Let me start by saying Mystico 802 should be awarded a Michelin Star. It was my wife and I first experience at this restaurant. I saw the reviews were excellent but I'm a food snob so I would have e to decide after the experience. I don't want to debrief you about each course but everything from the service, the cocktails (Get their house special) apps, main and yes, we even had two deserts, something we seldom do. Since Chantecleer has closed this will be our number one choice in the greater Manchester area. Bravo to the Mystico Chef Tim and staff

Great bartender and drinks! Higher end drinks are fantastic and so was the bartender Louis! The homemade pasta was also outstanding!

Cozy Italian farmhouse vibe with elevated cocktails and cuisine. Atmosphere was relaxed but classy with great windows for natural light and great lighting once it's needed. Tips** If you like to research the menu on yelp by looking at pictures, you need to do so before hand because even though I had two bars, I could not access any websites whatsoever. Also maybe bring a cushion because you'll need one if you're seated in one of the hardwood chairs since it might take awhile on a packed night. Ray and Caroline tag teamed on service and were delightful but busy so an hour into our reservation we were still working on appetizers. But let me back up and tell you about the fun cocktails. We got Ghost Story and Autumnal Glow. Both tasty and different. Ghost Story is their signature drink and the smoked rosemary really makes it unique from most bourbon drinks. Autumnal glow was fruit forward but not too sweet so weirdly refreshing and fall like at the same time. Highly recommend their butternut squash soup special and the focaccia bread with whipped ricotta. Best focaccia I've ever had. The tasting of all crudos what also delicious and unique EXCEPT for the bay scallops. They had a fishy aftertaste so maybe just stick with the yellowfin tuna and the fluke. They are known for their pastas so we ordered the spaghetti alla chitara and were not disappointed. The olive oil poached Halibut was incredibly delicate and tasty and great for a healthy protein. Between the two though I would say the spaghetti was authentic and pleasantly chewy making it a dish that's hard to get anywhere else. Finally, we were full but wanted to taste the hazelnut tiramisu. The topping of chocolate and nuts on the cream were delicious but as a whole the actual tiramisu was not my favorite. The syrup on the ladyfingers was not quite right so I'd go for the gelato or the panna cotta next time.

Wow. Wow. Wow. The food in this place is so unique and yummy. Bring an extra stomach because your eyes will order more than you can eat. The fried artichoke, the foie gras or caponata for appetizers was a difficult choice. So I ordered all 3 and nothing was left. That is how good all 3 were. This meant I couldn't finish my delicious 16oz NY strip but I sure did eat plenty of the fried gnocchi that it came with. This is the place to eat if you come to Manchester. Thank me later

Corsetti made with squid ink and octopus. I've actually never seen a Corsetti it's a stamped pasta from Liguria Italy.

When you've just had the most epic dinner ever, why on earth wouldn't you want to come back for lunch the next day? We chowed down on an insane Porchetta with salsa verde on homemade focaccia bread and a ridiculously good salad. And, oh man, their homemade gelato? We demolished it in record time - I couldn't even snap a pic!

Had dinner at Mystico and everything was incredible + the staff were kind and had great recs. Since it's tomato season, we started off with the panzanella salad which was so fresh! Then we had the sea scallops, artichoke ravioli, and lamb ragu - all delicious. The pastas especially were some of the best we've ever had. Be sure to order a dirty martini with local blue cheese stuffed olives!!

Really beautiful, packed location. Our server was super friendly and checked on us frequently. -got the practical magic and ghost story for drinks: both beautiful presentations. The practical magic was almost grape flavored (vs pear) but I loved it and would totally get again. The ghost story was very strong yet tasty, just a warning for those driving. -We ordered the foie gras and the homemade focaccia with whipped ricotta for appetizers. We were disappointed with the foie gras- we had it in Boston and loved it but it was served cold and tasted rubbery here; I would have preferred it warm. The focaccia was crispy, warm, and perfect with the whipped ricotta. -The entrees stole the show: the Bucatini Alla Amatriciana was packed with flavorful pork and tomato sauce.. I was so full yet felt the need to finish it. My boyfriend loved his rigatoni alla carbonara. A bit too peppery of an aftertaste for me but he loved it. We could come back to have these pastas again they were incredible.

WOW - this is a total gem in Manchester, VT, for sure! Great menu, high-quality ingredients for the dishes, and the handmade bread and pasta highlight the care and attention paid by the chef to their dishes. Server was extremely knowledgeable about the menu, and made great recommendations. Has a wine- or cigar-bar atmosphere, and very relaxed feel.

It is a beautiful restaurant, modern with country flair. Service staff are very friendly. We made a reservation at the door as it was fully booked the night before. The front desk staff told us that they'd need credit card to secure the reservation and we could cancel if we could not make the reservation. The drinks and food are incredibly delicious! Each dish tastes uniquely sophisticated, Italian tradition with a twist of cosmopolitan modernity! We really enjoyed all and will definitely return next time!

For breakfast we enjoyed a bagel with lox, the breakfast sandwich and the eggs Benedict which we would order all again (in fact we did haha). For dinner we had a few wings and salad one evening and a more formal dinner for Valentine's Day. We had the lobster ravioli and the Braised Short Ribs which were absolutely fantastic. What made the experience that much better was our waitress Kate. We requested to have her a second night because of how fun, helpful and accommodating she was to us. On Valentine's Day a few things that could have put a damper on our evening were handled very professionally and we really appreciated it. However, we made it to their restaurant and it did not disappoint! The Copper Grouse had a very enticing menu so I was excited for this dinner. For dinner, I ordered the Garganelli pasta dish. It was light and creamy. And ended the meal with one of their dessert specials that had white chocolate raspberry ice cream with strawberries - it was delightful. The restaurant itself was pretty cozy. Lots of high top and standard table seating along with a bar. They offered outdoor seating on the porch as well. There was also a fire pit set up outside with plenty of Adirondack chairs - I saw people drinking by the fire but I'm not sure if food is served in that area. Our server, Molly, was awesome!! Next time we are in Manchester, I plan to stay here - it's close enough to walk to town and the hotel / restaurant are highly recommended!

Mainly attributable to SERVICE which was HORRIFYING!! Ambiance was charming home setting outdoors and rustic wood vibe indoors. The food was average/iffy. Garlic peppercorn steak was encrusted with a layer of seasoning and yet it wasn't that seasoned in terms of flavor, was just ok. Ordered medium and yet it looked black on the outside and medium rare inside and beyond tough - I could not even cut the steak, I ended up just ended eating the whole thing straight up. So strange and not worth $30 at all. The Idaho skins were good just wish the potatoes were crispier. The signature applewood smoked wings were so overpriced and terrible. I could not taste any flavor, it tasted like boiled wings expensive 6 for $18. The worst part: service, or rather lack thereof.!! Upon entering, we waited awhile for someone to come greet and seat us and seemed to judge us when we clarifying what tavern was when we were asked if we wanted tavern or dining room. We were seated and took a LONG time until finally our server came to take our order. Then took an even longer time to get our food almost 20minutes. The other table that got seated after us the order the same wings at the same time, got their food 10 minutes earlier than us and their server was present throughout the meal . Ours just was nowhere to be seen throughout the entire time. Finally the food came, we ate quick, and asked for the check. We couldn't even find our server to get the check! The other table has already gotten the check and signing the bill. We then got up and tried to flag down our waiter to for the check and takeout box and after a long time she gave them but disappeared again for a long time so we tried to flag her down, again, so we could actually pay. When we did, she rudely said "do you see the things im carrying? can you wait?" Mind you, we have been waiting for nearly another 20 minutes after we finished eating for any appearance from the waiter. We tried asking the other waiter who was actually present if we could but said we needed to get our actual server. We finally finished the whole transaction (20min waiting for food, 20min spent flagging down the waiter for the check/giving the money), and frustrated we wasted so much time here while on a trip for just OK food, we just left because the server then disappeared AGAIN after settling our bill. Hilariously enough, the only time she seemed to care about us was when we left and she went RUNNING after us to ask us "you did not tip enough, did I do something wrong?" in a rude and fake overly concerned way. After we briefly explained, she proceeds to loudly shame us saying "you supposed to tip me xyz because I provide you a service and if not you're really disrespectful". The audacity. Service was beyond horrible!!! and still demanding higher tips calling customers disrespectful when we did nothing but wait and get yelled at by her for not waiting even longer and still needing to directly pay her extra tips. During that scolding we got, we saw her name tag: Avery. Overall: Foods ok. LONG WAIT for food and check. Horrifying service by one server: Avery. Perhaps other servers were better like the one who took care of the table who sat down at the same time and left 20 minutes earlier meanwhile our service was way slower, not as friendly, demanding tips, and public scolds/shames customers for it. This experience totally soured my impression of this place and now I'm questioning why people even recommended this place to me and why I went along with it!

But there it is, as we were surprised to learn when we stopped by on a recent drive through Vermont. For folks like us who grew up in South Carolina and Georgia, Pearl's menu is home cooking, and pretty tasty, as it turned out. Not that everything worked, but we really enjoyed our dining here, will come back, and want to tell a bit about our experience. While there are some menu items that are generalized, the focus is clearly on the South. We were treated to cornbread first on the table -- delicious -- and then went after appetizers starting with biscuits, which were flaky, soft, cooked just right and perfectly served with both peach butter and gravy. And then the okra pickles (yes, no kidding) were crunchy and tangy. There was a couple at an adjoining table who looked at that last dish as if it was some kind of living alien. We tried to explain. The deviled eggs were first-rate: just a squidge of heat and fine flavor. We ordered the country fried steak, pretty good though just a little bit tough underneath mouth-watering gravy. The shrimp and grits was appealing in part because it's so hard to find grits properly cooked anywhere in New England, and the shrimp (4) were very large but not quite as tender as we would have hoped. A good dish, but not a great one. We ended the meal happy and filled. But... Pearl's is not a cheap trip. The shrimp and grits were $36, the country steak $32. The biscuits and biscuits were $16 each. Our server was very friendly but she missed water refills, and our time between dishes seemed a little too long. It was enough to draw our comments about the wait, never a good sign. We thought the level of noise was on the high side, but that was most likely one table of four people nearby whose conversation seemed to get only higher and higher pitched. It's an attractive interior, an older home, we'd guess, with lot of room for tables. There a nice bar area with a lot of seating, a patio and fire pit, so they can fit in a lot of people in good weather. And there's a small section inside where restaurant merch and some Vermont food items like maple syrup and jams are sold. It adds up to a lot of reasons to hang around. And maybe put away another biscuit or two.

But I attribute this to the fact that the bartender was training somebody new (and we were sitting at the bar because there were no tables available). The fact that there were no tables available is entirely our fault, the fact that the bartender was busy training somebody new was only slightly off-putting. The ambiance, lakefront dining was incredible. But here again, only SLIGHTLY off-putting, was the fact that the sliding glass doors were not wide open on this beautiful August day. I think the breeze off the lake would've been better than the air conditioning. I'm stretching a little bit for the negatives... the positives were too numerous to mention all of them. Simply put, the food was amazing. Totally unexpected for a small town in Sunapee, New Hampshire. Our dishes, from the appetizers to the main courses were totally unexpected, in a very positive way.
