My wife and I went here this past weekend for a "date night." We go to a Brazilian steakhouse a lot…read moreand we wanted a change, a smaller, less formal atmosphere with hopefully some awesome food. We were NOT disappointed! This place is small, in a strip mall, and is not pretentious! More importantly, La Finca puts out some truly fantastic food. My wife and had chips and salsa, with some queso to start with while waiting on our food. The salsa was spot on...tasted homemade and not store bought (but I do not know if it was homemade). My wife ordered the quesabirria and I ordered two birria tacos and two carnitas tacos. Totally excellent and scrumptious!!! I was stuffed and was still tempted to order 20 more tacos!!! The quesabirria was incredible too...the right mix of cheese and meat and the corn shells!!!

Had my first bad experience here. Ordered the Quesabirra combo which is under the "Quesadilla"…read moresection of their menu. They then brought me the tacos. I asked what was up and the lady came over to explain I was incorrect and "Quesa" just means it has cheese on it and they actually did bring me the right order. She said if I spoke Spanish or if we were in Mexico it would make sense. I've probably ordered thousands of quesadillas for me and my kids in my years. Another lady came out and said let's just remake it but by then I was so completely proven wrong since I don't speak Spanish that I just kept the order. I didn't want to waste the food either. Pro Tip: If you want to order the quesadilla version you have to say "Barrira quesadillas" because ordering it under the quesadillas section will just get you tacos. "Barrira quesadillas" also wasn't listed on the menu but they make it. Maybe last couple times they asked what version I wanted... or it was on a specials board...idk. I suggested they move the combo under the taco section but I guess that wont make sense in Spanish since none of their taco have cheese but combo does?? This place is definitely a 5 star restaurant when the owner is there. This was the first time there when he wasnt.

Totally unimpressed by this place. I never see myself returning here for tacos, however they have a…read moremeat market in the store where you can buy fresh meats and bulk salsa, guac, chips etc that is pretty cool! I got the chicken tacos and 8oz side of rice and beans. Their menu read confusing, as they didn't have prices on the different meats, and tacos ranged from $2.99-$3.99 so I wasn't even sure how much my tacos would come to. I also thought it was 8oz combined of rice & beans for like $2.99 but I believe it rang up as individual 8oz containers. My total for the plate (3 tacos) & sides came to ~$16 without a tip or drink. The chicken tacos were SO bland. I tried adding more lime, the grilled onions, radishes, both the red and green salsas, and even rice and beans but nothing could rescue the flat flavor of nothingness every time I bit into my tacos. My red salsa that came with my plate was genuinely lame, it had hints of Tabasco sauce? Like they were trying to make it so spicy without any actual depth or flavor. I expected more from this place. I did try my friends steak from his taco and it was a bit more flavorful, so perhaps I got the wrong meat. Their employees were very nice and service wasn't too long, restaurant clean but limited seating! I would only return here to try the California burrito. I can find similar prices and great quality elsewhere.

Also it has a small meat, cheese section inside where you can buy marinated meats for your table. Ordered 3 different california burritos Al Pastor, Steak, Chicken. This restaurant offers a unique and tasty twist to your typical Mexican street style taco. I…read moreordered their Carne Asada (steak) taco which was well made and definately in line with an authentic Mexico Street taco but the star of my meal was the Mongolian Beef taco with its marinated sauce, scallions and cilantro that was over the top good and so different from any other taco's I have ever had. The chips, salsa and guacamole I ordered were good but not to the level of the Mongolian taco. Relative to the restaurant itself, it is kind of tucked away on the side of a small strip mall and not readily visible from the road. You need to be purposely looking for this restaurant to see it , which based on all the good reviews, a lot of people apparently do which means its business is being generated by word of mouth. Nice! Also of note, this is a counter order take out business model with no indoor seating and just two small tables on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant (4 total chairs). Something to keep in mind if you are looking for an indoor dining option. Overall, I believe the more traditional Mexican food options are good at this restaurant but it is the unique/fusion options that make this business stand out from other Mexican restaurants in the area. These unique food twists will be the primary driver of my return visit, which I will definately be doing, to sample some of their other fusion options that they offer. Definately a restaurant to seek out and sample if you are in the Milford area.

Staff are super friendly and helpful too. This visit, we ordered 2 grilled chicken tacos, one grilled chicken quesadilla, side of beans and esquite, chicken burrito verde, two chicken flautas, side of beans, large guacamole, taquitos Mexicanos and one chicken tostada. $75.46 The house salsa is good, it's better mixed with the house mild salsa. The guacamole doesn't look fresh at all. Looks like it was out of a tube or container. It looks like they added some tomatoes to it to doctor it up some, it doesn't taste fresh either. It's not so good. The taquitos and the flautas look exactly the same, both are good. Packed with shredded chicken. The chicken tacos aren't bad, chicken is a bit dry. The chicken tostada wasn't bad. Corn tortilla gets soft quickly, ate that after my flautas and taquitos. The chicken quesadillas are too bad.
