Different menu than their waterfront location; atmosphere is rather nice inside and has an elegant English pub or tavern vibe. The wagu onion stack burger was very good as was the pizza. The pizza is fron Peter's next door which is afflicted. Service was very friendly but a little slow. Parking is tough but the whole town is very walkable. read more

Interesting story that I read about Claudio's Restaurant. The restaurant was established in 1870 when Manuel Claudio, a Portuguese immigrant, first arrived in Greenport. I parked alongside the main street on a rainy day and wandered into the bar restaurant while enjoying a pretzel and a drink. The staff was friendly, and the bar seating was comfortable. There is not much more I can mention about the restaurant since I chose to just have a pretzel. The pretzel was great. read more

This place is such a joke. We booked a welcome party for our wedding here 7 months ahead of our wedding, as to have everything squared away ahead of time. We signed a contract, and sent CC info for a $1600 deposit. I found it odd that 3 weeks out I never heard from them, as our menu selections and headcount was due (mind you this is a 55 person event). When I contacted the restaurant to confirm everything, they told me they had a system update which must have accidentally removed our event from their calendar, so they forgot we had booked, and can no longer host our party. They said had I not called myself to confirm everything we would've shown up to a closed building the day of the event. The manager then tells me don't worry, we spoke to another local restaurant that can take over your party for about the same price. I call this said restaurant, and this was not the case! They did not have a space to accommodate my group, and said it would cost almost triple the price! After this, Claudios went radio silent, refusing to return calls and emails. Our deposit was returned, however this was handled so poorly by Claudio's. We were then left 3 weeks out scrambling calling every restaurant on the North Fork trying to find a new location, while simultaneously contacting our 55 guests to notify them all of the plans. We are all out of towners, and I had paid to have invitations made up and sent out for this welcome party. I had also paid to have welcome signs and decor made up that now all went to waste. At the very least Claudios did not even offer a gift card or ANY type of gesture to apologize for their mistake !! No wonder they have their google reviews disabled. Such a poor excuse for a business that was once quite reputable. read more

I live in Virginia and used to go there when I visited my Mother until she pasted away. Today was the first time that I visited since it changed ownership. There were only six people sitting at the bar. The bartender Michelle C seemed distracted. We ordered a few drinks and I ordered a half dozen clams on the half shell. IMHO they should serve them with a clam knife, as none of them were shucked completely. I had to use the fork to shuck them out of the half shell. Then when I asked for our check there was only one other person at the bar and it took her several minutes to bring our check. It is the first time in quite a while when I did not leave a tip of less than twenty percent. This was not based on the clams not being properly shucked (which was not her fault) but on the lack of her attention. read more

Came here for my bachelorette party dinner. Could not say enough how happy we were to come here and then to Claudios on the waterfront for the bar. We loved everything for the drinks and appetizers. We first ordered biscuits then each ordered our own plates. I wish I took more photos. I did of my plate which was the spaghetti alla vongole. There was just enough to be filling for a night out! Recently I and my cousins were in the North Fork and stopped to Greenport and we had lunch at Claudio' s Tavern.The place is very clean and the Staff are very helpful..This was a beautiful summer day and the town,waterfront were crowded.We had Calamari, Oyster Chowder Sandwiches.The bar was packed too.The food was very good We took many pictures of the boats and Claudio's Waterford Restaurant that was packed too.Claudio,s has been a staple in the Town for many years.If you are in the North Fork go to Greenport specially Main Street and the waterfront. Awful food. Such a disappointment. Last year (2023) was excellent and this year was horrible. I heard there is new ownership. I hope they can get their crap together! Claudio's staff outdid themselves on Friday night. The bartenders handled a packed house. The servers were professional and very helpful. Hubby and I went a few weeks ago on a beautiful Saturday evening. It's been approximately 2 1/2 years since we've been there. I remember liking this restaurant and always enjoying the Captains platter. We were looking forward to this visit since the new ownership took over. Well unfortunately it was not a pleasant experience. When we walked in approximately 4:45 we were warmly greeted but it went down hill from there. Was told they were understaffed and asked it we could be patient for a short time. Hostess said bread would be served and someone will take our cocktail order. Well 22 minutes later( no kidding) bread was delivered. The hot bread basket was delicious but the wait was ridiculous and we were still waiting for our drink order to be taken. Finally within 30 minutes cocktails were delivered. So disappointed, they were not made well, mix was off. Not what we remembered from the past. Man, this was not going well. What was so annoying is the owner/ manager was walking around micromanaging his staff but did not lift a finger in helping when clearly they were understaffed. Not a team player. Shame on you. We ordered appetizers and when they were delivered I looked at my husband and remarked they can't be serious. The wedge salad was a joke, not even a quarter of a lettuce and they charged $12. Ridiculous! The clams were dry, packed with bread crumbs and served luke warm. We've had enough. No complaints made by us, we just asked for check and were on our way. Walked a short distance and found a Mexican restaurant that served a delicious meal, great drinks and outstanding service. Purposely went out of our way to go to Greenport to have seafood but it wasnt meant to be. Good luck Claudio's , your going to need it! And to top it off they want to charge you $10 for parking without reimbursement like they did under previous ownership. No, that ain't happening. You have nerve. read more

The service was terrible...waited 45 minutes and we had to ask before our food was served...obviously it was just sitting in the kitchen so the soup was brought with the main course...!! Ran me over $200 for 4 people for this and without any drinks... I was shocked when I got the bill and a "Holiday" 20% gratuity was added and they would not remove it....with such poor service they apparently have to force a tip on the customer...it was not any holiday....!!!!! The menu did not warn about this mandatory tip.....we did not know about it until the bill as handed to us I will never go there again...there are plenty of other restaurants to go to in Greenport and they are all superior....... From the beginning, the service was subpar due to the lack of attention we received from the host and the waitstaff. It seemed as if we were not deemed worthy of dining there compared to other people who arrived after us. Once they realised we didn't order alcohol, the service somehow got worse and it took a while to get the server's attention for anything. The food was okay, but it took over 45 minutes to arrive, even though other tables received food before us, despite ordering later. Realistically, I was not going to leave a 20% tip after the experience, but I didn't have a choice since they tacked on a "holiday gratuity" and when asked about it they argued with us. I'm pretty sure that is not allowed, unless it's stated on the menu somewhere but it wasn't. It is also a random Friday in July, not a holiday. It appears they make up for bad service and lack of genuine tips by forcing the gratuity on everyone they want to. read more

The Restaurant at Claudios is absolutely stunning! It has always been a great location to visit while in Greenport - easy to get to by boat as well! But with the new updated interiors it is really light and bright inside, which makes you feel like you were dining al fresco! The new drink and food menu made our extra large group so happy! There was something for everyone :) And the staff made it really enjoyable and fun! We would highly recommend this restaurant! And we will be back :) read more

We were planning on sitting outside on the dock, but happened to choose a day to visit Greenport where the temp was over 90, and the humidity was unbelievable. The air conditioning inside Claudio's was the answer... and the bar was a comfy choice. The beer was ice cold and refreshing, and we had lobster rolls two ways. The Mrs. went traditional, while I picked the lobster BLT. Both were delicious! The fries on the side were crispy and hot. While we'll shoot for the dock next time... we'll always be happy at the bar at the restaurant! read more

The New England clam chowder was delicious and the crab cake app. Unfortunately I didn't get a pic of the delicious lobster roll (Connecticut ) they I had.
