Ordered 2 two tenders (medium and extra hot) with the kale slaw side instead of fries, 10 piece chicken bites (hot) with fries and a Oreo shake with vanilla ice cream. $43.21 The chicken tenders are overcooked and dry, hard to cut too. The chicken bites are not overcooked, moist and tasty. The kale slaw is bland, not for me. Definitely need to invest in better plastic forks here, both of our forks bent after cutting up our tenders from the heat or from being too hard. read more

Chicken slider was DELICIOUS! Better than Chic Fil A!! I have been to Dave's a few times but it's been awhile and I forgot how good it was lol. It was my boyfriend's first time trying Dave's and he was very impressed. I quote, "It should be illegal for KFC to say 'Finger licking good' after having THIS chicken." Howell is lucky to have Dave's. They serve "sliders," which I put in quotes because they are giant and essentially full sized sandwiches. They also have the option of hot tenders, hot cauliflower chicken patties, and hot nuggets. I recommend the slider with French fries. The fries are always temp hot, and seasoned perfectly. I added cheese to my slider on my 2nd visit, 10/10 recommend. I did try the Mac & cheese on the 2nd visit and would recommend just sticking to fries. I only discovered Dave's about a year ago but their hot chicken sandwich is the best I've ever tasted, and this Howell location is the best of all the 5 or 6 locations I've tried. The chicken is really flavorful and huge. This is not a chicken patty; it's a big piece of chicken breast. I'm not really a slaw fan but theirs is made with kale that really gives a great flavor. The fries are crispy and well seasoned. Even the pickles are some kind of high end deli pickle slices. The staff at this location is very friendly and helpful. The young lady looked at our order and told us we could save a couple bucks if we did the order slightly differently and she brought our food out to us before we could go up and get it. It's 14 bucks and some change. The coleslaw adds a nice crunch to the sandwich. The bread is soft and perfectly compliments the sandwich. Great fries and great chicken sliders. I ordered a Medium heat chicken slider and an Extra Hot heat slider (they wanted me to sign a waiver for the Reaper heat so I went with the step down). The chicken is pretty good. I did get some stringy bites but overall it's crispy crunchy and pretty good stuff. The heat level was a little underwhelming for the level right under Reaper but I liked that the pickle and the kale slaw added something to the texture and the taste. If you're going to order fries to take home prepare to throw them in an air-fryer to crisp them up. They do get pretty soggy pretty quickly. The cheese fries were extra soggy once I got them home, which was fine. In retrospect I think I'd rather just dine-in so everything lands in front of me as Dave intended it to be eaten. read more

I want to preface this by saying the food is amazing. I have zero issues with their food and if I could I'd eat there everyday. That being said the chosen decor of the restaurant feels out of place greatly. The tables are stained with paint splatters, the floor looks like raw concrete was laid down and left as is, there is weird metal studs/baseboards that make it feel like the owners were trying to go industrial and failed... overall the inside is incredibly dissapointing to sit in despite how delicious the food is. read more

I ordered Dave's #2 (two sliders and fries) with spice level medium, substitute cheese fries, a side of Mac and a small strawberry shake. All this cost me $24. When I got home, noticed no cheese on my fries. (It even said sub cheese fries on my receipt) I figured maybe the little container they gave me was the cheese. Nope. Disappointed. I'm sure it cost extra to sub cheese fries too. Took my first bite and I wouldn't even call it "medium" there was no flavor, no spice. Disappointed again. Mac N Cheese wasn't terrible as I did eat half of it. Just needed a little salt and pepper. Maybe I'd go again. But would double check my order before leaving the parking lot. read more

We like to eat spicy food but this chicken unfortunately was not really that good. We ordered medium spice and the batter had a sugary sweet taste which was not good and overpowering kind of like when you dump way to much seasoning on something. The plain chicken was was good buts that because it had no seasoning. The pricing we thought was also high for what you get. We paid around $26.50 for two #3 meals and no drinks. Probably won't go back and if you take a family of 4 expect to pay around $50.00+ which is insane for fast food! After seeing this place on Instagram for years we saw a new location opened by kind of by us and had to try it out! For $13 and some change you can get 2 sandwiches and fries. We swapped fries for Mac n cheese and no additional charge which was nice. Mild and medium didn't taste much different to us but both were decently spicy. I'd probably stick to mild and my husband would up it to hot next time. Only complaint is the Mac n cheese could use a tad salt. we both love that they add extra pickles on the side if you want them- which we did!! Overall 8.5-9/10 on taste. We will be back for sure! Attended grand opening today and have to say the food experience was about average. Considering this is just chicken it's hard to judge against other dining places. Essentially it's just fast food fried chicken. It is good and moist so that's a plus. If they offered more sides and a good dessert like peach cobbler. They would have maybe got this review higher. First time eating here- im from KY and they actually open one there last year but haven't had chance to try. Saw a TikTok guy who was trying the slider and said was really good. So gave it a chance- my thoughts are, first they didnt get my order correct as I asked, but I didnt notice till got home.
