Fauna is hands down one of my favorite restaurants on Long Island. It's one of those places I find myself coming back to over and over, especially for brunch. If you go, do yourself a favor and order the French press coffee. It's so good and the perfect way to start your meal. I've tried a lot on the menu, and there are a few dishes I always recommend: the chicken and waffles, lamb chops, almond-crusted flounder, bison carpaccio, and the Chrispé Chicken Baguette. Every dish is thoughtfully prepared, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and effortlessly charming, and the service is always welcoming. Whether you're celebrating something special or just looking for an incredible brunch or dinner, Fauna never disappoints. Easily one of Long Island's best restaurants. Five stars every time.

I've been to Flora several times, but I recently tried their sister restaurant, Fauna. It's a quiet location, set off Main St., with a parking lot conveniently across the street. Very cool fire pit and Adirondack chairs to relax with a drink on the front lawn. Interior was spacious and trendy with both inside and outdoor seating. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable and food was delicious. There were so many things I wanted to try, but ultimately went with steak and eggs which was very good. Would definitely come back to try over things!

We went to Fauna for our anniversary and honestly couldn't have picked a better spot. We walked in right after a snowstorm and were surprised by how lively it was. It never felt rushed or empty, just a great energy. The ambience was warm and intimiate, perfect for a special night out. The lobster carbonara was incredible, but I still can't get over the crispy pork belly, easily the highlight of the meal. We did the restaurant week menu and it was absolutely worth it, both in value and quality. Everything from the food to the overall experience felt thoughtful and well done. Such a great experience overall. Will definitely be back.

Elegant yet relaxed. Creative menu with fresh, seasonal ingredients and balanced flavors. Cocktails are crafted with care, and the wine list complements the dishes well. Service is attentive without hovering. Refined dining without the pretense--one of the Hamptons' standouts.

Cuisine: 7 Service: 7 Decor: 9 Value: 4 Overall: 7 This is a wonderful restaurant in the Hamptons for a nice weekend brunch or a celebratory event. Well, for a small group of us, it was both. Walking into what looks like a nice residential home, you enter a space with an interesting theme. As the name suggests, the wallpaper, paintings, and even sconces were full of animals, from the main dining room to the bathroom. Starting off with some lovely Herbed Popovers and flavorful Parlato Kale, it was a nice way to start. Unfortunately, entrees were more of a mixed bag. The best of the items was probably the French Dip, which was cooked medium rare, came with some arugula and herbed mayo, served with a side of delicious au jus and horseradish. Another good entree was the Classic Fish & Chips, which was somewhat crispy and very tender, but the price seemed ridiculous even for the Hamptons area. There were two pieces of fried cod and a handful of fries for $29. Ouch! I would say a total of about 4 ounces of cod at best. Even for this area, I felt that was unacceptable. Both burgers were fine, but nothing too special. Definitely skip the Chrisphé Chicken Sandwich because it was very dry. Overall, the food was solid. From my understanding, this is the same team behind Cow Fish, Rumba, and Flora. Clearly, they have a formula that works. Albeit pricey, their beautiful restaurants that serves decent food and good service keeps bringing in happy customers.

A big thank you to our waiter Michael for his generous hospitality and for making my birthday lunch so special! Fauna was on our list of restaurants to try for a while and I'm so glad this was my decision. Hot and dirty martini to start b/c why not! So good. 10/10 Popovers one word. Get! Soft, warm, delicious buttery goodness! 10/10 Lobster bisque rich and creamy, I loved mine, my wife found hers to be a little too salty. 8/10 Almond crusted flounder, decent portion flavors blended nicely with the salad, tomatoes, and capers. 7/10 Green goddess Orecchiette very flavorful. Peas gave a good sweetness, pasta had a good lemony taste, the slow roasted ricotta had a strong sun-dried tomato flavor which paired well with the focaccia bread. 8/10 Expresso martini one of the best I have ever had. 10/10 Pecan chocolate cake for dessert, rich and decadent. 10/10 Highly recommend, and we both look forward to returning. The service from Michael was top notch!

This was genuinely one of the best meals I've had in a long time. We shared a few things, including the popover, the red pepper gnudi, the Brussels sprouts, and the absolutely massive almond crusted flounder with sweet potatoes. Every single dish was delicious and prepared just right. Loved the ambiance here as well. Highly recommend it if you're in Westhampton and can get a reservation.

Wow! Excellent food, unique dishes and flavors, beautifully plated. We enjoyed the trout, gnudi and Brussel sprouts. Waitstaff was patient, friendly and helpful. They were able to modify our dishes for no butter without taking away any flavor! Outdoor patio is a great, relaxing vibe and gets loungy at night with a dj. Highly recommend and hope to return. Happy we had reservations since it was super crowded.

Anyone who says the food in the Hamptons is just alright clearly hasn't been to Fauna. I had one of the best meals and best martinis of my life here this winter. Located off of main street in Westhampton, Fauna operates out of a cozy cottage-esque building that's warm and inviting in winter (and I'd imagine just as charming during summertime). We made a reservation for 8:45 on a weekday, but saw how much fun everyone was having at the bar and decided to post up and eat there. Our bartender was attentive and accommodating, promptly supplying us with the food and drink menu. I kicked things off with the hot and dirty martini which lived up to its name. Equal parts salty and spicy, it combines the best flavors of a bloody mary while packing the punch of a dirty martini. For appetizers we split the bison carpaccio, the best carpaccio I've ever had in my life. The espresso chili salt and fresh lemon balanced this dish out perfectly, plus it was served with crispy crackers for added texture. The mussels we split featured chorizo which I typically don't like, but the spices in this one were just right. We also had the herbed popover, which was fluffy and delicious. We split the steakhouse caesar as well which was another home run - the horseradish forward caesar dressing was on point, and the hearty anchovies the salad came topped with were excellent. We also split the French dip which was packed with prime rib (can you tell we were hungry?), probably the best French dip I have ever had or will ever have again. If you're in the area and want to have an outstanding, memorable meal, this is your spot.

Outstanding experience across the board. Ambiance is wonderful. Lively atmosphere, however it's still possible to carry on conversation without having to shout (pet peeve) Food was excellent. My wife is a vegetarian and had no problem finding friendly options. She did say that she could have made an entire meal of the delicious popovers (served hot w delicious honey butter) Service was attentive and friendly. Happy we found Fauna for the first of what will surely be many visits!

Going up the stairs to the Social Club through the Theater gives it speakeasy vibes. Once you arrive upstairs there's a sprawling, opulent bar, along with velvet booths and chairs along the wall. We were also offered a little bowl of movie theater popcorn which made me so happy, a nice touch. We ordered cheese as well which was cubed and easy to eat, served alongside mustard. We made friends while we were here, along with an employee who was here on his off day enjoying the bar. He told us that this space is meant to feel like a second living room and be welcoming to anyone who doesn't have somewhere to go - they stayed open on Thanksgiving this year to welcome people who had nowhere to go, and those people have since become regulars. There were small bottles of various syrups, like rose and lavender, on a tray near me. I ordered a Sazerac, and (Josh?) didn't have to look up the recipe. It was delicious, and very strong for such a small drink. I only had one. Two would have made me tipsy, and I had to drive. Apparently, the bartenders and GM brainstorm cocktails on a regular basis, looking for new drinks to add to their repertoire. This is the perfect choice for drinks with someone special, or with a group of friends. Definitely a dressy kind of place. I would feel comfortable in a cocktail dress here, or leather pants and a silk top. However, I don't think that there's an actual dress code.
