What use to be the Jamesport Manor is now the Dimon Estate. And although I've never been to the Jamesport Manor, Dimon Estate fits perfectly in to the neighborhood, offering an amazing menu with seasonal and delicious items. It was a bit on the quiet side when we went, but I was happy that we made a reservation. I can see this spot booking up quickly. The outside was gorgeous and they had an amazing outdoor patio. But we did not want any distractions so we sat indoors. The inside is just as beautiful with a traditional, but not dated, decor. Every part of the meal was delightful, including the cocktail. The baked Brie and burratini were a great way to start. The fluke was cooked perfectly. The highlight of the whole meal were the tequila lime raviolis. Unique and one of my favorite most recent meals. I would go running there to try this dish before it leaves their seasonal menu.

Great local place. Food is excellent, service is friendly n courteous. We sat at charming outdoor seating. Buratini is nice but a small app. Duck wings I hear is very good ( I dont eat poultry). Oysters were nice clean n fresh. The only sparkling water they had Fillet for $12! Never heard of it. It was good but not worth $12. Steak was very good, halibut was nicely prepared seasoned well, my tuna was delicious, crispy outside n moist inside. I will def come back when I'm back in the area. It's very good eats.

Yes, I am consistent in my standards. As the restaurant is also consistent in its food and service.

This place has been on my bucket list for some time now. I remember the old Jamesport Manor 35 years ago. The storyline back then was an old sea captain's house complete with a widow's watch. It was a cool place well it was dark inside a little musty and the outside needed TLC but they did make a killer roast duck. Fast forward and Matt Kar from Jamesport Country Kitchen came to its rescue and rebuilt a beautiful restaurant. Matt's food has always been on point and he must be a good teacher because his son Chris puts out the same quality dishes. It took me a while on the internet to see when and if the place is still open. It is no longer called Jamesport Manon but instead Dimon Estate. The trouble is if one was to google Jamesport Manor it mentioned nothing about Dimon or a forwarding link. The contact page says they are closed for the winter. Small things but.... Anyway, the food and vibe were great. The duck drumettes were so flavorful and I thought a decent size portion. Halibut was also tasty, perfectly cooked, and accompanied by 5 gnocchi (it's fine dining) My seafood rigatoni was bowl-licking good. The few lobster bites in the seafood pasta might not have been plentiful but they were certainly memorable. Great dish! It's 2022, post covid, Putin, whatever and $30-$45 entrees are unfortunately the norm. Try Dimon Estate, it's worth it, and if you wear a Clemson Tiger shirt you just might get a high five from the owner.

The description of the restaurant, the menus and the reviews online made us to decide to give them a try. We're so glad that we did! We entered through the bar entrance which was lively but not crazy loud. There was a musician setting up in one corner of the bar area. We could hear him during our dinner but it was not at all distracting (and he was quite good). We were greeted by one of the hosts (who I now believe may be one of the owners). We were welcomed and escorted to a table in the dining room right behind the bar area. From what I could determine, there were at least two other dining areas and an outside dining area (for dining during the nicer weather). Our server quickly came to welcome us, ask if we had questions about the menu / specials and to take our drink order. She was attentive, pleasant and was able to quickly and accurately answer questions that we had (we have some dietary restrictions and needed to verify some ingredients. She knew immediately what we could order to dine safely. We started our order with the Chiccharon appetizer. I had anticipated that the item would be traditional crispy Chiccaron. Instead the dish was more of a pork belly in a broth. We actually enjoyed that much more! It was plentiful, cooked to perfection and flavorful. For dinner my wife and our friend ordered the sea bass special. They both thought it was plentiful, perfectly prepared and tasted great. I ordered the pork chop with spicy cherry peppers in a light evoo broth. I told our server that I wasn't eating potatoes or rice and asked for a recommendation for a substitute. She recommended the broccolini which was a perfect alternative. My pork chop was served perfectly (medium, juicy,) and was huge! We passed on dessert but the options looked amazing. We will absolutely be back again SOON. Thank you.

There was a hair in it (I've worked in a restaurant before so I was extremely understanding about that). I sent it back for a new one and they took it off the bill without me asking. My husband ordered the burger and he devoured it. The truffle fries are a must. Last time they had a better more varied beer selection. This time they only had one IPA on tap but it was good. Overall a great experience and I'd come back again!

The place is definitely dated, and not fancy, but that's what gives it its local charm. It has an old school, neighborhood joint feel, where locals have probably been coming for years and the staff knows everyone by name! We brought our 21 month old son and he was accommodated with a high chair and kid-friendly dining options. He ate every last bite of his fried shrimp and sweet potato fries. My husband and I shared the Kickin' Oysters app which were sooo good, that I wish there were more in the order. My son enjoyed his shrimp dipped in the oyster app sauce. We then got the marinated steak dinners, and mine was surf and turf with a decent size succulent lobster tail. The steaks came with salad, corn, and a potato. The marinated steaks were delicious. Juicy and cooked just how we requested with good flavor and char too. My lobster tail was cooked perfectly. After all that, we also managed to eat dessert. The cheesecake was our choice. It was okay, not homemade, but good enough to round out a delicious steak meal! Servers were friendly, and food came out quickly! If you want a no-frills but yummy steak dinner out on the North Fork, go here!

I opted to get a marinated steak over a calabrese salad with mozzarella, tomato and red peppers with a balsamic dressing. The steak was delicious, and marinated to perfection. The waitresses were kind and the atmosphere is real homey. That's part of the attraction for me. Nothing changes, while everything else in the area is losing its rural character, you can go into Cliffs and reminisce the old days on the North Fork. I was there many times with my husband and friends and it feels like yesterday. I hope it always stays the same. To top it off, I had a slice of the chocolate cake for dessert. It was a happy ending for sure. Go to Cliffs Elbow Room if you're in Jamesport and want a good steak.

With a band setting up behind us we settled in for a relaxing evening. Read a few reviews about the Windamere ( located above the marina) which made us pause but hunger outvoted hesitancy so we threw caution to the wind. Honestly I was pleasantly surprised. Even though we did not have a reservation we were warmly greeted and immediately seated on the outside patio area overlooking both the marina and band. Our server Victoria was outstanding, the epitome of excellent customer service skills; professional, friendly, engaging, menu knowledgeable and attentive. The food was very good starting with the baked clams and mussels. The baked salmon and seared tuna dishes were well seasoned, moist and flaky, the salmon served over rice and asparagus. Found the food good, slightly under portioned compared to other establishments but reasonably priced. During dinner we enjoyed listening to the band ( Radio Flashback) which we had seen previously. Overall a pleasant evening at Windamere enjoying some good food and drinks while listening to some great music. Although there is inside seating I'd recommend the outside patio area. Just a word ( or two) of caution the bar area overlooks the marina pool which can be a little noisy so if your eating would not recommend that patio area and just remember the lyrics to the song 867-530/Jenny you'll understand later .
