Service was pretty quick, our waitress was very nice and attentive, our cocktails came out shortly after ordering. We ordered the Chicken and Lemongrass dumplings, they were very good. Perfectly steamed, they were plump and not oily with a nice dipping sauce. I had the Asian Tuna Wrap, on which I drizzled the dipping sauce I saved from the dumplings earlier. It was magnificent. My better half had the Fried Chicken Boom Boom sammich and it was beautifully fried. I had a bit of it, and it too was fantastic. Added this to the short list of restaurants that we'll frequent on the way to Custer.

The experience was actually slow and refined, without the white tablecloths. Alpina has German, Swiss, and slightly Northern Italian influenced cuisine, along with a selection of alcohols I was completely unfamiliar with... which made the experience feel full of new things. I told our waiter that I'd write him a love letter over it, and here I am! The pappardelle had shredded duck, cheese, and big, fun, chewy noodles that were satisfying to slurp. It just needed a dash of pepper to elevate it. The meat and cheese board included a few things I'd never tried before, and it was so good I was searching for a meat shop in Manhattan so we could buy them again.
