So happy to revisit the revived Clear River Tavern. This place has the feel of a Cheers type bar where everyone knows your name except 60% are likely leaf peepers or ski bums who happened to stumble in. It's located against the stunning backdrop of Vermont's gorgeous Green Mountains, so we were happy to sit outside as the sun was just starting to set. It's nice to see that they have an outdoor mini stage for local acts, a cornhole game set up and an 18 course disc golf course. How fun to play and then dine afterwards or during! And everyone I know is happy to see that the pool tables are back in the bar area inside the restaurant. I had a glass of Kendall Jackson Chardonnay for only $8-and it was a nice sized pour. My husband had a seasonal ale. We had the fried pickles to start and we were happy to see that they were in coins, not spears. Coins are so much better for dipping. The coating was nice and light-not heavy at all. I had a taco salad and added grilled chicken while my husband had a classic French Dip. Both were very good! We also had a delicious pumpkin creme brûlée for dessert that was delicious. Our server was very attentive and pleasant. Good quality standard food without pretentiousness! We will definitely be back!

I was really surprised by how good the food is! I love the dinner roll. I was impressed that the restaurant made their own bread and their maple butter is so good! We also had the special home made s'mores ice cream, amazing. They have tons local draft beer. They have two pool table and many TVs you can watch sports at. It's a local bar and everyone is very nice great environment. The owner Mark is super nice. Highly recommend, no place better in this town then to spend a night grab some food and drink.

I tried my brothers steak and we both agreed it was the most unique tasting steak we'd ever had in a bad way. My mom ordered a dish that came with rice and it seemed as if it was a type of quick/instant rice and her meal wasn't enjoyable. She said the quality went downhill from previous years. I ordered the duck, and I could hardly cut it, it wasn't tender, it was extremely chewy and the flavor was almost tasteless and what I could taste wasn't good. The sides were better than the duck sadly. My little brothers got burgers and fries and I will say the fries easily best the rest of the food with their salt and skins still on. The prices are steep and are comparable to other "fancy" middle tier restaurants, another side note all of our dishes for 6 people came out within 10 minutes which says something. I wish our experience was different.

He didn't tell us the specials but that was fine cause we came back next day for them. Was visiting from for just 2 nights and went here. Not a lot of options in this area. It has a Grateful Dead theme going on so of course I loved it. Special was seafood bisque, which was made with shrimp and lobster. Taste was phenomenal though only tasted chunks of shrimp which was fine. I would get it again and my friend took home a bowl for next day. Highly recommend. I heard their soups are often great. We opted to split the half rack of ribs, they were quite good. Little fat, good taste, I recommend this and would get again if I was again in the mood. Tea was served in a carafe I'd not seen since the 70's which I liked. Day before we got BLT to split and that was great. Fries are skinny, hot and not greasy. Good vibes all around.

NAG is located in the shopping plaza at Routes 11 and 100. The decor is nice, simple and comfortable. The menu is diverse with various ethnic dishes along with the kind of dishes you would expect from an American Grill. My friend ordered the Seoul Food and I ordered a Scallop special. When the food came out both dishes were very nice, however after my first taste of the scallop special I realized that the dish was topped with bacon, which had not been mentioned in the description by the server. The server was very nice about the issue and offered to have the dish remade without the bacon, but I opted instead to get the Pesto Shrimp Alfredo pasta; the kitchen managed to get the new dish out promptly. While the shrimp in the dish were good, I found the sauce to be a bit one note and overly heavy; it really seemed to lack the herbal taste I expected from a pesto dish. While not a bad dish I would not order this again. My friend did enjoy the bulgogi flavored chicken. It seemed most of the guests were enjoying their meal, unfortunately I just seemed to have some bad luck with my meal selections. Hard for me to make a strong recommendation for The New American Grill, but of course your experience may vary.

Having visited Silver Fork in Manchester on a number of occasions over the years, I finally…read morerealized I've never written a review. Well, now is the time. We re-visited the restaurant recently for our 40th wedding anniversary, and I think it's only fitting to offer a view on what is best described as a bastion of excellence and gracious dining in Manchester village, Vermont. Situated in a refurbished former library building, the Silver Fork's setting, decor, and dining experience is indeed textbook flawless. Inside the upscale eatery evokes mid-century Moderne, a setting for the once popular Madmen TV period drama series; tony, chic, but hardly ostentatious and overbearing. On the contrary the high ceilings, lighting and space combine to offer that frozen glimpse of earlier elegance but alongside very contemporary culinary offerings. Table spacing accentuates a good use of space. We started with a "Rubies are Forever" Pomegranate cocktail with Pomegranate boba. The menu is large but not overbearing; a good mix of meats, legumes and fish. Equally the starters are enticing. French Onion soup is amazing but on this occasion we both chose the Duck egg roll with a special peanut sauce. Simply extraordinary and with generous duck portions. For an entree, my wife chose Mahi Mahi Fish, beautifully prepared over plantain. Despite being tempted by a brisket with horseradish sauce, the evening special, I chose the Ratatouille. Why? Prepared properly, this is often hard to find. The Chef's presentation of the southern French staple, was beautifully interpreted, accompanied with some goat cheese. We accompanied our meal with a glasses of red wine. For desert we shared the incomparable Caribbean Bread Pudding which is always a hit here. Allow to me to say our server Lynn showed a genuine experience both in the menu and wine list along with a pleasant disposition. We equally had the opportunity to chat with Melody the co-owner who, along with her husband Chef Mark, described their culinary Odyssey before coming to Vermont years ago to establish Silver Fork. Silver Fork presents a genuine chef-prepared culinary experience both in terms of cuisine as well as ambiance and flawless service. We'll be back!
