Howell is lucky to have Dave's. They serve "sliders," which I put in quotes because they are giant and essentially full sized sandwiches. They also have the option of hot tenders, hot cauliflower chicken patties, and hot nuggets. I recommend the slider with French fries. The fries are always temp hot, and seasoned perfectly. I added cheese to my slider on my 2nd visit, 10/10 recommend. I did try the Mac & cheese on the 2nd visit and would recommend just sticking to fries. It was very soupy; although it made a good cheese dip for fries. The service is always excellent, and they have come products! The only thing they are missing is ranch! read more

Dave's Hot Chicken - One slider, one tender - Chicken Shop Near Me - Howell, Michigan

Wanted a quicker bite today during our errand run. This location is a stand alone and it has its own big parking lot and drive-thru too. Used to be a Wendy's a while ago. The interior decor looks like graffiti street art. Order at the counter and pickup your order there as well. Ordered 2 two tenders (medium and extra hot) with the kale slaw side instead of fries, 10 piece chicken bites (hot) with fries and a Oreo shake with vanilla ice cream. $43.21 The chicken tenders are overcooked and dry, hard to cut too. The chicken bites are not overcooked, moist and tasty. The kale slaw is bland, not for me. Definitely need to invest in better plastic forks here, both of our forks bent after cutting up our tenders from the heat or from being too hard. read more

They have excellent hot bites of chicken that are moist and really tasty. Don't think it's only hot spicy they have no spice and mild too. They offer a great snack pack that has 10 bites, fries and a drink for under $10 they serve the best pickles too . Nice place for low pressure casual meal read more

We go out of our way to get Dave's Hot Chicken. Always fresh, relatively quick and a family favorite. Portions are plenty whether it's chicken tenders or the slider. Food isn't greasy, good drink and crazy concoction of shakes to choose from. read more

Chicken slider was DELICIOUS! Better than Chic Fil A!! I have been to Dave's a few times but it's been awhile and I forgot how good it was lol. It was my boyfriend's first time trying Dave's and he was very impressed. I quote, "It should be illegal for KFC to say 'Finger licking good' after having THIS chicken." Karen, who took our orders was super helpful and friendly. We loved the vibe of the whole place, it had a very upbeat but relaxed feel. Overall, super yummy, it's now a stable for me and my boyfriend. :) read more

Rating: 0/5 Terrible customer service. An employee named Becca yelled at us and said she couldn't help us if we needed another minute, claiming the store was "extremely busy" when there was literally nobody else there. She was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional from the start. She also refused to make shakes, saying the machines were already cleaned, even though the store didn't close for almost another hour. There was no reason for the attitude or the yelling. Completely unacceptable behavior and a very frustrating experience. read more

We were SO excited to see a Dave's on the map in Michigan. We love the place and it's always on our list of places to eat on our West Coast trips. It didn't disappoint!! Outstanding!!! As usual. It was Halloween and late, it wasn't busy. We sure hope people discover it. One of the best fast food joints on the market these days. read more

I was reading the history of Dave's hot chicken on the wall while waiting for my food and more than once it said mind blowing chicken Well I don't know about all that but it was really good I got the medium tons of flavour probably the best chicken tender I've ever had. But it's expensive as hell 1- tender and 1- slider with fries and a drink $20 it was good but not that good read more

Uh oh!! Dave's is AMAZZZING! I only went through the drive through but I'm telling you it's SO good that Dave's diet even need a dining room. Remember how restaurants began offering "grown up Mac & Cheese" and we ask thought that was the best thing ever?! Dave's is like KFC for grownups. It's SO good! Give it a try! read more

$15 for three badly overcooked chicken tenders and surprisingly undercooked fries. I could get the same for half the price at the KFC across the street, and they actually make their biscuits, all I got in my box was a couple slices of white bread. If I want a simple chicken tender, I'm not spending this much. It's clean inside, though I suspect that's more because it's recently opened than effort on the part of the staff. The music playing inside was good, but so loud, I had a hard time hearing what the checkout was saying. read more

I typically don't even like chicken but I found myself here and Ben in the back worked some absolute magic. Will only eat it again if he is cooking! read more

If you are a chicken sandwich connoisseur Dave's got you covered. This is quality food. Served hot. In both ways. You pick your spice level. But beware, I like it spicy and I picked mild and I still had a little indigestion. Nothing a little apple cider vinegar couldn't fix. 2 sliders and fries meal is prob enough food for 2 people. It's 14 bucks and some change. The coleslaw adds a nice crunch to the sandwich. The bread is soft and perfectly compliments the sandwich. This is way better than chic fillet or any other fast food chicken sandwich place I've tried. If you haven't tried Dave's yet go give them a try. It's well worth the drive. read more

My family and I all love the food here. The chicken is juicy and so flavorful. My daughter is crazy about their Dave's sauce! The staff are always so friendly and helpful. This is our go-to for chicken! read more

I only discovered Dave's about a year ago but their hot chicken sandwich is the best I've ever tasted, and this Howell location is the best of all the 5 or 6 locations I've tried. The chicken is really flavorful and huge. This is not a chicken patty; it's a big piece of chicken breast. I'm not really a slaw fan but theirs is made with kale that really gives a great flavor. The fries are crispy and well seasoned. Even the pickles are some kind of high end deli pickle slices. The staff at this location is very friendly and helpful. The young lady looked at our order and told us we could save a couple bucks if we did the order slightly differently and she brought our food out to us before we could go up and get it. If you've never tried it you really should. read more

The food is fantastic! Love the chicken bites! The service is pretty good, however they drive me crazy moving the metal chairs across concrete cleaning. The ambiance is that of a random LA underpass from the 90's. read more

Dave's Hot Chicken - Dave's Bites. - Chicken Shop Near Me - Howell, Michigan

I had a great experience at the Howell location. The food was awesome and Nolan greeted me with a smile and efficient service!

dave's hot chicken is amazing. It's spicy wonderful decorations. The employees are nice and I love their milkshakes.

Great fries and great chicken sliders. I ordered a Medium heat chicken slider and an Extra Hot heat slider (they wanted me to sign a waiver for the Reaper heat so I went with the step down). The chicken is pretty good. I did get some stringy bites but overall it's crispy crunchy and pretty good stuff. The heat level was a little underwhelming for the level right under Reaper but I liked that the pickle and the kale slaw added something to the texture and the taste. If you're going to order fries to take home prepare to throw them in an air-fryer to crisp them up. They do get pretty soggy pretty quickly. The cheese fries were extra soggy once I got them home, which was fine. In retrospect I think I'd rather just dine-in so everything lands in front of me as Dave intended it to be eaten. read more

Good service. Clean restaurant with awesome decoration. And the chicken was fantastic! Two big thumbs up!

Dave's Hot Chicken - Chicken Shop Near Me - Howell, Michigan

I was in Howell and figured I'd grab an early dinner (went around 4pm). I ordered Dave's #2 (two sliders and fries) with spice level medium, substitute cheese fries, a side of Mac and a small strawberry shake. All this cost me $24. When I got home, noticed no cheese on my fries. (It even said sub cheese fries on my receipt) I figured maybe the little container they gave me was the cheese. Nope. Disappointed. I'm sure it cost extra to sub cheese fries too. Took my first bite and I wouldn't even call it "medium" there was no flavor, no spice. Disappointed again. Mac N Cheese wasn't terrible as I did eat half of it. Just needed a little salt and pepper. Maybe I'd go again. But would double check my order before leaving the parking lot. read more

The food is decent, but it's overpriced. I don't think i'd come back, but they've got some good spicy wings.

Chicken is extremely juicy. I got 2 tenders with a side of cheese fries. The cheese was layered all throughout the fries so I got some cheese with every bite. I got one hot tender and one medium tender. They both had just the right amount of spice. There was no wait and I got my food made fresh in under 5mins. Service was good. Food is a little expensive but I will definitely be coming back. read more

Dave's Hot Chicken - Dave's #1 2 Tenders w/ Cheese Fries - Chicken Shop Near Me - Howell, Michigan

I want to preface this by saying the food is amazing. I have zero issues with their food and if I could I'd eat there everyday. That being said the chosen decor of the restaurant feels out of place greatly. The tables are stained with paint splatters, the floor looks like raw concrete was laid down and left as is, there is weird metal studs/baseboards that make it feel like the owners were trying to go industrial and failed... overall the inside is incredibly dissapointing to sit in despite how delicious the food is. read more

Over priced fried chicken Just not worth it , it's tenders or sliders, sliders are just tenders on a bun. Bun gets soggy read more

I can't believe this place is still running. They treat their employees with so much disrespect and ignorance it's unbelievable. The teenage employees don't really notice because of how high they are. They had new management take over after just a few months of opening, they changed everything for the worst. Not to mention the food is so expensive, $15 for a sandwich, fries and no drink. What a joke. read more

Dave's Hot Chicken - Bathroom - Chicken Shop Near Me - Howell, Michigan

We like to eat spicy food but this chicken unfortunately was not really that good. We ordered medium spice and the batter had a sugary sweet taste which was not good and overpowering kind of like when you dump way to much seasoning on something. My wife actually felt sick after eating it. My kid said the Mac and cheese was good and had a hint of spice which I agreed with after tasting. The plain chicken was was good buts that because it had no seasoning. The pricing we thought was also high for what you get. We paid around $26.50 for two #3 meals and no drinks. Probably won't go back and if you take a family of 4 expect to pay around $50.00+ which is insane for fast food! I was going to leave a 1 star but because the chicken with no spice and Mac was ok/good I won't but after thinking about the price I give it a 1-1/2 stars. We live locally and go by here daily so we are disappointed and was hoping for better. read more

After seeing this place on Instagram for years we saw a new location opened by kind of by us and had to try it out! For $13 and some change you can get 2 sandwiches and fries. We swapped fries for Mac n cheese and no additional charge which was nice. Mild and medium didn't taste much different to us but both were decently spicy. I'd probably stick to mild and my husband would up it to hot next time. Only complaint is the Mac n cheese could use a tad salt. we both love that they add extra pickles on the side if you want them- which we did!! Overall 8.5-9/10 on taste. We will be back for sure! Worth the 40 min drive there. read more

Attended grand opening today and have to say the food experience was about average. Considering this is just chicken it's hard to judge against other dining places. Essentially it's just fast food fried chicken. It is good and moist so that's a plus. If they offered more sides and a good dessert like peach cobbler. They would have maybe got this review higher. Advice, if your going with a friend just order the #2. It's enough to share and will save you some $$$ read more

We went here for the first time last Saturday. I had high hopes as I live spicy chicken! I ordered 2 single chicken tenders with medium spice with a bottle of water- it was 12.49! Prices are outrageous for what you get. The spice was so overpowering, too much cayenne!! No balance of flavors. The inside of the chicken was overcooked Very disappointing!! Will not be back! First time eating here- im from KY and they actually open one there last year but haven't had chance to try. Saw a TikTok guy who was trying the slider and said was really good. So gave it a chance- my thoughts are, first they didnt get my order correct as I asked, but I didnt notice till got home. Secondly the way the sandwich was it was a mess and the bun was folding downward when went take first bite. I got a mild and medium spice and actually didnt notice a difference in the two. im not a slaw guy, but I try when it comes on hot stuff as well as pickles. I asked for Daves sauce on the side and it came with like a tablespoon of it on the sandwich - im sure not helping the sogginess of it. by no mean did it taste horrible, but it was like eating an open face slider with slaw mind you and pickles flopping everywhere- so the experience of it was bad. the worst part is my son I got him a tendy plain and he would not eat it as he thought it looked like chicken liver fried. so I may have try one more time for him to order so he knows im not trying trick him, he is special needs so appearance is half the battle. read more
