Howell, Mi June 15, 2025 Ordered online at 8:48pm I was sitting next door in the parking lot. Couldn't get a time to pick up order till 15 min later. So had pick up order time at 9:03. We ordered our dinner from this store this afternoon. We got it home and I'm unable to eat my six White Castles which are supposed to be PLAIN. Unfortunately, I cannot eat them because the workers there believe that PLAIN means only pickles. Six burgers with only pickles -- NOT PLAIN! Seriously, HOW DO YOU MESS UP A PLAIN BURGER? So, now, I'm waiting for the food I had to cook so I can have something to eat which ISN'T the White Castles I've been waiting ALL DAY to eat while the rest of my family is enjoying their dinner! Why? Because there were pickles on my PLAIN burgers. And, no, I cannot pick them off and eat them because the juice SEEPS into the bread and the meat. When I take a bite into *THAT*, I will puke! I find them *THAT* repulsive which is part of the reason why I order PLAIN (without pickles)! Since we're basically between the Genoa Twp and the Ypsi-Arbor locations, I'm thinking that we will start taking our business BACK TO Ypsi-Arbor since we go down that way just as much as we go to the Howell area. read more

Want to start off by saying that the food was good, nothing wrong there. Fresh and tasty and put together nicely. As far as the service go, I have some choice words that Yelp probably wouldn't like so I'll simply say it was "dog doo-doo." I'm not trying to be mean, I know it's probably not a fun job but lots of attitude from the employees taking orders. I have social anxiety and I was uncomfortable to order or even ask for a bag for my leftover food. Not trying to be a baby about it at all but it's really not that hard just to fake a smile and good attitude for less than ten minutes of your life. As far as ambiance goes, place almost didn't even look open waking up to it, floors were so sticky and I could tell it probably hasn't been mopped in at least a day or two. Soda machine had no ice and the drinks coming out were room temperature. Also enjoyed the slider boxes they stuffed under the leg of a table to make it even. Didn't have enough courage to see how bad the bathrooms were but I'm certain I've probably seen cleaner port-o-potties. Overall, 10/10 location, definitely coming back...obviously not, I'd drive further away for a different location. 1 star rating has nothing to do with the food, just everything else. If anyone from this location is reading this, you probably don't care but just try a little harder or do something else lol. read more

White Castle is one of my happy places; it's pure Americana. It's no frills and always consistent. I'm not trying to suggest that it's an amazing burger and fry combo but it is fast comfort food that's pretty much always the same, as is the wait once you order. No matter which White Castle I go to I can always plan on it being a minute before my food is ready but once I see that sack coming my way, it always makes me smile. The fries are always in between slightly soggy and perfectly fried (it's a roll of the dice every time) but the double cheeseburgers are always precision. I love that they always have some kind of limited menu item that sounds fantastic (currently...cheese rings. I don't know how they make cheese into a fried ring, but, yes please!). This location was clean and the food was as good as the Castle puts out. I only wish there was one closer to home. read more

absolutely the filthiest restaurant I have been in... today watched 5 people gathered in the back, doing nothing, people waiting in the lobby to order, and NO ONE wiping tables, sweeping or cleaning up. this place is nasty!!!!!!! read more

Nice clean restaurant. Hubby had a gift card to use. Hadn't been to a White Castle in over 10 years. Crazy that it was cheaper to order the craze box then 2 individual meals. Felt so wasteful when we didn't finish even half. read more

Consistently hot and delicious burgers and the crispy breaded fish sandwich is incredibly tasty. Service was fast & friendly, of course - it's White Castle. The Howell, MI location has Barq's Red Creme Soda. Can't get that anywhere else that I know of in Michigan. It hard to beat the price. Great value. read more

Ordered sliders today for the family we live about 45 minutes away from the store. In the notes I asked for ketchup and mustard. When we got home we realized there were no sliders with ketchup and mustard this is the second time this has happened. Either they don't serve ketchup and mustard anymore or they have lazy workers that are inconsiderate. Unfortunately I won't say this is the last time I will visit because there's no other White Castle in the area. But next time I will definitely be checking my order. read more

Best White Castle location in Michigan. Fast service in the drive-thru, food is consistently good and tastes like it did in the 'good ole days', closest location to West MI and right off I-96. It's a must-stop on my trips to and from the east side of the state. read more

This is the closest location to us and it's not really that close, but it's the home of the original slider so totally worth the drive! This location is clean and neat with friendly staff. You can grab your food in the drive thru or sit inside- plenty of space! read more

The food is similar to every other White Castle you'll go to, but the restaurant itself is what sets it apart from the others. This White Castle is clean, the staff is pleasant, complicated orders come out right, and there's even a fireplace in the dining area. Definitely the nicest White Castle I've ever been in. read more
