Great service. Friendly, accommodating and prompt staff. Amazing food from the roasted cauliflower to the flatbread pizzas. A MUST if you are in town for the night or a local. read more

Food was pretty good, lots of NA drink options, service was extremely friendly. May be a bit pricey (but what isn't these days) but the portions were fairly generous. Love the build your own charcuterie and the beet salad was nicely done. read more

My husband and I love this place. Pete always has a great wine to recommend, and the food is delicious as well. We always run into local people we know and have an enjoyable time. It is a great date night outing. read more

We (three adults) went to Brix on a whim after the Vermont State Fair. We did a quick Google search of restaurants in the area and the menu looked good. We left so glad that we picked it! The restaurant is small with a limited number of high tops inside, a bar, and a few tables outside. The decorations and vibes are adorable. We were impressed from start to finish. Peter, our waiter, was friendly and chatty (without being too chatty), which we really appreciated, and he definitely nailed small-town Vermont charm. One of us ordered the Salty Chihuahua drink. It was tasty and very well priced. One of us started with a small green salad which was loaded with olives and feta- yum!! There was not a single bite of food that wasn't delicious. It blew us away. We ordered three entrees: chicken sliders, grande salad, and a special: the summer squash skillet, which we added meatballs to. We will be talking about and figuring out what was in those meatballs for years to come. The dishes were on the smaller side, but the prices reflect the amazing quality of the food. We are three New Yorkers with lots of opinions and high standards when it comes to what we eat. Brix exceeded those standards. We have a ski condo on Stratton and don't often make the drive into Rutland, but any time we do, it's guaranteed we will be eating at Brix. read more

Classy and stylish atmosphere and the food and service is superb. Minor quibble: they need cloth napkins and better flatware. The place is a gem. read more

Went on Wednesday night. Had the nightly special which was an excellent Chicken Florentine pasta dish and wife had the veggie flat bread which was really good! Her cab wine was good as was my pilsner. Steve, the owner was very friendly and helpful with hikes and places to go even though we are out of towners. Highly recommend! read more

Everything is so great we are obsessed with the baked brie!! Always a go to for ladies night, great selection of wine as well

Love the ambiance of the little street side wine bar! Would have added that last star, but the prices are a little high for a small city wine bar. read more

GREAT WHEN TRAVELING! Visited Brix Wine Bar while traveling and if you travel for work and need a place to eat, you just never know what to expect. Brix did three things for me: 1. Made me feel at home. 2. Provided Great service. 3. Provided really great food and drinks. If you are traveling through Rutland, Vermont, this will not disappoint! on top of that, paying the bill was simple with their quick scan technology and the bill went right to your email for easy expense processing. Matts's food is fantastic. Peter knows his wine and can make a damn good cocktail. And Big John keeps the place clean and looking good.

I would give zero star if I could. People here were nice and I could feel a good vibe here, but the food I ordered here was terrible. We ordered steak and scallop, but the steak stinks and scallop also had a weird taste that indicated it was not fresh. The good thing was our waiter took away the steak from our meal, but I regretted I have finished the scallop. After all, I would not recommend this place, at least, not for the main dish here. read more

One of the only so few places open in Rutland on Sunday and during Covid. The bistro is located across from Walmart and the farmers market. Mask required, we sat outside to be served for lunch. Our friendly waiter provided us with great beer and a we selected a bowl of veggies and quinoa, brown rice and beans It sounds so blend but it was very well spiced, and tasted wonderful. The lack of the 5th star is due to breathing windex a few times while eating when the server cleaned tables outside. We suggested he sprayed the liquid into a cloth to avoid having the wind blows the désinfectant in our face and food...but that clearly didn't work. Nevertheless the food and overall service was great. read more

Have been there a couple of times just for a glass of wine. Attentive and kind servide

I came here with my buddy Lionel and we had a great time. The service is spectacular and Peter is a true gem. He's extremely patient mad kind. We had the salmon and veggie meatballs were delicious and some cheesecake to boot. I enjoyed the cbd water and tried two of the cabs. There were reasonably priced and were of high quality. I'll definitely be back for the next Spartan Race. Aroo! read more

Been visiting Brix consistently for nearly a year. This place is wonderful. They are exceedingly friendly, the wine list is off the charts, well selected beers, very delicious and consistent menu. If you are in the area make sure to stop in, you will be rewarded! read more

This place is fantastic! All of the food is delicious and the wine is amazing. The owner is very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about all of the wine so it makes you feel very excited about it all. If you like tapas or wine, this place is a must! read more

A belated review, but wow is this place amazing. Came here on an early August Tuesday. Had a delicious salad, which prompted me to order a pasta/sausage entreè, which was awesome! Could not like this place more. Next time I'm in Rutland, I'm coming here for sure! Oh the drink selections were amazing too! read more

Attended a wedding celebration this weekend held here! It was great! Good drinks, ambiance and food!

Friendly and welcoming people. Excellent food. Try the cheese and veggie sliders. Ask for wine pairings. You won't be disappointed.

What cool little gem right in downtown Rutland. Tapas, wine, craft beers, cocktails in a neat space. Everything was delicious. Can't wait to go back. read more

My husband and I had dinner here last night. We had one of the most memorable experience. It was a relax atmosphere with a very interesting wine list. For those who like to explore the world of wine, this is a place that worth a visit. We ordered a total of six different glasses and enjoyed each thoroughly. The help from the knowledgeable waiter/owner who recommended the pairing of the wine and food we ordered also made a difference to our experience. This is a gem in Rutland Vermont. We certainly would visit if we're around the area again. read more

Sometimes when you most need it you find a little wine bar that has a great atmosphere, an amazing selection of super reasonably priced and great wines, and a simple (not simplistic by any means) menu of locally sourced treats. Oh!! And great clientele. Not to mention Peter-bar host, waiter & I assume owner. This is like stepping across the street in Rutland & finding yourself in Montreal. read more

Really fantastic food, great service and friendly people. Highly recommend this place!

Great atmosphere, fantastic service, and wonderful food/drinks. The staff is personable and passionate.

Brix Wine Bar in an absolute gem in the Rutland downtown. My wife and I have frequented Brix since moving to Rutland at the beginning of the summer. As mentioned in previous reviews, the interior is cozy and aesthetically pleasing. Exposed brick walls extend to high ceilings, several high top tables make up a formal seating area of sorts, and a wine lovers themed bar top provides a casual place to have a drink. For sports fans, a single TV is usually playing in the background offering a very relaxed setting for taking in a game. During fair weather, Brix offers ample outdoor seating, always a treat especially since this can be hard to find in Rutland. Brix is so much more than a wine bar. That being said, they do wine very well. Their offerings are plenty and very diverse. With a variety of price points and fantastic weekly specials you can find a wine for everyone. The owner is attentive, friendly, extremely helpful and very knowledgeable about his menu offerings. We enjoy exploring new varietals and regions based off the recommendations of someone who knows more than us. If wine isn't your prefered beverage of choice don't fret. Brix has a variety of excellent beers both on tap and in bottles with weeknight specials providing some of the area's best offerings at very friendly price points. The same can be said for signature and typical cocktails. If you're a whiskey lover check their Facebook for their weekly discounted whiskey night. It's important to highlight the food offerings available at Brix, especially the homemade desserts. We'll get there. Brix offers a full menu included hearty salads, smaller side plates, artisanal flatbreads, sliders, vegetarian options, and pork belly (amongst others). In my experience the food had been prepared with immense care and is always very tasty. Bistro quality that rivals many other Rutland locations. The dessert offerings are, in my opinion, the distinguishing characteristic that propels Brix towards the top of my local list. Each week Brix releases their homemade dessert menu with photos on Facebook. Seasonal cheesecakes, pies, cobblers, sorberts, layer cakes, flourless cakes, and ice cream cakes have graced this list and made their way onto my plate over the last several months. I could individually breakdown why each was amazing but just trust me, you'll want to try at least one. Brix is casual, tasteful, and delicious. Whether you're looking for a quick stop before a show at the Paramount, a date night out or relaxing evening with friends, consider Brix as one of the best options in the area. read more

So glad we found you on New Year's Eve. The best meal we had in the area. The owner super nice and packed all our food in foil containers to keep things warm. Food was delicious. Beer too! read more

What a nice cozy place! Great for meeting up with friend's for a nice glass of wine and some appetizers. The bartender was super helpful with wine selection (i'm not very wine savvy) and the food was incredible! Great time! read more

Had a very nice time going to this place after dinner at Kelvins next door. It's nice to see actual "stuff" in the downtown area we can go to in date nights. Would be nice to see more venues like Brix on that main drag instead of closed up store fronts. Decent drink selection. Met the manager. Very nice guy. Good music in background. Not to loud not to snobby. read more

The food was very delicious and I'm glad I listen to the 5 star review. The chicken and steak were superior and cheese cake was very good as well. read more

Fantastic little piece of a big city, in rutland - if you will. The interior makes you feel like you're in NYC or Boston. Small, cozy and very inviting. The wine selection is impressive, about 100 different kinds of wine to choose from. It's nice that they offer each wine by the glass so you can always try something new! The cocktail list is always changing with the seasons and regularly features local ingredients and spirits. If you're into craft beer, they have the best variety In the area. They also offer a small food menu with some of the best imported/local meats and cheeses you can get your hands on. I highly recommend trying everything, especially the dried fig salami. The staff is always on their A Game and are very knowledgeable about wines. Adam does a fantastic job, making sure you're always taken care of. read more

Great bar with amazing staff! Went with a group this weekend and had a lovely time. They have an excellent beer and wine selection with great prices and delicious food. The pickle plate and the baked brie were so good, we loved everything we ordered. The staff was super nice, friendly, and attentive. They even opened a little early to accommodate us - they couldn't have been nicer. read more

Dropped in here on a trip and so glad I did. One of if not the best options in Rutland for drink and food. Beautiful inside, great staff. Recommend the flatbread and the desserts are amazing (I went midweek). Don't be swayed by their website being down, this place is definitely open and definitely worth your time. read more

Everything about Brix is great! Friendly staff and great small plate food options. If only the outdoor seating area didn't look out onto the wal-mart plaza, takes away from the otherwise great ambience. read more
