Update: went back for another trip a year later. Worthy burger was just as delicious and the fries were on point. One of my favorite finds in my time around VT and NH! The hostess was incredibly personable and sweet. I'd had a crap day and really just wanted a beer. It was 5 minutes to close. I figured it wasn't going to happen, but I figured I'd look at their draft menu for the next day and get an idea of what I'd want to eat when I come back. Not only did they take great care of me and get me a MUCH needed beer, but when I came back to eat the next day it got even better! I couldn't decide which beer I wanted. The girl was SO nice and gave me half of each. Good call, because I definitely liked one more than the other! Now HERE is the BEST PART: the worthy burger. Sweet Jesus. I heard angels. Seriously one of the best burgers I've ever had. Ever. The bun was perfect and THOSE PICKLES! The cheese was perfectly melted. Just the right amount of secret sauce. Oh my goodness. This was the perfect stop for a meal after a long day of driving and seeing the beautiful places in the area. The grilled salmon sandwich with bacon along with the garlic parm fries cooked on beef tallow were perfection! It was the best messiest fish sandwich I've ever eaten! The gentleman that took our order was very courteous. You order at the bar, where they can make a drink or pour one of their many cold drafts for you. This restaurant was a recommendation as having good "Farm to Table" food. They bring you to a table and give you the table's number. You order your food and drinks at the bar, pay and your food is brought out to your table. The menu is not large, but has some interesting items. There are wings, sandwiches and burgers, they had a poke bowl and a Chili special. You got to pick a side if you ordered a burger or sandwich. We had the Korean Fried Chicken Sandwich with Korean BBQ sauce and kimchi, with the maple brussel sprouts as a side. The chicken sandwich was delicious, perfectly fried, a nice amount of kimchi ( which wasn't too spicy) and some spicy mayo on the side. The Brussels had a nice flavor, but some were so hard they were almost impossible to eat. The food didn't take long to come out. My friend found a very nice IPA from a brewery she loves. A great local bar--with surprisingly good food. You'll definitely want a reservation, which says a lot about the place. We were honestly surprised by how good the food was. The burgers are excellent, the fries are crisp and because of double frying, and the beef stroganoff was really solid. The wings weren't our favorite, but everything else more than made up for it. I say surprisingly because the majority of items on this menu are sandwiches and burgers and American fare, but they did a really nice job with Asian cuisine/flavors. If you look at my photo, it doesn't look great at first glance due to all of the sauces on top, but they actually all blend extremely well and do not taste overwhelming. Rice was perfectly sticky and tuna quality was top tier. They added their own flare and used these sphere shaped peppers, but I wasn't a huge fan of them. I would get this again. The only reason I didn't do 5 stars was the price. I don't know if it's the area, the restaurant, or inflation, but we haven't had two meals on our entire stay that wasn't over $120. Worthy Kitchen never fails to deliver the best in food and ambience. We were visiting and exploring sites in the Green Mountains when we decided to stop at worthy kitchen on the way home. We were certainly hungry and when we left, we were satiated and happy. Last time we were here was towards the end of the Covid pandemic, and their current ordering and serving model absolutely works. You go inside, are assigned a table, then go through the line, order food and drinks, then go to your table sit down, enjoy the view, and the wait staff brings your food. I am surely glad they've added poke bowls to the menu, because I had one, and it was absolutely delicious. I asked for salmon on top of it, and it was absolutely tasty. Very casual. We sat at the bar and enjoyed some great craft beers (too many to choose from) and sandwiches. I had the bbq chicken sandwich and John had the po boy. Both with nicely dressed side salads that included pine nuts and feta. Absolutely delicious. Bartenders stay busy as they are taking orders from guests who are sitting all over the restaurant. You order your food, give them your table number and your food will be brought to you. The menu wasn't extensive; they were out of many delicious sounding items. I got the smash burger with a side house salad. The salad had a maple vinaigrette that I could have drank a gallon of. The burger was very tasty as well. He ordered the wings plain with two separate dipping sauces - buffalo and maple bacon. If you go and order the wings just let them fix yours with the maple bacon and bypass all other flavors. It's also good on your fries. While the food was great and service was great the price is astronomical as just that cost close to $70 and we only drank sodas. read more

I was so surprised to see you have to reserve, but all orders are done at the bar, so you sit at your table and then go to the bar to order. The staff was friendly, and the service was speedy. I did not like my poke bowl here. I wanted to like it. It just didn't hit the mark. For me it didn't taste remotely close to the salmon bowls I'm used too. My friend said the wings were salty as well. The donuts, however, were so so so good. They where thick and fried to perfection. I especially like the vanilla dipping sauce. The cider was good as well. I can't remember which one I ordered, but it had shuttle apple notes. I liked my salmon burger, simple and the sauce was yummy. I wished I had chosen fries or the salad instead for the side. The side salad is very large actually and looks delicious. In Woodstock you can't find a better collection of high quality Vermont beer on tap (I.e. Hill Farmstead) and delicious gastropub treats. The smashburger is superb but so is everything they offer; I have been there numerous times and folks have raved about just about everything on the menu from salads to fish to sandwiches. Their fries, cooked in beef tallow, are the bomb. Worthy Kitchen is perfect for groups and they have ample seating inside and out. While it is not right downtown it is just a short walk - well worth your time. Much higher quality (both beer and food) than you will find down the road at Long Trail. For the beer enthusiast Worthy Kitchen is a must visit as they regularly have multiple Hill Farmstead drafts as well as other well curated New England beers. Service is efficient and warm. Service at the order counter is great, floor servers just dropped of the food and disappeared, and if you want a refill on a coke or brew you have to go back up to the register. Some examples: $12 to add chicken to your salad (so a chicken caesar is $26), single 6oz patty burgers are $20, fountain drinks $4.5). Food is not bad - at this price point you would order at the table and have proper napkins pretty much anywhere including Manhattan vs here it is fast food style with paper / plastic plates. The whole thing is a pretty annoying experience when you realize the owner just doesn't want to employ sufficient # of staff - yeah I mean everyone who is in the area will come here to give it a try for all the positive reviews so why bother with the cost, right? We'll definitely not be back - what surprised me the most is the locals who come here again and refresh the positive reviews.
