Oysters, onion rings, calamari & drinks on a mild Saturday in July. Perfect weather in the water.

The BEST fish and chips east of London. Seriously - just east of Claudio's commercial garbage. Get ambiance and service.

The food, service and atmosphere were great. Our margaritas were well crafted, a great selection of local beer and wine. We ordered the double smash burger with cheddar, which was well thought out, with crispy onions, thin pickles and a nice toasted (and buttered, yum!) sesame bun. We also ordered the pasta dish, mezzelune, which had nice delicate half moon homemade ravioli with a nice pomodoro style sauce. I highly recommend this new restaurant, and I hope they are really successful. We'll be back for sure!

Why have I been walking past Alpina everytime I'm in Greenport?…read more Was it the dark atmosphere? Did I think I was getting just another American-German influenced restaurant with only brats and potato pancakes? Did I expect polka? The experience was actually slow and refined, without the white tablecloths. Alpina has German, Swiss, and slightly Northern Italian influenced cuisine, along with a selection of alcohols I was completely unfamiliar with... which made the experience feel full of new things. The most memorable food was actually one of the simplest. The chef prepared incredibly creamy, caramelized onions with a slight sauerkraut tang that was amazeballs. I told our waiter that I'd write him a love letter over it, and here I am! The pappardelle had shredded duck, cheese, and big, fun, chewy noodles that were satisfying to slurp. It just needed a dash of pepper to elevate it. The meat and cheese board included a few things I'd never tried before, and it was so good I was searching for a meat shop in Manhattan so we could buy them again. Portion sizes aren't huge for the price, but it was worth it to us. Don't be afraid of the dark entrance, the ligonberry on the menu, and ask the bartender about the connection between the giant copper gnome and penguin shaker gone rouge.

I love the hanging lights over the bar, the really add light without making the space too bright. We sat on the couches next to the next place and although it wasn't lit, the vibes were sooo cozy. As a tequila girl I went for the maleficent. It was sweet and the lavender really added to the drink! I typically like to try different drinks but I stuck to this one all night. Our bartender was so friendly and quick! I'll definitely be back soon!

Don't let the outside of this place fool you because looks are definitely deceiving. We were cautious coming to this place due to the appearance of the outside, but once we were in it was so much fun. Agus, aka rawbartender, was Ah-mazing and truly made the night fun. He was truly such a vibe!! I ordered the SpongeBob, which was Goslings rum, pineapple spice, ginger, lime, angostura bitters. Especially with the show that was put on, my drink tasted even better. It was a Smokey, yet smooth and refreshing drink! We also got the Snow White, on the sweeter side made with Pear vodka, orgeat, pear juice, lemon juice, cinnamon. And of course, we can't forget our schooling in tequila and Mezcal from Agus. He was very informative of what he was serving and we tried a few different shots. He gave us the rundown of how you're actually supposed to taste tequila. And I have to say I've never had an experience like that before. I wish the party didn't stop and I will definitely be coming back specifically for Agus and of course the drinks!

We stopped in on a whim and luckily they had plenty of space for our impromptu lunch on the rooftop. It was the perfect space! We got two seats on the bar overlooking the water. Your view is mostly parking lot below, but the beautiful covered roof behind you is enough to transport you to an Italian seaside in your head. It was an intentionally small lunch for us, as we knew we'd be having a big meal not too long after, so we decided to share the fish tacos, along with a side of grilled asparagus and then we also impulse ordered a few pieces of the sushi. Everything was delicious! The fish tacos ended up being the perfect thing for two people to share. The order came with two bigggg boys, so no fighting over a rogue 3rd taco. Sushi was fresh and so tasty, and the asparagus was perfectly grilled and a nice side. I can see this place getting vibey at night, especially on the rooftop with the bar right there. A place to come back to for sure.

The martini tasted watered down and the wine was poured into a small glass not even halfway. Our waitress was nice but overwhelmed. I ordered the macadamia crusted halibut. It sat on top of sticky rice. Chopped eggplant was scattered around it along with some lychee foam. The halibut was overcooked and dry. I did not like the foam. The rice was ok as was the eggplant. Also ordered was the paella. I love saffron, but it was overpowering in this dish. It was not enjoyable. Also ordered was pasta with butter for the kids. It was ok. I would not go back here.
