Great food the garlic and spicy hummus were awesome. When they say scoot they mean it and the pita bread was great also.

This isn't the first time (more like 4th or 5th), that the fatoosh salad is barely half filled in the container. For almost $15 (with feta), this is sad. Get your portions correct. read more

Last weekend I was in the area for a high school reunion and was looking for someplace different to eat and discovered La Marsa. The food was fantastic served hot and with only a short wait and had an amazing house salad to start. Everything on it was fresh in the dressing was perfect. For my entrée I had chicken ghallaba which was delicious served hot the assorted vegetables are perfect and delicious and the chicken in bite-size pieces but well seasoned and also delicious. The wait staff was fantastic as well. If I am ever back in the area again this will be a place I visit once more. read more

This was my first experience at this restaurant. It was a to go order because I was in a hurry. We ordered the meat Shawarma, Falafel, hummus plate and Fatoush. Everything was absolute perfection. The portions were appropriate, the salad was fresh, and hummus was top-notch. The price was extremely reasonable, and the staff was very friendly. It took them less than 10 minutes to have everything prepared and wrapped to go. I will definitely be going back for a sit down experience. The food is good, quality Arabic food at a competitive price. I am giving 3 stars because of the carry out service. 2 times I have had la less than favorable experience. During the most recent order we order dinner for a friend who was at the hospital visiting her husband in the burn unit. We also added an item for ourselves. $60 order. When my wife picked up the order the carry out employee was annoyed that my wife asked that the side dish be put in a separate bag. After the guy reluctantly took the side dish out, my wife left and took the meal to our friend at the hospital. When she got home with the side dish we learned the guy didn't put the bread in with the banaganoush. The only silver lining is that we hope our friend received and enjoyed the xtra bread. Great Mediterranean food! My coworkers and I have been to this restaurant a handful of times, but I don't take any pics. I always love the deboned chicken dish and the pita appetizer with the garlic sauce is really tasty. The service is always good too when I've been there. The interior is a well lit and open space. So pissed, I ordered falafel and a salad to go for my mother who lives 25 minutes away around $30. I was so excited to get my 75 year old mom one of her favorite meals. When she opened it up the falafel was burnt she couldn't even eat it. It's not my job to check the order before I leave, it's their job to make it correctly. As good as or better than any Middle Eastern restaurant in SE Michigan, outside of Dearborn, which is terrific for Brighton. Pleased they had kibbeh nayyeh (lamb tartar) and grilled quail on the menu, both perfect. The server was friendly and we were not rushed. Would go out of the way to return. read more

I've been to La Marsa a couple of times and it has been consistently very good! Their hummus, tabbouli, and fattoush were all excellent! The service was great, and the interior is spacious and clean. We went there on Sunday night before a movie. We split a 1/2 order of be order of all white deboned chicken cooked with lemon oregano. The food quality was outstanding as usual. The chicken vegetable soup is the best soup that i have had in any restaurant that i have been to. The staff is always attentive and personable. On a recent weekend, my partner in crime and I wanted something a little different for lunch. We had just wrapped up a morning hike in the Kensington Metropark and decided to scour Yelp for a new place to try. La Marsa had good reviews, so we set our GPS and made our way there. We arrived shortly after the restaurant opened and we were promptly seated at a booth by the window. The server brought our a high chair for our munchkin, and we started to order. The first round was fresh, hot pita bread and a garlic spread - I love this stuff! My main course was the Shish Kafta sandwich, and it hit the mark - savory slices of meat, hummus, and pickles, all folded into a soft and thin wrap. I did what I always do with Mediterranean food and ate myself stuffed, but I enjoyed every bite! When the waiter brought our food, he said "bon appétit" to which my husband instinctively answered "merci". That started a conversation between them about how they both speak French, and added a fun spark to the already excellent service there. I hope we are back in Brighton soon, because I'm already dreaming of returning to La Marsa! read more

The food was great with reasonable prices to match. I had a little trouble getting the wait staff to understand what I wanted. I had looked at the menu online and picked out a plate with falafel, humus, and tabbouli. They had lunch special wraps which was not what I had in mind, but that is what I ended up with. It was good, but I wanted them separate in the plate, not combined in a wrap---but my fault for not making my order perfectly clear. I will be back, as the food was good. Excellent Mediterranean food. Good service. Polite staff. The lemonade was wonderful and their Arnold Palmers were a delight. I wasn't too adventurous that night and ended up with a kabob - very, very good. The only "negative" was that one of our party ran late and after being attentive to us to make a couple of trips to our table we kinda slipped down on the service queue even after our last member showed up. I started to joke "no soup for you!" Eventually, we got back on the radar and all was great. La Marsa is hands down the best Mediterranean food in Michigan, period. I first started being a regular at their Farmington location back in 2010, which was by my work, then they opened a location down the street from my house in Brighton, then I moved to Hartland and they opened a location there! They are unbelievably consistent in food quality and service! They treat you like you are family! My favorite order is the garden salad with a side lamb kabob. And their garlic dip and pita is addicting. I have had literally every item on their menu over my last 12 years of being a regular and have never been disappointed!
