Super good breakfast. French toast. Spicy pancakes and eggs Benedict are all good. Long wait in the weekend and kitchen stops at 12p so get there early

One of the greatest breakfasts of my life! Walked into this dreamy sunlit cafe 8am on a Monday and had the most incredible homemade biscuit with egg and cheese and this sweet maple sausage that was so out of this world, we ordered more on the side. Got a side of Blueberry pancakes with Vermont maple syrup, which were everything you want pancakes to be, as was the side of French toast sticks made from their biscuit, slightly crunchier than the average French toast and so good. Really recommend ordering a la carte so you can try as much as possible. Invigorating fresh-squeezed orange juice. Would come back tomorrow (if it was open Tuesdays). 5 stars!!!!!

Phenomenal place and service. One of the few breakfasts spots in the city. Get there at 7:50 and get on the waitlist. You'll wait for an hour. French toast is a must. Eggs Benedict nothing great. Hot chocolate was awesome. Great funny bartender. Cool to eat in such a cool spot. Very popular. The French toast id go back for.

This place is it. Server, food, vibes - I want to eat breakfast here 5/7 days a week. Our server was so kind, and spot on with her follow up, checking in, recs, all. I got an Açaí bowl with a side of maple sausage (as she rec'd it) and 1. The maple sausage may be the best thing I've ever had for breakfast 2. Açaí bowl was fantastic, tiny, chopped fruit (which I like). My sister got the eggs Benny on the biscuit with the maple sausage and my god. I'm not a biscuit girl, but for these ones, I may become that girl. Overall, loved, and a nice warm feeling inside.

    Pancakes + lots of items.

Great small town with many gems. This is an amazing place to get amazing food with great service. Team was very friendly and even though very busy, food did not take long to get. Got a mix of everything but the highlight is the pancakes, worth it! Very much worth it if in the area!

Small and quaint, staff was super helpful and she did excellent with the amount of people in and out during the short time we were there. We had a bit of a wait but it wasnt a problem since there are cute little stores around the area. There were 4 of us so we made sure to try almost everything on the menu- its not a lot on the menu but what they do have, they sure have mastered it. We ordered: pantry breakfast (basically the grand slam of Dennys), acai bowl, mixed biscuits and gravy, eggs benedict, a glass of OJ, and a pancake to share. Everything was amazing. Everyone was happy with their meal. The only thing that threw us off was the maple sausage- although we were warned so we dont hold it against them. The maple sausage was a sausage made with maple and spices- not too sweet but its definitely different. Its either you love it or its not for you and for most of is it wasnt it. Other than that everything was superb. Definitely would go back if we ever head this way again!

Can I give this place 6 stars? Because it deserves it! On day two of our trip, the only food I couldn't stop talking about was breakfast at The Butlers Pantry. I went with the homemade biscuits and maple sausage as a breakfast sandwich (with fruit on the side) and honestly--it was the best breakfast I've had all year. They also serve fresh-squeezed orange juice, which I regret not trying... so if you go, try it for me! We showed up right when they opened on a Monday morning and still ended up on the waitlist, so definitely plan ahead. Totally worth it, though--the staff was so warm and welcoming, and the cozy, homey vibe made the whole meal even better.

Amazing menu and great staff! We came in the end of September so it started to get busy but the staff and restaurant was amazing!! It definitely helps joining the waitlist on yelp before you go so your wait is shorter! The restaurant is on Main Street Stowe. The relaxing and picture perfect building with the wrap around porch is very cozy!

We joined the waitlist through Yelp, and the entire process was incredibly smooth. Upon entering, there was an iPad available to confirm our arrival. We had a short wait, but it wasn't too long. Our server was nice enough but not overly nice- you knew he wanted to turn tables. Our food came out pretty quickly. All was great- except for my daughter's toast- it was overcooked and hard. I had the eggs Benedict, which on the biscuit just melted in your mouth. The home fries with cheddar were good too. Decaf coffee wasn't so great. My daughter had the fruit bowl- I ended up eating it and that granola was legit! It was a small place book the food was so good. We will be back in the future!

One of the best breakfasts I have ever had!! Butler's pantry absolutely lives up to the hype and a must visit while in stowe. I would certainly recommend utilizing the yelp waitlist function as lines were up to an 1.5hr wait starting at 8:30am on a Sunday - so plan ahead :). Inside an old rustic house, butlers pantry has a homey comforting ambiance. Service was super efficient to keep the flow going without feeling like they're rushing you and helpful with suggestions and recommendations. We split the jalapeno cheddar pancakes and oh my - that paired with the hollandaise sauce and maple syrup was such a delicious savory, salty, sweet, spicy combo. I will be dreaming of these pancakes - a must order. We also had the biscuits with the maple sausage gravy - heaven. My personal favorite biscuits and gravy, the biscuits were buttery and soft and the gravy was so flavorful and hearty. A filling and delicious meal i cannot wait to have again.

For brunch I joined some friends at Butler's Pantry. They knew in advance to get on the Yelp wait-list as soon it opened at 815. Still, the party of 4 had an estimated table availability of 930. Given the deluge of patrons, I expected service to be slower than what I would expect, so I brought some patience while ordering. I got coffee ($3), biscuits & gravy ($17), and a side of maple sausage ($5). Food arrived after 30 minutes. The biscuits and gravy did not skimp on gravy. I debated getting home fries to help lap some of it up. Thankfully, the biscuits had more height than I expected, as they were half submerged in gravy. The gravy proved sweet and mild. The biscuit's toasted texture provided well-needed contrast. The maple sausage practically oozed maple syrup. It did not prove overly sweet, as it sausage had much more sharp herbs than what a normal sausage patty would have. It made for bold, contrasting flavors. The sausage also tasted fresh. The wait proved well-worth.

I can see why this place is the talk of the town. Them hash brown were simply amazing!!!!! The homemade biscuits and the pancakes are insanely thick. The French toast is no joke, they're just as thick, too. Quality food across the board and amazing service. Don't forget to check this place out.

O M G!!! I loved this restaurant!! The pancakes and maple sausage are so worth the wait. I got smart and put us on the waitlist at about 8 am. There was already a 2 hour wait at that point which gave us time to get ready, park and peruse the shops. We sat at the bar which seemed to be the place we ended up sitting to eat all weekend in Stowe. I loved the old bar style - rich dark wood, thick countertops, quaint restaurant. Our waiter / bartender was very friendly, funny and gave great recommendations for food. While I had the pancakes, he chose the biscuits and gravy which is pretty hard to find for breakfast in Stowe. All the food was exceptional!

Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. From the moment we sat down, the attitude from behind the bar set the tone in the worst way. The older woman tending bar was openly dismissive, rolled her eyes at simple questions about the menu, and made us feel like we were inconveniencing her every time we ordered a drink or asked for something basic like water or silverware. No greeting, no smile, and zero effort to be even minimally polite. At one point she dropped drinks in front of us without a word and walked away before we could even ask for what was missing. It's a shame, because the kitchen clearly cares, but the experience at the bar completely overshadowed how good the food was. If ownership ever addresses the front-of-house attitude, this could be a fantastic place, but until then, be prepared for excellent plates paired with some truly miserable service.

We thought they'd be closed when we were staying, but we were happily wrong, so we had the pleasure of eating some great food for dinner. Plus, as a hotel guest, they gave us a coupon for a free appetizer, which we used and enjoyed !! For the appetizer, we chose (and shared) the pan-seared crab cakes that came with charred corn succotash, sliced apple and fennel micro salad, cara cara orange and basil aioli. It was delicious. For our entrees, my husband chose the Citrus Brined Grilled Pork Porterhouse, which included smoked gouda polenta, chipotle, crispy artichokes, charred scallion & toasted pepitas salsa verde. I ordered the Roasted Statler Chicken, which came with Saffron risotto, romesco, charred broccolini, and lined with a slight amount of chili oil. We also ordered a side of mashed potatoes infused with Cabot Creamery cheddar cheese, as well as some broccolini. All our food was delicious, especially those cheesy mashed potatoes, but unfortunately, we couldn't eat all our food, and nor could we save it. Boo-hoo. We both would've had enough left over for a second meal. Easily. I hate wasting food. There was no way we had room for dessert, so our meal ended with very full tummies and the enjoyment of well prepared entrees. There is a bit of historic significance to this restaurant. There is a reason it's called Grant's. The wrap around wooden bar top supposedly was restored from Harlem, New York where President Ulysses S. Grant MAY HAVE sat, drank and possibly smoked cigars. There are still old cigar burns left in the wood ! Regardless if it's legend or fact, it's a beautiful bar sitting in this fine restaurant. Go find out for yourself !
