Super cute little health market. A lot of things are very reasonably priced. I found a sparkling beverage that's been soothing my morning sickness so I came back for more and they were having a buy 1 get 1 deal. So excited! They also have food in a salad bar and to order and a huge wine selection. read more

So fun. Great vibe to the store. Wonderful ambiance. Lots of fun specialty ingredients. The salad bar is really fresh and has lots of kale salad options which I love I paid like $7 for a slice of apple spice cake which looked so good but tasted ultra processed. Did not like at all. I would skip the baked goods unless you are fine with gluten free dairy free options. But the food is delicious, and the wine selection looks good too. People are friendly. read more

You get what you pay for. At this market I think you get quality items and ingredients as a result you pay a premium. The bakery items are out of this world. Many healthy drink and snack options. I have really enjoyed the prepared foods. The service is always fast, helpful and friendly. The store is well laid out and full of unique items. I am looking forward to trying some of their hot and freshly made items. read more

This place is such a great health foods store! I love the fresh, clean ingredients, the creativity (like the cashew cup bone broth). There is a salad bar, soup bar and small, but yummy variety of fresh produce and most organic dry foods. They also have hot sandwiches, baked goods, limited meat case and coolers with probiotic drinks, shots and vegan treats. They also have zingermans bread. 4 stars since it's *very* pricey. I appreciate how it's local and mostly organic / healthy. I can walk in confident that almost all will be a good choice. I recommend the cold tuna pasta salad! There are also some great little pretzel / peanut butter / chocolate things that are delish but packs a price tag at $12. The workers are kind and they have a loyalty program and fresh coffee by the checkout. read more

We have been long time customers of Simply Fresh and enjoy their wines, prepared foods (sandwiches and soups) and produce. However, I stopped in today for one of their delicious sandwiches and it was an epic fail. I ordered the sandwich from Amy at the register and then waited for 25-30 minutes while orders kept getting walked up to the front, placed on the shelf or given to multiple Doordash drivers. I asked Amy for the status of my sandwich several times but she seemed uninterested and never even walked back to the kitchen to check on its status. Troubleshooting and customer skills are not part of her repertoire. THERE NEEDS TO BE MORE COMMUNICATION BETWEEN THE FOOD PREP PEOPLE AND THE STAFF MANNING THE REGISTERS who are also the people eventually delivering your sandwich. Also, if the kitchen is backed up, the register staff should be aware of that and should be queuing the customer for that or at least asking if they have time to wait. All told between drive time to and from Simply Fresh along with hanging out in the store waiting for a sandwich that never materialized, I lost an entire hour out of a busy day. I was refunded my money and was given a perfunctory, luke warm apology but ironically left with an empty stomach and a bad taste in my mouth. Simply Fresh, for a premium market, you need to up your customer service and coordination between different staff units; i.e., the registers and the kitchen. Please train your staff to get motivated to resolve issues when they arise as opposed to the hands off, careless response I encountered today. At the read more

There is nothing special about this market other than absurdly high prices. Every time I HAD to shop there, I was amazed at the absurdity of their prices. We only go there when it is an absolute necessity, due to time, because it is very close by. Last time was for a couple of items, which included a $9.00 cabbage! Can you believe that? $9.00 for a head of cabbage. Organic? Hard to say, but it was wrapped very tightly with a heavy duty plastic wrap. Nothing special about it, other than all off the brighter green outter leaves were removed. $3.00 per pound for russet potatoes? $3.99 for 10Lbs at Costco and they look like the same potatoes! $4.00 for 1 avocado! Not seen anything there that justified the prices charged. read more

Great spot for lunch full salad bar, wine selection, produce and they even have pre made dinners to take home favorite grocery store hands down read more

See all

I love this place. They have great deals on produce during mid of the week and they make great vegan carrot cake cupcakes made with just coconut cream and no rancid oils like canola, if you're looking for a nice treat. This is the only place that has fresh figs around here. The cold-pressed orange juice is the best thing ever. When i'm in Brighton going through the days itinerary, getting some real OJ is the best. They also have Zingermans baked goods, some organic bread loaves like sourdough, which is great especially if you don't want to drive all the way to AA for it. They also have raw cheeses available from a local michigan farm. read more

It certainly costs more than your average costs for most things here. Makes sense, the things you get from here are tasty and dope. Very farm. Go for the sandwiches, especially go for the Cubano, they're fire. read more

The cutest little shop in brighton! The food is so delicious and they have a great selection of gluten free food. The employees are super kind as well. read more

I've been here multiple times and each time they have lived up to their name! I came here most recently because I was looking to buy some fresh ingredients for an important meal I was making at home. Shane was a HUGE help! Super nice and informative - I ended up picking up some awesome scallops that were a huge hit! Ask for him if you need help with anything at all! He also showed me some samples of their home made soup and their award winning chili! Definitely recommend this place when you want to make sure you're getting the best ingredients and food around! read more

Cute place but overpriced and not enough gluten free breads and choices. $17 for a small Greek salad, wow! They used to carry no more belly aching which is local gluten free bakery, but don't anymore, bummer! I can find same stuff at other stores for half the price. Soup and food bar are nice, just need a few more gluten free options. read more

So glad the Chicken Bone Broth is back! It' s the BEST!

Love this place. The owner's philosophy is to favor local items and they hire knowledgeable people who are friendly. We love their prepared foods and specifically the kale caesar salad and the pot pie. It's not a place you can do all your food shopping but you can get pretty close. Produce section is well-stocked with organics, the bread is mostly from Zingerman's, and this year they expanded their meat section to include more choices. I've tried their cafe offerings a couple of times and have liked this option as well. read more

Staff was not wearing masks so we left. When I called to ask about their mask policy, they said they did not have one.

Honest to God, this is the only place I buy my produce from. I had a small mix up with some peaches and they were more than happy to explain to me what happened and why (without making me feel like an idiot). Much appreciated service and even better products. read more

We eat Simply Freshs ready foods (TV dinners) all the time. This is a from scratch kitchen and a grocer. They do an exceptional job in providing interesting, quality food options! To me it is better then eating out because the food quality is better. We love it here! The owners have been in the grocery business for years, they are fantastic and they have a helpful, pleasant and knowledgeable staff. What a great, fresh addition to this area! read more

Everything is delicious and so fresh! Best Morel Mushroom Stew I have ever had!

Love love the Chili & several other soups!! Every time I stop in here there are so many great looking seasonal hot & cold lunch & dinner selections it's hard not to try them & everything has been very good! Many prepared dinners to grab & go too. Give them a try I'm sure you'll be back read more

I was there at noon for my favorite mushroom soup . Instead of a salad I opted for the JB's chicken salad sandwich! $9.99 so hoping it would be worth the money. Very disappointed. Hard to bite through and chicken dry and tasteless. Sandwich dry and no moisture. Come on SF get .Staff looked miserable as well. I frequent you often so boom boom shake the room and get your mojo back on . read more

Have been going to this store for quite a while but I just now noticed that most of their non-produce items (pasta, honey, cheese, etc.) is Michigan made. Produce and veggies are always delicious, and local when in season. read more

Called to see hours they were open and was told 9am. At 9:20 the front door was locked . I knocked several times loud enough to hear and the young dark haired gentleman behind the counter looked at me and kept on doing what he was doing! Found an open door on the side, mentioned to the guy the front door was locked and he just looked at me, grunted and kept on doing.. seriously?? I dont care how pretty your produce is bye bye.. i put my selection down and walked out. They have a great organic selection at Meijer! read more

As the name implies, FRESH! good assortment of veggies and fruits to help the chef in all of us keep on top of our menu prep.

I LOVE Simply Fresh Market! The fruits and veggies are guaranteed to be as local and "real" organic. Thank you Tony for the vision and the commitment to healthy and fresh. read more

I love this place. Just stopped in again for a quick lunch. Local, organic, fresh, gourmet market and restaurant. I had the Kale salads two different ways and the award winning chili, the best I have ever had in my life. I need to come here more often. So should you. Simply Fresh is one of my favorite markets for fresh healthy food. I'm a daily customer for their soup and salad bar. I had a great experience at their wine tasting last night. Shelly is so knowledgeable. We learned a lot about the benefits of going organic with our wines, something I've been searching for and not easy to find in the Brighton area. She also had wonderful wine recommendations for our holiday dinners. The real surprise came after tasting some really nice organic wines that they cost under $20.00!! read more

I love simply fresh. They have amazing pre-made salads and a great selection of fresh healthy food. The staff is helpful and welcoming.

I have been going to this place for about a year. It has great local organic produce when it is season. Sometimes they get their produce from other sources. They also have meats, cheeses and baked goods. It's a really great place for quality foods. Like a mini whole foods, because Brighton doesn't have one! read more

Excellent produce and extremely helpful staff. As other reviews have stated, the prices are higher than the big box stores but the quality is 10 times better. You get what you pay for and this place has the best. The produce stays fresh longer at home because it is fresh when you take it home unlike the big box stores when you must use it the next morning or it begins to get moldy. Also has many Michigan made products. Love to support locally based business. Seems to also support local food banks and pantries. Part of the community. Will definitely continue to shop here. A++++++++++. read more

Simply Fresh Market is my favorite place! Always have the freshest assortment of fruits and veggies! Friendly and helpful staff-just ask for recipe ideas for new things you've never tried. Lots of local and organic foods also, inquire about food clubs or gift baskets! read more

Love this store. I always buy my eggs, milk and cream there. Produce is great and reasonably priced.

Very nice - I stopped in while driving through the area a while back. Actually, I was there before the store opened and welcomed me in with no problem or hesitation. The people working there were friendly and very helpful in selecting a few foods. There were some beverages in the cooler that I did not know the benefits of were explained. I liked that she told me about the downside of the beverage too (a little bitter tasting). I'll stop by there again. read more

Super impressed...had lunch with my kids to go and check the place out....it was fantastic. Had salads from their salad bar...all were excellent. We also tried the award-winning chili, again, it was delicious. Fruits, veggies, prepared meals, meats, desserts and specialty items abound! Both of my girls asked when we would be going back. read more

Lots of fresh looking produce and variety. Over-priced. Spent $21 on 3 items. Items were tasty and of good quality, but still over-priced. $4 for a lb. of organic apples. Normally, I can find organic apples for almost 1/2 the price. Store was ridiculously cold - owner said it was at 70 degrees to keep the produce from wilting. I was shivering cold - wished I had worn my long Johns. read more

Very high prices. I was disappointed to find the next morning that my strawberries were over ripe and one was moldy. Save your money and buy organic produce at Meijer or Kroger instead. read more

Love the fact that there's a produce-only venue in Brighton! Simply Fresh Market features many local MI products: Milford Spice Co., Carlson-Arbogast Farm beans, peas and lentils, Michigan honey, Al Dente pasta, Kenzoil, and other MI specialty products. It's the only market outside of A2 that carries organic yams, YUMMY! Its small size and location of make it extremely convenient. They offer an organic produce club, you can dodge in and pick up your pre-bagged goodies in a jiffy. I think they are doing a great job. They've starting carrying organic swiss chard, apples, oranges, bananas, carrots, celery and romaine, but I wish they had a few more items. It be nice to have organics available for all the dirty dozen fruits and veggies so I didn't have to travel to A2. They offer some great deals from local farmers in the summer: bushels of apples, tomatoes, and unique squash varieties. It's strongly recommended! read more
