How do you pick a favorite star in the heavy! You pick Guido's. Top notice customer service, great value for the quality of food you get, prompt service with a smile and always the best looking staff in the area. The actual store is in a strip kind of business setup, the waiting room is small, but there is a TV with sports to keep you company and seating while you wait. Best PIZZA in Brighton hands down!

    Ham was added after slicing.

Not exactly sure what happened tonight, but I ordered a pizza with half ham and half pepperoni. The pepperoni half looked ok, but the ham half looked like the ham was thrown on the pizza after it was made. Some.pieces had 6 pieces, some had one. Also, look at the pic. Some pieces of ham actually cross slices without being cut. The pizza did not taste fresh.

Pretty tasty traditional round pizza. Deep dish is just okay. I prefer Jets in that category. The sauce is unique and zesty.

The service has always been fantastic and everyone in the restaurant has been attentive and really want to make dinner a special time. The staff is also trained in wine and not afraid to make recommendations if you'd like, which is a nice touch that's harder and harder to find. The food is incredible. Apps, salads, mains - you can't miss. There are other Italian places in the area that are likely more popular that do not have as good of food or as varied of a menu. I had Branzino most recently that was prepared perfectly, each bite was delicious! Pasta is done well and the flavor is outstanding. They also have an extensive wine list by the bottle, with selections for all different tatstes and budgets. The only downside is it is a bit pricier than some other restaurants in the area, but with the food being this good, it's absolutely worth it for a date night or special occasion! The ambiance is quiet, but nice, dim lighting and soft music. All in all, if you've been skipping Arta's, stop waiting and go!

My husband and I went here today for the first time, to celebrate my birthday, which was a few weeks ago. Our waiter was Mark, and he was very good and attentive. I started with their Strawberry Fields cocktail, one of the seasonal ones, and my husband had the Old Fashioned - we enjoyed both. For our appetizer, we ordered the beef tallow candle... I had had a similar appetizer at Frame in Oak Park a while back, which has now closed, and it was good. I didn't like this one quite as much, but it was still good, and also came with some butter. I had the 8 ounce petite filet and unfortunately this is where I was disappointed - which is especially disappointing because this place is a steakhouse. I thought it was nice and tender, but didn't have much taste. The zip sauce provided with it was very good with it, but I always say that the mark of a good steak is if it doesn't need any sauces to go with it. My husband got the 16 ounce New York strip, and I felt the same way about that steak as well. That being said, we got the Potatoes Romanoff and the Brussels sprouts for our sides and those were both excellent. I would order both again, but the rest of their sides also looked good so I would maybe try something else. The Reserve also excels at customer service. They gave me a really nice candle as a birthday gift, and a card signed by the staff. They also brought out a rather large birthday sundae on the house, with fruit in it, and I was impressed by both of these things... I have never been to a restaurant where they give you a full-size candle for your birthday, as well as dessert! Because of this, I didn't get to see the full dessert menu, but the guests at the table next to us were eyeing the crème brûlée, it seemed. Based on this experience, I would come back here, but I would maybe get different steak or an accompaniment for it - they had seasoned butter add-ons and others, too. Overall, however, it was a very nice night out.

@thefoodie.99 Review - (3/5)…read more We finally made it to The Reserve Steakhouse in downtown Brighton -- a spot that's been on our must-try list for months. Beautiful space, great reputation, and the perfect setting for our long-overdue date night. We booked a reservation online, walked in, and were greeted warmly by the hostess. It was a slow night -- maybe a dozen guests total -- but oddly, we were seated right next to a very loud group of ten. Think "bar crowd energy" in an upscale steakhouse. They were having the time of their lives... just not the kind of vibe you want when you're out for a quiet dinner. Unfortunately, they didn't leave until about 20 minutes before we did, so conversation was basically a shouting match. Now, onto the food -- the part that did shine. Our server Jennifer was friendly but felt a bit ready to wrap up for the night. We started with a glass of Prosecco and hot tea for my wife. The Lobster Cargo stole the show -- buttery, garlicky, and rich, with tender lobster and crisp toast. A must-order appetizer. The Rainbow Carrots with goat cheese fondue and pistachios were flavorful, though they took 15 minutes to arrive after our first course, which felt odd given the simplicity of the dish. For mains, the Roasted Half Chicken was near perfection -- crispy skin, a rich mushroom cream sauce, and easily one of the best chicken dishes we've had (and we've eaten our way around the country). The Maple-Glazed Salmon was another win, with delicate squash, caramelized onion hash, and a Dijon sauce that tied everything together beautifully. The Potatoes Romanoof were the only real food miss -- too heavy on the cheese, too light on the potatoes. We were hoping for more of a smooth potato purée, but it leaned more cheesy casserole. Overall: Great food, lovely location, and an impressive wine and knife club program, but the lack of awareness in seating and atmosphere management really dampened the experience. With a little more attention to guest placement and energy in the room, this could easily be a five-star spot. Would we go back? Yes -- but next time, we'll definitely request a quieter table. Our party of 6 arrived about 130 pm. The outdoor seating area was open and bustling. The indoor space was less than half full and we had no wait to get a seat except that no one was at the hostess station. The bartender did greet us and another group relatively quickly but this was the only thing that was quick this visit. Without going into great detail, we were seated for about 10 minutes before a waitress came to the table. We ordered drinks and it took almost 20 minutes for them to start to arrive and 30 minutes to get all 6 drinks. It took over an hour to get food and the entire visit was almost 2 1/2 hours. Mind you this is an upscale bar not a multicourse fine dining establishment. We were told that they were understaffed due to people not showing up but from what I could see they had 2 servers and a bar tender for about 15 active tables. Our waitress, while nice, was inattentive, often leaving us with empty drinks. The food was as good as we have come to expect as were the drinks when we could get them. I will say the chicken tenders my son ordered were over cooked but still tasty. Normally, I would rate this location as 4 stars but not this trip. Again, I hope this was just an off day but service like this again will result in losing our business going forward.

Ordered chicken tender basket with seasoned fries, side Caesar, ghost pepper, BBQ and garlic Parmesan dips, a funghi large pizza, added green pepper, roasted red pepper, chicken, jalapeño, garlic butte crust and a full sized Greek salad with feta on the side. $71.55 or $73.69 with the 3% CC abd increased taxes The Greek is ok. Somehow ended up with quite a few lettuce veins with no greens to them. Not a big fan of the already sliced yellow peppers for the Greek, way too tart and not so good. The Greek dressing is rather bland. The waitress was baffled after we ordered and asked if we could get the Caesar instead of the slaw. She had told us yes when we ordered. When the food was out, she had no idea we had asked for Caesar. We had to add a side Caesar salad. We ordered the side Caesar salad, but too bad it is boring, everything about it is subpar. The tiny croutons all over. The dressing is meh. The chicken tenders are crunchy, but super heavy breading, not my thing. The ghost pepper sauce is just spicy, but not so good. Would have been good if Lauren had mentioned each additional dipping sauce would be $0.75, just courtesy to do so. The funghi pizza hardly has any mushrooms, this pie would have been beyond sparse and sad looking without the added chicken, green pepper and roasted peppers. The crust is heavy, dense. The sauce is creamy, not for me. The pizza slice sags over. Not a fan of the cheese sauce on this funghi much either. This subpar pizza was $32 at HH end of it. Several to go spot would have been better pizza than tonight. I now know why this place is just under 3.5 stars, that may be generous for what you get. Food is below average.
