The customer service was great!! For a small sub , kids sub and a side of max and cheese was $20 The meatball sub would be better if there was cheese in the sun not just melted on top. When you take one bite then you don't have cheese for the next. The club on a sub is beyond any sun I've had anywhere else! All the ingredients feel fresh from the meat to the bread! The bread is top notch for sure! Mac and cheese was great! I was tinkering back and forth between a 3 and 4 and I decided a 4. I love firehouse subs. Their bread has a slight sweetness. The fact that they put pickles in the is amazing! Today I got the Italian. I go between that and the Hook and Ladder. The meats are delicious. They warm the sub up so that the cheese melts. So good! Really great, fresh toppings. This location is always clean and the food good. The issue I have is that every time I go here, the staff just never seem happy. It's almost like me being there is an inconvenience. That's what really makes me go between a 3 and 4 because customer service is so important. Why go to a place where you don't feel comfortable going to. We discovered FIREHOUSE when we moved to the Brighton/Howell area. We find the menu to be excellent and the staff friendly and helpful. We have never had a bad meal. It's nice to be greeted when we hit the door and the place is spotless. We always get the HOOK and LADDER every time we go which is once a week. One day I will surprise the heck out of them and order something different. . . or maybe not! For the value and quality you can't go wrong at this Firehouse location. read more

I received an email about a promotion for a "buy one/get one free" promotion if you ordered online through the app. My husband received the same email. We decided to take advantage of the great deal OFFERED to us, but there was a glitch in the ordering platform. My husband went into the location and explained the situation and even showed the (female) "manager" his email offer. She was uninterested, and dismissed him by telling him "There is nothing I can do." He challenged that by stating that she could if she wanted to, since he was having issues. Her response to that was to "call corporate." This is unacceptable customer service. Especially when the error was out of his control. There is too much competition in the food industry to roll the dice and risk losing customers. read more

I love firehouse!!!! Everything about this place gives me butterflies (The good kind of butterflies)! Great tasting subs! I ordered the N.Y. Steamer that combines a few different deli meats (pastrami, etc.) that total a full quarter pound, in addition to 2 full slices of cheese on a hoagie and then toasted. For the medium sub by itself, which was 8" long, it was around $6.00 including tax. And while the quality is superior to a Tubby's or Subway and offers a greater meat to bread ratio, I wasn't as full as I would've been having ordered elsewhere and spending the same amount of money. That said, if quality and full flavor is the mark that Firehouse is trying to hit then they're most definitely on target. What I loved was, the cool pop machine that has all flavors of pop in one crazy soda robot from the future, and the huge array of hot sauces you can try at no charge. All the sauces were all individually labeled according to hotness on a scale from 1-10 and they provide small cups and lids in case you want to take some with you. The store was bright and clean and the staff was very nice. This franchise's owner, John, reached out to me to clarify some of the remarks I made that were incorrect and he was perfectly professional and polite and even offered to buy me lunch to win over my satisfaction. I can appreciate anyone who is as passionate about their customer base as he is so I upgraded my initial 3 stars to 4 for running a class act shoppe. read more

Just tried this firehouse location again with the same results I've had in the past. My steak and cheese literally had a teaspoon of meat on it. The wifes salad was dumped out in the bag because the top was not secured. I've had consistently better experiences at other firehouse locations. read more

Although they do have a pretty solid sub compared to most places (actually can taste/see the meat in it)...I had the jamaican jerk turkey sub and wasn't impressed. Plain ole American style sub...no jerk..not much flavor just some sweet mustard and the turkey is the slippery deli kind...I would prefer a solid roasted turkey or something better quality. Not impressed. Also this location is always dirty (not just this time of year)...which is kind of a turn off when you eat in. Please sweep...Maybe mop every once in a while...it's never busy in here. read more

I called the store in advance to ask about build your sub menu for the vegetarian sub. I was told that you can customize what veggies are on the sub. My wife went to store and ordered veggie sub no mushrooms & a corned beef brisket sub. After opening sandwich boxes we found abundant amount of mushrooms (picture attached) on the veggie sub and corned beef brisket totally soaked in sauce to the point that the meat slid out of the sandwich. Very disappointed and not worth the money. Recommend avoiding. read more

I was very impressed with the service, atmosphere, and quality of food at Firehouse Subs. I'd never been to one, and I didn't have very high hopes in the new sandwich shop in Brighton. I'm glad I was proven wrong! When my husband and I walked in, the man behind the counter asked if we wanted to be walked through the menu. To humor him, I said yes. I'm glad I did. He did the whole story of the restaurant and pointed out the good subs. My husband was skeptical of the meatball sub after the awful meatball subs at subway. Eager to please, the employees gave him a sample meatball and a taste of one of the other sauces. My husband ended up ordering the meatball sub, and I went with the engineer (turkey, Swiss, mustard, & mushrooms held-the-mayo). The sub was warm and they used a very tasty/spicy (but-not-too-spicy) mustard on it. The bread was a darker variety with a sweet taste to it. The taste I had of the meatball sub was very good too (hard to even compare it to the yucky Subway one). The only thing I wish they had was other healthier side options. The only sides were chips and the only salad was entree sized. The restaurant itself was clean and bright inside. I liked the focus on supporting real-life firefighters. The service wasn't as fast as Subway or Jimmy John's (you actually take a number and are seated to wait for your sub), but I thought it was a small price to pay for the high-quality feel of the place. One of the things I liked best about the restaurant was its touch screen pop machine. I'd seriously go here every day (maybe several times a day) just for pop if I worked nearby. I drink diet, and they had so many options for me: Diet Coke, Diet Caffeine Free Coke, Coke Zero, Sprite Zero, Diet Barq's, Diet Dr. Pepper, and I'm probably missing some. Best of all, each variety had a sub-menu with flavor additions. Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper? Peach Sprite Zero? Raspberry Diet Coke? Yes, please! There were so many options, and all of the ones I tried were good. My husband had to haul me away from the machine. I'm not a huge sandwich shop person, but I think we'll definitely go back here again. Love the digital futuristic coke machine. Overall food is way better then Subway, jimmy johns or tubbys. I wish they would expand to a few more locations. LOVE this place!! Something different in the area and the subs are good. Cost is a bit more than Subway. Feel is fun and great for kids. Customer service is wonderful!!! POP machine is to die for!! (Coke products) In a perfect world, they would have a drive through!! They supply an array of hot sauces to suit whatever, if even, your fancy. Many choices of subs to choose from and will custom however you like. Meals come with chips, a pickle, beverage and your sub, of course! Not impressed with these subs at all. This is the 2nd time I've ordered from this sub shop because the 1st time I ate there they had just opened & I had hoped the "kinks" would be worked out by now. Not so!! Subs are just average while being overpriced. I had the steak & cheese. Like an old commercial i asked, "Where's the beef?" And cheese was virtually none existent. Had a horrible experience here tonight. I walked in at 9:50 pm, not realizing they closed at 10. The store was empty until a young looking female employee came out with a rude look on her face. She notified me they closed at 10 and I asked if I could still get a sandwich. She rolled her eyes and gave me a rude look before saying sure with an extreme attitude. Had she politely told me they had already started cleaning up I would have left without a complaint, but she did not. I have never had such a poor customer experience and will not be returning. Just had the worst customer service in there, went in to order my son a kids meal and from the start she was very sarcastic to me when I asked a question, then I asked if juice or milk came with instead of a fountain drink, instead of being kind about it she was sarcastic and snapped at me that it's just the fountain drinks, I almost said forget my order because that attitude was plain hurtful but I didn't how ever I will no longer go back and be sure to tell anyone I know about the bad service. Great subs. Love the BBQ brisket. Basic condiments and veggies. Obviously firehouse theme inside. When you checkout they ask you to round up your total to the next dollar to donate to local firefighters which is a nice touch. Small combo with drink and chips is usually around $10 read more
