When I'm on this side of town like I was today, I try to grab some food of places that I haven't been before. After scouring yelp, this place popped up and it sounded super tasty. It was about a mile down the road from Suburban showplace, so I didn't have to venture to far. Pulling in, the locations easy to find. It's a fast casual place serving somewhat traditional and non traditional Mediterranean food. They serve bowls, wraps and salads with a combination of ingredients you can add or take away. I reviewed the menu and the man at the counter was super friendly and helpful. I didn't want a bowl because the portion size looked rather large for me at that moment, and so I went with the Gyro as I had secretly wanted this all along. I decided to get a combo because I was feeling quite hungry. I got a drink and some fries along with my gyro and it all came out about 10 minutes or so later. The gyro was actually really good! I wasn't sure if it would fill me up or not but it did and it was very fresh tasting. They kind of went skimpy on the fries to be honest, but I wasn't going to say anything. They do have a pop fountain here so I can get my drink on when I need more Sprite. I did use a ton of napkins because they were on the thinner side and I tend to have to wipe my hands a lot for some reason. (not sure why, maybe I should look into this.) THe locations super clean and they also have a cooler with some specialty desserts and other items that I checked out while they made my food. My total bill was $19.08 after everything. Kind of pricey but the food was good and I plan on returning. Very well run establishment! read more

I stop by around 6:30 on a Monday evening and got a wrap with lamb. I was not crazy about the bread that it was wrap in . I wish it had more flavor and thinner. Overall it was fine. I would like to try the bowl. They have all toppings on display. read more

Really pleasant experience. The place is bright, clean, lots of beverage choices and the food is prepared very well! Super tasty and tender chicken kabob. Many fresh and delicious toppings! I purchased Chopped Olive platters for a Lunch & Learn event yesterday and I was VERY impressed. The food was delicious, the presentation was gorgeous and the service was attentive and efficient. I will certainly use them for catering again and will add them to my personal "favs" list - for my family and friends. Loved the yellow rice as the base. The chicken was very flavorful but just a tad dry. I had two scoops of their garlic sauce - shoulda asked for a third as it was so good! I did pay a little extra to get the grape leaves but wasn't a fan - the ones I have gotten from other places were more of a rice mixture in them but I am not quite certain what was in these - kinda tasted like it was just rolled grape leaves... i'm assuming that there was some sort of filling in it but I really don't know. My husband got one of their pizzas and it was very good. It also had chicken Shawarma on it. I liked how it was cut as it was not the traditional pizza pie sliced into eight slices. The online ordering process is super simple and easy. You pick which kind of dish you want and then just build it up from there. I opted for the half yellow rice bowl with added salmon kabob, feta, olives, Israeli couscous and some cucumbers in a Mayo looking sauce. I ate it in one sitting for lunch and was full for the rest of the day. I waited too long to eat though, so I definitely think for around $13 you can get two meals out of a bowl. I chose two sauces - tzaiaki sauce & the garlic sauce. Use the garlic sporadically, as it does have a kick! The flavors blended well and were yummy! I'd definitely go again. read more

I ordered a laffa wrap with lettuce, chicken kabob, tomatoes, chickpeas, cucumber and garlic sauce, another chicken shawarma laffa with lettuce, pickles and ranch, a veggie laffa wrap with quinoa, lettuce, chickpeas, pickles, pita, feta and garlic sauce, a chicken kabob salad with Fattoush lettuce, all veggies except pita chips and another salad with chicken shawarma with Fattoush and all veggies and no pita and a chicken shawarma rice bowl with quinoa; cucumbers, beets, feta, chickpeas, tomatoes and a side of garlic sauce. They seem to be shortstaffed and the woman behind counter apologize for the rush and a woman cutting in front of me. She thanked me for my patience. From the first time I picked up food at Chopped Olive, I got a feeling it was going to become a place that'd enter my standard list of takeout staples. It's a great combination of easy to understand menu, great ingredients, easy process, and good value that makes for an excellent fast casual restaurant. The ingredients are familiar, but Chopped Olive does a great job delivering them in a way that's easily accessible and easy to customize, which makes a big difference when catering to picky eaters. Quality and taste of the ingredients is fantastic too! Mid-pandemic, ease of ordering and pickup for takeout is more important than ever and Chopped Olive does well here -- they allow for online ordering (through the Yelp app too) and they have a designated area for pickup orders so you can pick up in a largely contactless way. Definitely appreciated! Keto/ Low carb folks: it's easy to build a salad bowl that works for your needs here. I opt for double protein here, but I'd think you could make a solid meal without going for that options as well -- there are tons of add-ons you can add for free. I visited this restaurant pre-COVID, so this review is based on normal conditions. This place offers customizable bowls like you'd get at Mr. Kabob or Chipotle. There is a decent variety to choose from. Portions are light compared to Mr Kabob, though, and many of their items aren't seasoned much. The falafel was pretty plain and the quinoa was completely bland. The hummus did have good flavor and smooth texture. The pickled cauliflower was super sour - I wasn't a fan. While I wouldn't be completely opposed to eating here in the future, I wouldn't go out of my way or make a special trip. read more

My new favorite go-to for middle eastern/Mediterranean food! I stopped in here the other day and was blown away by the freshness of the bowl and the tastiness! The owner Al was super nice and let me sample some sauces as I wasn't sure if I would like them- and I ended up sticking with the fattoush dressing which was delicious! I got the chicken shawarma bowl and the chicken was moist and seasoned very flavorfully! For the price I definitely think it was worth it as all the ingredients tasted very fresh and healthy and the taste was awesome! The portion size was good- I could have saved half but it was too tasty to not eat! The owner also threw in some candies to my bag that were super tasty. My best friend and I drive 40 minutes from Ann Arbor to this place every so often because it's just too good! Feels kind of like a Cava but everything is made fresh daily and there are lots of options! Employees are always SO friendly- gave us a free drink and a treat just to be nice (shoutout to the owner Al)! This place is delicious -- I ordered the Fatoosh salad, which was a perfect balance of vegetables and a little crispy texture from the small pita crisps which were scattered throughout. I also got the "Feast", which was delicious chicken and steak shawarma over a nice bed of yellow rice, with a side of hummus. The meat was perfectly cooked with great taste and texture and the rice had a nice Mediterranean spicy flavor to it. Created a salad bowl based off of normal fattoush ingredients + chicken shawarma protein + hummus + whipped garlic on side + fattoush dressing on side. Chicken shawarma was nicely marinated, prepared and a decent portion for the upcharge. The hummus was also an upgrade but lacked flavor and was a very thick texture. Whipped garlic was VERY strong but great to add to hummus to improve its taste. I was able to make two meals out of the single bowl with the addition of pita chips I had at home. Dressing was also one of the better versions I have had. Super easy online order and quick preparation mid-week/mid-day Contactless pick-up in-store. The restaurant was clean and you can tell that a lot of pride goes into this restaurant. The salmon was moist and flavorful. The garlic sauce was sooooo good.
