Small Crushed Lentil Soup Sm

We finally made it here! The lentil soup was delicious (we will be back very soon for more!). We got sandwiches which were very large, moist and delicious. Oh! They have a punch card for the sandwiches, yay! The owner was warm and welcoming when he came over and chatted with us. He told us more about how they make everything in-house and use fresh ingredients. They will be selling at the Northville Farmers Market when it starts back up so more people can try their yummy food. I can't wait to go back!

As I'm sitting here with my tummy full of the BEST Middle Eastern/Mediterranean food that ever hit my taste buds. I want to give this restaurant a 10 star rating. The menu had so many delicious options I couldn't choose an entree. Our server was so helpful in helping me to decide on the lamb Kabobs. They were flavorful and cooked so perfectly that they practically melted in my mouth. The hummus and yogurt were amazing with our lamb grape leaves and warm soft naan. This place is a must!!!! You'll never go anywhere else, I promise!!!!!!

Fries were scratch made with a uniques shape that had visual grooves that I had not seen at any other restaurant. Aside from the unique shape they were nice and crispy and quite tasty in their own right. Cleary a superior burger and fries versus other restaurants that are in the area. Aside from the food I had their Old School Margarita and their Deadwood Old Fashioned. The Margarita was just OK in my opinion. Basis of the drink was 1800 tequila which I am not a fan of and Cointreau. Seemed to lack the Agave Forward notes I look for and lime component was not as bright as I like it either. However, the Deadwood Old Fashioned with the Woodford Reserve Bourbon was outstanding and definately one of the better made ones in the area. The restaurant itself has a nice ambiance about it with rustic western vibe which I really like. There is also a large outdoor dining area to take advantage of the nicer days which is something to consider if that is what you are looking for. Relative to staff, they are so friendly and outgoing with excellent follow up throughout the meal and clearly a strength of this business. Overall a great dining option in the Northville area and worth checking out if you are in the area.

I then consulted Yelp and we decided to give Table 5 a try. The interior is very pretty, decorated nicely with a good mix of tables to allow some privacy. We opted to dine outside because it was such a beautiful evening in Northville. We were seated at a cozy table and met with a hospitable server who made the meal even better. They start you off with house made bread with whipped, flavored butters. The special butter of the day was banana bread flavor. Oh my, what a treat! I love the creativity and the effort! It was very much appreciated! We had a lovely and I mean very lovely appetizer which was the whipped ricotta with peaches, toasted pistachios and blueberries. It was served with herbed bread and this was nothing less than spectacular! I couldn't stop dipping. The mains were the filet with whipped mashed potatoes along with asparagus. This was devoured and resulted in being a member of the clean plate club. Kudos to the chef, perfect steak! We also had the wedge salad with green goddess dressing. This was really tasty, fresh and filling. We were so full and satisfied so their famous butter cake will have to wait until our next visit. I hope that will be in the very near future! Table 5 is definitely on our favorite restaurant list!

We both got what we're looking for here! I tried an utterly delectable pasta dish. It was the special and called my name: a generous serving of butternut squash ravioli in a brown butter sauce, with carmelized onions and tender DUCK meat pieces ALL through, and topped with crushed toasted pistachios. It felt downright luxurious. The pasta was thin and perfectly prepared. It also came with a house salad, which was dressed with a light citrus vinaigrette, cranberries, and pine nuts. This meal absolutely scratched the itch for something special. And the burger? High marks! It was a perfect medium rare as requested, and very tender. The cole slaw side was a nice-sized pile, more vinegar dressed, and got good reviews as well. Also, the meal started with some crusty but super tender interior garlic rolls. Our service was very good. The restaurant is an interesting mix of casual and fancy-ish. We weren't rushed and enjoyed the ambiance. Decor could use a deeper clean. Bathrooms were clean and ladies' was very pretty. Clientele leaned older, but that makes sense because from what I understand DJBs is a classic. It may have been in the game a while, but that's because they know what they are doing and do it right, and there is plenty of game right here still! I would definitely return.

Their homemade rolls are served in a butter/garlic and fresh made. Fish and chips are really good, their batter doesn't overwhelm it like some places do, and I believe their tartar is house made also. The chili is excellent and the Green Machine with chicken was great and a good size. Our server was Miraya (I'm probably killing the spelling sorry) and she was so nice and helpful! The staff does not turn over here like other places, and they all seem very enthusiastic to be there, which you don't see often. It's obvious the ownership cares a lot about their staff, as well as delivering quality food to their customers. The seating seems a little tight, but it's uniquely designed. It's not very loud, so it's a great place for a date or just a nice 20 year anniversary dinner! (Ours) This is a great place to try if you haven't yet. Their menu has something for everyone.

I had no wait on a Friday evening, which I'm sure isn't common, but I was also there about1 hour 30 minute - 2 hours to closing so it could be why. I was still given great service and a wonderful cooked dish. I ordered a mocktail (virgin spring in wing) that had was supposed to have smashed strawberries. I barely tasted the strawberry (I did not have some in the drink) as the soda water overpowered everything thing else. I probably should have said something, but I didn't. If I order next time I will. There were many great things on the menu, but I opted for the bone in pork chop. While I waited I did ask if they had bread service and they have corn bread. First I was like "hmmmm idk". Once it came to the table I loved it. I usually don't butter my corn bread, but I tried their butter with it and I enjoyed the pairing. It was perfectly cooked well enough how pork should be, but still tender so it wasn't dry. It had this whiskey sweet fruity glaze over it which was delicious. I would have preferred it on the side, but that's just a personal preference. The green beans weren't soggy, they had a slight crisp to them. A great flavor. I opted out of the loaded baked potato and just got a plain with butter , sour cream and chives. Overall for what I ordered I didn't think the price to be too unreasonable. However, this place can get pricy with other things on the menu. Their menu might also change because I seen photos of this place and those items weren't on the menu. I would come here again for a dinner alone, with my spouse and even with friends.

Our primary server was ok and let us set the pace for the most part. However she put dessert menus in front of us halfway through our entrees. We felt it was inappropriate subtle pressure. We skipped dessert as a result. Interesting cocktails and nice wine by the glass list. We started with the Candle, beef tallow formed into a small candle with bread ($12); basically artistic bread and butter as our server called it. It was ok but doubt we'd order it again. On the other hand the Tuna Tartare ($26) was excellent and I highly recommend it. We both had the 16oz prime ribeye ($72). It wasn't the best looking ribeye and could have been trimmed better. It was cooked to perfection and had a nice flavor. Our shareable sides, truffle fries ($16) with two delicious homemade sauces and broccoli ($18) were great! We look forward to a return visit with our wives.
