7/15/19-The flavor of my pork chop was delicious. I really liked the glaze. It could have been a little juicier on the inside. The potatoes and green beans were delicious. My husband got the avocado BLT with fries. He had plenty to eat. He would have gotten the shrimp tacos if he would have had the choice of flour tortillas instead of corn. Ricardo came to our table a little too often, but I guess it's better than constantly having to look for your waiter. The only downside is that the menu is a little limited, but we will definitely be back. 7/15/20-My chopped salad was good. Ordered it with bacon. Disappointed that it was bacon bits. I thought it would be sliced up bacon. Reminded me of Costco's bacon bits. No Applewood smoked bacon liked the menu states. read more

Our office Christmas party was booked here. Usually, I dread these things because the poor waitress has an impossible task of keeping everyone happy, which is next to impossible. I wish I could remember her name. Our waitress was awesome! She definitely was on top of things and displayed absolutely confidence. The food was great, but the service was even better!! Also, the manager came by and thanked us for choosing them. Y'all go by and give them some business! The tenderloin beef tips were amazing with jalapeño bacon macaroni and cheese and green beans. Wow! The atmosphere first of all. You walk in and don't want to leave. Traveling back to Dallas we stopped for dinner. Very professional staff. Now to the food! I ordered a small meal and at that was overwhelmed at the portion. Delicious of course. My wife's meal same. In fact we both commented even after leaving how satisfying it was. Let me start with the positive - went for Sunday brunch. Great atmosphere, excellent music playing at a reasonable volume, incredible menu items, solid service. We suspect they filter their water, which is a huge plus! I really had high hopes for this place but it fell short of expectations. We ordered calamari to start and it was average at best. Both the breading and the squid were very bland. The temperature of the frying oil may not have been hot enough because the breading held onto a ton of oil. The accompanying pepper sauce was delicious, though. We ordered the Citizens Chicken, no goat cheese with a side of Brussels Sprouts and the Citizens Benedict. The chicken came out with cheese and the Citizens Benedict was cold. The server promptly checked on us and sent both dishes back to get remade. The manager immediately came out to apologize and ensure we were taken care of. She also brought our dishes back out. The chicken was made as requested this time. The Brussels sprouts tasted great but were not hot. The Citizens Benedict was unimpressive - asparagus and potatoes were lukewarm this time and the eggs Benedict was warm (still not hot by any means.) The Benedict had a great flavor and they do a hollandaise well. The potatoes were seasoned well but were very soft instead of crispy. Based on our experience, I assume the food is not fresh and made to order but instead, premade and assembled to order. We initially planned to try their amazing looking desserts but after allowing them to remake our food and still falling short, we passed and went to Bruster's for ice cream instead. The place definitely has potential - fantastic atmosphere, great menu ideas, some good flavors, very good service. They just need to work on quality control over what comes out of the kitchen. read more

Went in and sat down in an empty restaurant only to have to holler and call for waiter multiple times after approximately 15minutes someone comes to tell us they do not have what is listed on the menu for 2-3 different items. SO, just got an appetizer. The food was subpar and my father's fell apart...nobody came to check up on us during the entire meal. After eating our meal we had to wait to pay. To pay the business we had to wait. To give someone business it just seems so disrespectful and rude and bad for business. I highly do not recommend. read more

This is a really nice bar/restaurant, comfy and casual and with excellent food. The menu is fairly long, from ambitious steaks and seafood to burgers and wings. After four visits we've only counted one miss-step, but everything else has been so good we let it go. Some things we've tried that are excellent include their tortilla soup, chef's salad with or without salmon, bacon jam sliders, mashed potatoes, and fish & chips. The one miss-step which still has us scratching our heads are the grilled chicken wings. They're perfectly grilled, juicy with a crunchy coat, but served dry - no hot sauce. So they taste...dry. We asked for some hot sauce, the waitress admitted that's a common request, and in 10 minutes was back with the perfect buffalo wings hot sauce - 50% butter and 50% Frank's hot sauce. Once we'd coated the wings they were delicious, dipped in the blue cheese that came with the original wings. There's a great indoor/outdoor patio room here so it's fun on nice days, and the inside is dark-wood clubby. So far we've had nothing but bright, cheery, attentive waitresses, which is increasingly rare these days. Put it all together and this is a very good restaurant, certainly worth returning to on a regular basis for lunch or dinner. read more

I like to go here and recently had company and took them there for dinner and they were very impressed with the menu and the food that they ordered. I recommend this place because they have such a good variety and if you have a thirst for an alcoholic beverage, you can get that too, keep in mind they stay pretty busy but service has always been good. I live right across the street so I go there fairly often and choose this as one of my favorite places to meet up with friends. read more

Second visit and it just keeps getting better! The first visit was on day two. Food was great, but they were working with a limited menu and servers were learning the ropes. Two weeks later and they are running on all cylinders. Food is excellent, menu is well rounded and service was on spot. I glanced into their bar area and it is 'Prohibition' style. Looks upscale yet relaxing, but I cannot comment on the drinks or cliental as it was too early. Not impressed with the quality of the food. I ordered shrimp tacos in lettuce wrap and the lettuce was brown on the edges. You can count 2 to 3 shrimps per taco. It was more slaw than anything. Husband had the chopped salad. He's still looking for the bacon. As appetizer we had the meatball. While the taste was just 'ok' the texture was quite dense! First time here and I was not impressed. It didn't help that service was slow and there were only 3 tables. Don't know if I'll return. read more

We went here for my husbands birthday and were not disappointed! The place is nice and cozy with a few tvs to watch sports, but not too loud at all. Usually when you go to a sports bar, you have to compromise on food. However, not here! The BBQ Jam Sliders that we split were wonderful and the Mac and cheese was creamy and delicious. We had been to Citizens Grill for their burgers and they were really good. My husband and I decided to venture off the burger menu and we were so pleased! I had the chicken Marsala, jalapeño creamed corn and green beans and boy was it delicious! My husband had the chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and broccoli. We truly enjoyed EVERYTHING. I ate the Shrimp & Grits. My wife ate the Chicken Fried Steak with asparagus & mashed potatoes & traditional gravy. For my part, this was hands down the BEST shrimp & grits that I have ever had. A little spice & a uniquely delicious taste. My mouth will not stop watering until I can come back. Similarly, my wife's meal was wonderful from the steak, gravy, mashed potatoes & asparagus. I sampled it all. The mashed potatoes were great every without gravy! How can that be? And, I couldn't believe that the asparagus had such great flavor. Steak was tender @ the small serving for her was just right. The food was so good, I totally forgot the great service.
