It's been nearly a year since I've been to an Olga's and I'm still dreaming about the Olga's Snackers Basket. This is a must order. In addition to a Snackers Basket we ordered a BBQ Bourbon Mac & Cheese Bowl and the Original Olga with Zucchini Fries. The Mac and Cheese Bowl was rich and enough for either two people to share or for two meals. The Original Olga was decent. The slice of cheese kind of threw me off. I had an hour before my appt and stopped in for dinner. Beth greeted me and showed me to my table. It was a rough day and I appreciated the kind smile and friendly demeanor. The dining room was spacious with comfy booths. A little on the cool side but definitely comfortable. I really wanted half the menu but chose the unlimited soup salad and snackers. Beth was super nice and on top of the refills. No way could I have had more food but I forgot how good the lemonade was here. A bit sweet but as good when Beth cut it with a little water for me. It's pretty ridiculous, especially nowadays with people who have allergies. To stop in and the kitchen can't even tell you if you can eat there or not. They just say we can't guarantee it. How do you not know what you're serving?. And I'm sure at a place like this most things are pre-made. You can't just look at the label or the ingredients on something that comes in pre-packaged? And the fact that you can't even take one minute when you literally have one table in the whole entire restaurant to be able to figure that out is absurd. My husband literally had to go up to the counter and complain to be able to get help. Things have really went down at these restaurants customer service wise. They should really train their staff as opposed to having people work there who have no idea what's going on and literally just scream out to the front that they can't guarantee any allergies read more

I really love the peasant soup from this restaurant. It's a meat and vegetable based soup that is Michigan made and unlike anything I've found anywhere. They have these triangle snackers with this almond butter cheese spread that complements it perfectly. I like the Olga original which is a gyro meat pita sandwich. The waitress was so sweet and attentive. She was fast with our food and was friendly. Very knowledgeable about the menu as well. The menu has expanded: for example they have a snacker bowl. You can put salad or a taco salad or something inside this bowl made of of those yummy snackers which I think would be delicious. They also have this creamsicle shake that is very refreshing and orange tasting. Lots of Mediterranean options with a spin. The parking lot is small but functionable and there is a large parking lot nearby if needed. You can access without steps in the bathrooms are very clean. I've been an Olga's customer for 40 years (!) and I believe this Olga's wins the prize. We've eaten here several times on our travels and they do it right. The food is as fresh as it gets -- right out of the kitchen in my experiences here. The service from Beth is top of class. Experienced and fast, friendly and accurate, she would be a gem and an asset at any restaurant IMO. I have always loved Olga's since I was a kid. We stopped off for lunch, as we were killing time to wait for our movie to start. The food is consistently good and it is extremely rare that I am disappointed with my Original Olga (extra large of course). The staff was friendly (possibly overworked) but we were never left wanting something at our table. Sorry folks - no pics this time - we were too excited to eat and simply forgot. I just did curbside pickup through the Olga's Kitchen app and it was great! My order was accurate, ready when promised, everything was well packaged, and the person was friendly. We ordered the Gala Apple Pecan salad which was very good. We also ordered the chicken Shawarma which was good but probably not the best shawarma you can get in SE Michigan. We would definitely add the Gala Apple Pecan salad into our regular rotation. read more

Quinn was amazing. My sister has celiac and indicated that should could not have bread. Quinn picked up on that and asked her about there was a medical reason for that. Quinn indicated that the gyro meat is not gluten free. We were not aware of that and change the order. Quinn saved my sister for being very sick. Quinn is a Rock Star!! I what is it like to rekindle a friendship with an old friend, this is how I felt today. The one outstanding memory of my 48 year old marriage is dining around the DETROIT area at Olga's. My favorite has always been the Brighton location. What a joy to see our waiter, Mike, who has been here for at least four years! His smile, attentiveness and smooth delivery of taking care of our needs especially serving the food is impeccable. Mike did not bribe me! ( this is for the corporate heads that overlook this establishment. Eric, the cook prepared a triple delicious delight of Snackers with your infamous Swiss Almond cheese spread, the heavenly salad my favorite side dish and the regular Olga with a flood of Olga sauce. Simply still the best dining experience in Brighton'! I'll argue with those reviews that criticize this dining experience. It's that good. If Olga walked in, she would be so proud of this clean and well kept restaurant and their service! In my last review I complained of the high prices but with today's economy, this food is totally worth the dining pleasure of a job well done. read more

I am a bit at a loss for words here. The chicken shawarma- I was caught a off guard by the overwhelming taste of cinnamon. I know traditional shawarma does have a hint of cinnamon but oh my word, it was just awful. I cannot even think of this place without remembering how awful that was. As a chain, this is what makes Olga's a success. This local store offers a quick take out area or a full service dining room for lunch and dinner. Lots of booth or table seating to accommodate small to medium size parties and free wifi if you need to work while you eat and meet. This place is our go to spot for a coworker and I when we're in desperate need of some good ole comfort food after a hard day at work. We order here at least once a week and the food is always fresh, piping hot, and ready in minutes so we can swing by quickly and get back to work. One of our favorites is what we call the "pancakes" Lol, we still don't truly know what they're called but it's a stack of delicious warm pitas that is the absolute perfect carb craving snack on a rough day! this was absolutely such a disappointment. We waited 20 minutes for a table and half the restaurant was full and they told us it would be 45 minutes for our food. I asked the waitress for a straw and a spoon for coffee and she brought back a spoon 10 minutes later a straw. after an hour we asked if her food would be coming out soon and she said no they haven't even started it. Decided to try this today. It was yummy yummy yummy! I had the original Olga and peasant soup. The soup was sooooo tasty! It came with some Olga bread triangles and a bit of tasty butter. The trouble was, the soup was so filling, I couldn't finish my Olga! That's okay, though, because it will still be good later. Of course, I had to get an orange creamsicle to go. That took me back to when I was young! Beth provided the best service we could want. She was friendly and attentive and helpful as well. If/when I get back here, I hope she's on duty! Ate here for the first time with a friend of mine. The place wasn't very busy and it took along time to get our food. Nothing special, just a couple of chicken wraps with fries. Our waitress also acted like she did not want to be there. She wasn't very friendly but we tried to be extra nice thinking she maybe just was having a bad day. We got our food and it wasn't hot at all, like it had been sitting for a bit. The wraps were good just wish the food would have been hot. Will try again. read more

Date of Visit: July 2, 2011. I used to go to Olga's because of their sauce and Olga bread, but find my current visit a little disappointing. I ordered the Classic Meal. The fries were limp and could have been cooked a little longer. The coleslaw was a little warm, so I did not want to take the chance to eat it.. Although the Server was very nice and came to our table a few times, it took a while to get our meals (and they are not busy at all). read more

I went here b/c it came highly recommended. Boy was I disappointed. I got carry out, and I couldn't believe how small the portions were for the price. For one, the lemonade was ridiculously pricey and small. Then we got some sort of Olga tizers or Olga snacks. I dunno, everything on the menu is Olga this and Olga that. The Olgawhatevers were limp and salty. Next, the Olga sandwich was gloppy and fell apart. I mean, I could have rolled some pita bread around a couple of hunks of meat and made it hold better then they did. To make matters worse, the carry out was packaged in about 5 different Styrofoam containers and other non recyclable cups and such. I'm not sure what all the fuss is about.
