Sometimes they have a food vendor come in or in the summer, they have the open area across from the brewery to enjoy for outdoor enjoyment (aka beer garden) where you can also bring your dog. From a beer perspective, we love trying all their beers which are fairly low in abv and very drinkable. They don't do flights but do half pours. Favorites are the American kestrel , any of the ipas really are great. They have a good variety of beers in cans to go as well. Kid / family friendly brewery. The beer taps must have too much pressure or something, because for every draft beer, the bartender/waitresses were pouring out at least another beer with each pour. What a waste! The food was OK, but it sat next to the bar for at least 10 minutes before someone brought it to us. On a Friday night, you'd think they'd be a bit more in tune with the paying customers.

Server's initial response was "waiting on the bar", tho they were apologetic after it took another long time. And this year was THE YEAR to hit up Vermont for skiing b/c they got more snow than they've gotten in almost a decade--so the skiing was the best east coast skiing I've experienced ever! We weren't staying there as motel guests, but we heard that Main Mount was the place for fancy cocktails... and whoever told us this information was spot on!! Every cocktail we tried at Main was unique and super tasty. My favorite was the Good 'Ol Boy cocktail, but I also recommend the New England Sour--it's like a Whiskey Sour but with Mulled Wine and Cocoa on top. As for atmosphere and service, both are great! The interior decor is more like a cozy (but slightly modern) mountain house library (an atmosphere you might expect in a hip Brooklyn bar), and it's very inviting! And the bartender and servers are amazing and really friendly. As for food, we didn't try any on the first visit, but we ended up going back to Main Mountain on our last night of the trip b/c we found out that, on Sundays, they host a burger night! The venue itself was very nice, open and airy, the food was great and from what I can tell standard menu items, set up to be catered. The beer, cold and delicious and staff friendly. One cool thing that I learned is their gratuity system is set up to help local non profits and charities, with a new charity receiving all (possibly a portion) of the tips. A very thoughtful way to help the local communities!

We will be talking about and figuring out what was in those meatballs for years to come. The dishes were on the smaller side, but the prices reflect the amazing quality of the food. We are three New Yorkers with lots of opinions and high standards when it comes to what we eat. Brix exceeded those standards. We have a ski condo on Stratton and don't often make the drive into Rutland, but any time we do, it's guaranteed we will be eating at Brix.
