitress had given us a little more help in what was a popular pick, she just kept saying everything tastes good. Which is fine but if we're genuinely asking, it's because we are actually looking for recommendations! The staff were very friendly and efficient. It is smaller than I thought but nicely decorated. We were there for a family luncheon. The hummus was one of the best I have had. The fattoush was very flavorful, the tabbouleh was lacking flavorful there wasn't any lemon, salt or olive oil on it. Falafel was good but I have had better. The platter was well cooked it had rice with meat and chicken shawarma, shish tawook, shish kabob, kefta, grilled veggies. Over all all of the food was great. read more

The waitstaff is both the host and the waiter. Ordered 1 small crushed lentil soup, Famous Three: spicy hummus, Baba Ghanouj, tabouleh, large fattoush, 2 skewers of chicken kafta, chicken gallayah over hummus with side of veggies and crushed lentil soup. $63.80 The crushed lentil is quite runny, chunky too. It tastes good, even better with fresh squeezed lemon juice. The tabouleh, baba and hummus are all okay. Hummus is smooth, not spicy or flavorful. The baba is a bit salty. The fattoush is good, dressing is yummy. Salad core was left in the salad and some chunks of onions too. The chicken kafta was quite dry, which was odd because my piece had a small part that was still pink and raw. The staff took my kafta piece back and made me a new single skewer. Takes a while for the meat dishes. We were not sure if they forgot about the skewer meat. It came out on a small plate with some more turshi and grilled veggies. Cooked this time, more flavorful, still dry though. The chicken gallayah was quite tasty. The owner is soft spoken, cordial. We didn't see much of our waiter. read more

Got takeout. This restaurant is decorated pretty nicely on the inside when I went to pick it up. I got the salmon platter with rice, vegetables, and the soup that came with it. I also got bread and garlic sauce complimentary. Everything was really yummy. The only thing I can say is the veggies could have been seasoned and cooked a little bit better. I've finally discovered the best Mediterranean in the Novi area! Service was insanely quick, all of our food came out within 10 minutes of ordering. The waiter was very nice, but I do wish he would have refilled our drinks at least once during our meal. Food tasted excellent. Compared to many other Mediterranean places in the metro area, I do think they skimped out on the portion of shawarma though. The restaurant itself is lovely and has a walk up counter for coffee which I'll have to try next time. read more

Ordered beef kafta kebab and a burger. Meat was very dry, the kafta kebab wouldn't even break off with my spoon. The kefta was so salty too. The burger had what looked like kraft cheese on it. Falafel was also extremely dry and it felt like it was frozen and reheated. Not worth the price, would much rather drive to Dearborn and get better quality. Great food and kind and attentive service. I went here with family on the Memorial Day holiday Monday. I especially liked the fatoush salad and the chicken shawarma. We also received hummus, but I am not a huge fan of hummus so I left that to my hubby to eat...that was fine with me as garlic is my favorite. -Shish Shrimp: If I could only eat this for the rest of my life, I would be happy. Excellent grill on the shrimp and incredibly flavorful! -Baklava was one of the best we have ever had! Very crispy! We liked it but was not our favorite: -Rice was almost sticky. I personally just prefer a more dry rice. -Shish Kafta was not what my hubby was looking for...it was another dish and he got the name wrong. I could have filled up on their pita, hummus, & tabbouleh, they were so good (and garlic cream - OMG, I am absolutely willing to be shunned by mankind for rest of the day to eat this). But I had their lunch special (kofta) and am glad that I did. The side salad and the rice (be sure to get it with almonds) complemented the well made meat dish perfectly! Middle Eastern food is my comfort food, so we headed to the Levantine Grill because of its high rating. I had the Sajji chicken which is a grilled 1/2 chicken with a spicy curry sauce. My sister had a chicken kabob and her daughter had a fattoush salad with shawarma. The food was excellent and the portions plentiful. The rice was also very good. The restaurant was not very busy and the service was very good. My soda was refilled without asking and the pita was hot and good. This is a relatively new restaurant, and it has the typical Middle Eastern type foods. It's pretty tasty and the ingredients are fresh. The only odd thing is, I ordered a lemonade, and it looked kind of orange when I got it . The server asked how everything was and I pointed out that the lemonade looked like orange-ade. What an incredible restaurant! First off, the place is done beautifully with detailed woodwork. I felt transported to the Middle East. Not that I've ever been there. The food matched the level of care put in to the decoration. The humus was creamy and tasty. I had an arabic tea that was delicious and unique. The meat was spiced just right. When I first saw the sign for the middle eastern grill opening up in my neighborhood I was very excited to try it, considering there is not that many of them in Novi area. On Tuesday evening I placed an order for a combo tray for 3 people. The place inside looks very clean with nice decor, the gentlemen who helped me was very friendly and polite. The tray run a bit pricey then other places I usually get it from but thats not the big deal. The three stars are purely for the taste and the quality of food. The meat was dry - chicken was almost burned, the hummus that comes as a side dish was a very runny consistence and thats not what it supposed to taste like. Overall it can be better. We have now ordered from this place several times. We are Middle Eastern, so finding a place that we think is great is hard, when you're used to home cooked food. This place had everyone loving it! We always get a combo for 10 or 15 anytime we have a get together or people over, and every single time, everyone is impressed with the food. Their meats are delicious, hummus is some of the best we have ever had, and their house dressing is unreal. This has quickly become our new favorite spot! We will be ordering again in a few days! My new go-to restaurant for Middle Eastern food. It is a convenient location, interior is very nice and exceptionally clean. The best part was the food! The hummus is excellent - not too garlicky like some restaurants, the beef kabobs were well cooked and tender and the huge portion of rice was delicious.
