Kids Chicken Fingers & Fries for Kids

We come here every year after we cut down our tree at the tree farms and we always have a wonderful experience. The wait staff is so nice and accommodating and the food never disappoints. It's tucked away in a shopping center but don't bypass this hidden gem. This trip, we just did some drinks and appetizers and it was fabulous. We had the nachos with chicken and the bang bang shrimp and my daughter had the kids chicken fingers. The nachos were piled high with so much chicken and toppings! Delicious as always. I had a bourbon Mule and a pumpkin beer and both were awesome. Can't wait to go back!

For the past decade CJs has been our "go to" establishment for many family gatherings, celebrations and date nights. We are grateful for their genuine staff, quality food and family friendly atmosphere. Always a great evening!

Came here on a trip out East today. The restaurant has a very "homey" vibe. Diners were watching the football game and workers were very nice. I ordered simple chicken and fingers and fries (with seasoning) and my husband ordered the CJ burger. Both were very good! My entree came with pickles which NEVER happens - huge plus! The seasoning on my fries reminded me of a delicious wing place by me and it was very good, but there was a little too much seasoning for my liking. My husband enjoyed his burger. CJ's has a very extensive menu and I will make an effort to try a nice steak (they have great variety) the next time I am in the area.

Going above and beyond for the community!! Such a blessing.

My wife and I were meeting a friend who lives in Laurel for dinner. We researched local restaurants…read moreand came across the Watershed Kitchen and Inn on OpenTable. The description of the restaurant, the menus and the reviews online made us to decide to give them a try. We're so glad that we did! We entered through the bar entrance which was lively but not crazy loud. There was a musician setting up in one corner of the bar area. We could hear him during our dinner but it was not at all distracting (and he was quite good). We were greeted by one of the hosts (who I now believe may be one of the owners). We were welcomed and escorted to a table in the dining room right behind the bar area. From what I could determine, there were at least two other dining areas and an outside dining area (for dining during the nicer weather). Our server quickly came to welcome us, ask if we had questions about the menu / specials and to take our drink order. She was attentive, pleasant and was able to quickly and accurately answer questions that we had (we have some dietary restrictions and needed to verify some ingredients. She knew immediately what we could order to dine safely. We started our order with the Chiccharon appetizer. I had anticipated that the item would be traditional crispy Chiccaron. Instead the dish was more of a pork belly in a broth. We actually enjoyed that much more! It was plentiful, cooked to perfection and flavorful. For dinner my wife and our friend ordered the sea bass special. They both thought it was plentiful, perfectly prepared and tasted great. I ordered the pork chop with spicy cherry peppers in a light evoo broth. I told our server that I wasn't eating potatoes or rice and asked for a recommendation for a substitute. She recommended the broccolini which was a perfect alternative. My pork chop was served perfectly (medium, juicy,) and was huge! We passed on dessert but the options looked amazing. We will absolutely be back again SOON. Thank you.

The staff even brought a pie plate with water for them. Highly recommend.

Great place for a bite !…read more I stopped in with some friends at LLK for a casual dinner while a street festival was going on outside. A good selection of delicious looking items on the menu. I went for the signature LLK burger ($19). Good presentation, generous portions and the fries were amazing! The burger was cooked exactly as requested it (medium rare). Though, I wish the burger had a little more pizzazz in taste and flavor. Other items that were ordered on the table included the turkey burgers, and risotto. My friend commented "that's the best risotto I've ever had" Service was friendly , attentive and welcoming. Unfortunately, I didn't take any photos of food or menu for you to view. She never came by to ask if we needed anything else. She walked by our table several times without checking on us. We had to stop her to get more water. With a band setting up behind us we settled in for a relaxing evening. Read a few reviews about the Windamere ( located above the marina) which made us pause but hunger outvoted hesitancy so we threw caution to the wind. Honestly I was pleasantly surprised. Even though we did not have a reservation we were warmly greeted and immediately seated on the outside patio area overlooking both the marina and band. Our server Victoria was outstanding, the epitome of excellent customer service skills; professional, friendly, engaging, menu knowledgeable and attentive. The food was very good starting with the baked clams and mussels. The baked salmon and seared tuna dishes were well seasoned, moist and flaky, the salmon served over rice and asparagus. Found the food good, slightly under portioned compared to other establishments but reasonably priced. During dinner we enjoyed listening to the band ( Radio Flashback) which we had seen previously. Overall a pleasant evening at Windamere enjoying some good food and drinks while listening to some great music. Although there is inside seating I'd recommend the outside patio area. Just a word ( or two) of caution the bar area overlooks the marina pool which can be a little noisy so if your eating would not recommend that patio area and just remember the lyrics to the song 867-530/Jenny you'll understand later .

Redemption! I always…read moretry to keep an open mind when visiting a restaurant, especially if it's new. Well, I'm happy to say this one has matured very well. Just walking in, we were warmly greeted, then quickly seated. This place is "picnic style", so you're given menus at your table, but order at the counter (I personally like that vibe). Anyway, we ordered their 1/4 pound, five-meat sampler (pulled pork, pulled chicken, brisket, a competition-style rib and a whole smoked sausage) and they converted me. Everything was nothing short of awesome. Both the pork and chicken were juicy and tender, the brisket this time around was smoked to succulent perfection and the rib was nothing short of excellent (not 'fall off the bone", but with that perfect competition "pull" that really won me over). The sausage I learned was locally sourced and a great compliment to the platter. Enough for two with small appetites to share. The sauce is still in small cups, but as I was told, there had been so much waste left on empty plates, that they had no choice to serve it that way, and I get that. Restaurants run on very thin margins these days. I had the spicy version again and really enjoyed it. Add in some live music played by a couple of good ole boys and since my first visit 9 months ago, this place has turned into a legit Long Island BBQ joint and will now be part of my usual rotation. I still think the hush puppies could have used a few seconds less in the fryer, but the flavor profile was spot on as was the corn fritters. But we left happy and full...I'm glad I was able to get back and try it again. Plenty of parking, all cards and a very laid back experience. Great for families or a stop by while cruising the north fork of Long Island. It's a gotta-go in my opinion. Nicely done!
