Remember that pizza place you always ordered from in high school? That place you always wanted most as a kid? That place that shut down or degraded as the decades went on? Apparently it still exists, right on a sleepy corner in Novi. For less than twenty bucks I got one of the better pizzas I've had in the past few years and a delicious, crisp side. There are no frills here. There's not even a way of ordering online. You call, tell them what you want, and it's made within twenty minutes - just like it used to be. The pizza was good enough. Not the most flavorful or interesting, but that's kind of the point, is it not? It's a good, greasy plate of bread slathered with sauce, and cheese that instantly falls right off if it's still too hot. Everything I got had a bit of an off taste to it. Not bad, not unappetizing, but it was like each ingredient existed on its own and didn't mesh well together. I tasted sauce, then bread, then cheese, then the sauce again. Weird. But that was the worst part of the experience. Service was great. Quick, competent. Placed and dished out seamlessly. Stop by here if you're in the area. It at least deserves a good shot. I have been going to this place for years under Steve's ownership. 5 days ago it switched to a new owner. the owner didnt have the place staffed appropriately, they were yelling at each other with a full line of people. I placed my pizza 3 hours in advanced because I order 6 pizzas for a birthday party. new ownership sucks, crust was horrible, only gave us 4 pizzas because the other 2 got destroyed. charged full price for everything. read more

My friends and I ordered delivery from this place, and we received our order without any issues. The highlight of the meal was definitely the garlic breadsticks. They were delicious: great chewy texture and plenty of garlic and Parmesan on it. As for the pizza: the crust had a light, airy texture which was great. It had good flavor overall. The topping for the bacon pizza was uneven - some slices barely had any on them, which was disappointing. The pepperoni pizza a good amount of pepperoni scattered across, though. I really wanted to like Primo's as I'm always looking for locally-owned restaurants in Novi... but unfortunately it just didn't live up to my hopes for it. I've probably passed Primo's 500 times over the years, but never actually stopped in until seeing it on Yelp. It's a hole in the wall restaurant, with only a few parking spots outside. It seems like the majority of the work they do (even in a non-pandemic season) is delivery/carryout/catering, and it's definitely set up for it. The ordering process is easy, and the menu is straightforward. All the staff inside Primo's are also really nice, similarly the pickup process is easy as well. All of the staff are wearing masks, and they're enforcing mask wearing during the pickup process as well. Now onto the not-so-great... the pizza. The merit of a good hole in the wall restaurant is packing a great value of food/experience in with the unassuming exterior, but I just didn't find that at Primo's. The taste is on the same level as a take and bake pizza you'd find at your local supermarket, and the price isn't cheap enough to justify that quality. The pizza isn't bad, but I'd be hard pressed to say I wouldn't have had better pizza from the chain establishment across the street that advertises them for $5. read more

Best pie in town, hands down. Their large pizza is 2" bigger than the other pizza joints around, and the price is similar. The fish is killer, and the chicken slaps. It's also obvious the staff takes pride in what they send out, and are always very friendly. read more

I just moved to Novi and I've been trying to give every local pizza shop a chance. Primo's was next on my list. I ordered the giant size, half cheese and half pepperoni (which was a little big for my small family, I'd recommend a large for a family of 4). This pizza really hot the spot for "local stop". It's was cheesy, the pepperoni was on point, the large slices would hold their shape. The crust was a little bland, but that's hitting expectations for me at a local shop. Service was quick, btw. It's so sad but for the past year, this place has gone down hill.. The owner must not be involved because the kids he hires can't make a pizza. I order the same thinner every time.. a thin crust pizza with pepperoni and light cheese. It always comes out thick crust and with a pound of cheese. Also over cooked and dry.. This is the 3rd time in a row they have given me a terrible inedible pizza and this was the last time. I won't be coming back again.. Ya know. . .it never dawned on me to write a review of this place. We've been coming here for several years and there is definitely a reason for it. The pizza is great, the service is just as good. We had a bit of trouble in the beginning with service but I think that was due to inadequate crew. We had a few orders take too long and once it was never put in by the time we got there but without exception they made good on it o e way or another whether it was no charge, or the next one was free. . .very professional and the pizza is still the best in Novi if you ask me. And she absolutely loves the wings even though sometimes they run out of their buffalo sauce. But she makes her own so it's no biggie. It's been three years we've been coming here and haven't had a problem since the first year so I think the crew is more stable now and the food has never lacked even when there was a hiccup! I've been driving to Primo's in Birmingham for years - about a 30 minute drive. I no longer have to, thanks to this pizza spot. It's not associated with the Primo's Pizza in Bham, but it's just as good if not better. Their thin crust pizza was very crispy and delicious. We ordered a Greek salad, along with the X-Large pizza and a liter of Diet Coke. The total? Only $13.00! Where else can you order all this food for just $13.00? Every time I order pizza here it comes out differently. It's like they have a different person making it every time. Pizza is good here more often than not and their prices are amazing when using their coupons. Their thin crust for us is our go to. And our favorite item surprisingly is not the pizza. It is the wing dings and fried chicken. Easily beats kfc and other pizza joints. read more

Primo's was pretty good. We're from Chicago so we're a tough judge of pizza. Gave it 4 stars because it's good Michigan pizza, we have had pretty horrible pizza here over the years. We don't live immediately close by Primo's but have tried their food at relative's houses. I was in the area running errands, when my husband called and said he was in the mood for ribs or chicken - could I pick some up on the way home? I figured I would stop by Primo's. I ordered Ribs for 2, and the 2 small pizza special for the kids. Everything was done in about 20 min. The pizza was amazing! I ordered double cheese since it included an extra topping, and my kids only eat cheese. Now THIS was double cheese. I believe all those other places I've ordered from weren't really doubling up on the cheese. The ribs were extremely tender and tasty, and the bar b que sauce was not overwhelming, but there was extra included if needed. There was plenty of meat on them too. The pizza was great too - flavorful, great crust and sauce. We had a hard time eating only ribs and leaving the pizza for the kids. My only complaint was the coleslaw was nasty tasting. Maybe expired? I would love to try some pizza with adult toppings next time. I will definitely make an effort to swing by there again if I am running errands around meal time. read more

This Primos needs to take lessons from the other great Primos in the area. Their deep dish pizza wasn't cut properly, the crust was over cooked, supposed to be extra cheese but barely had enough cheese at all... just really bad. Ribs are not as good as the livonia stores, not very accessible to little people. Counter is very tall. I my self am about testicle height on a normal person and the counter is about 2 times taller than that. Breadsticks are good 3/5 read more

Tried ordering from here (it would be my first time trying them out)....called at 8:30 on a Sunday, no answer. The phone just rings. On their website as well as google and yelp...it says they close at 11pm. I don't know if their closed and haven't updated their hours/out of business or they just don't wanna take orders anymore. Have been coming to Primo's for a few years now. Always received a hot and fresh pizza from them. I usually order the Primo's Special and have never been disappointed. With "pizza" in their name, you figure that pizza would be their end game. However, in my humble opinion, I believe their chicken wings are even better. They make them just how I like them, crispy with a little kick. Always juicy, never dry. Would love to try more of their menu offerings but always end up re-ordering the same damn thing because it's so damn good. Just writing about this is making me pretty hungry. I'm giving this place 5 stars because I genuinely love their pizza not because it's the best pizza I've ever had (that was in Brooklyn!) That being said its my favorite go to pizza in novi and is reasonably priced and they have a friendly staff. Usually have great coupons online too. If it was solely based on taste I may give this place a 4 but for a loaded supreme pizza I kind of expected more for 19 dollars on a 14 inch. I like alot of cheese and marinara and the pizza was a little short on both but topping quality was good. I asked for silverware but did not get any but delivery service was super fast on a Monday night at dinner. The best thing we had was actually the Greek salad. That was a 5 out of 5. Had I gotten just our three topping pizza and a salad I probably would have given a 4th star because our three topping was loaded with a ton of toppings, almost as much as out supreme.
