This is a great Chuy's. Consistently good quality food and service. I was here over Father's Day and really liked how the plates came out very hot. It's little things like that make this Chuy's stand out. It's also never overly crowded, and the food comes out quickly. Bill is reasonable and great value for the money. Went here for lunch on Wednesday with a friend and I was super impressed. The restaurant is a funky and fun mix of a 1950s diner and traditional Mexican food restaurant. The ceilings are covered in cool car parts and it is such an eye catching design--everywhere you look there is something new!! My friend and I were warmly greeted by our waitress and brought chips and salsa. OMG, their chips and salsa are so good, particularly the salsa! The salsa had just a hint of spice and I could not stop myself from eating it. It is like I knew I had food coming, but I did not care as the salsa and its deliciousness pulled me in. I flipped through the menu and could not decide between their ample selection of enchilada, tacos, salads, and special combos. With the suggestion of my friend I finally decided to get their chicka boom boom enchilada platter. The platter came with two enchiladas with pulled white chicken and a side of rice and beans. I opted for all beans instead of the rice--refried and charro beans. Everything was super delicious. I was a little mad at myself for eating so much chips and salsa because I really wanted to eat more of my entree. Thank God for to go boxes! I took my food home and it reheated so well. The environment of the restaurant is unique. The staff have always been super friendly and attentive. We used to have happy hour as a team for work and they always sat us promptly. The green dip is also so yummy but I didn't get a picture. There is a reason we went there at least once a month as a team. The place and staff are so inviting. We love this place! They offer some really unique entrees featuring green chilies that are amazing. Happy hour here is incredible. They have free endless queso with taco meat! Don't pass on the house frozen margarita. Unlike most TexMex restaurants, their drinks are reasonably priced and have great happy hour specials. The atmosphere is very Austin like--laid back and fun. Came here with the family, not my favorite place, but my son was craving a cheesy moster burrito. Place was not super packed, good social distancing, waiters wear facemask (no gloves). They have outdoor dining, and no waiting indoors they will text you once your tabke is ready. Food (For me is meh) but kiddos enjoy it. I had the Big as Burrito roasted chicken with the Hatch chili, the wife had the green chili enchiladas, kiddos cheesy burritos. To me this food more closely resembles New Mexico style, but not quite,again not my favorite place. We have been Chuy's fans for many years. We have tried to be patient through the Covid era. Missed orders, lack of drink service, and overall lack of attention have become the norm for this location. Today, we waited five to ten minutes in the lobby before I walked in to get help. Numerous employees walked by without acknowledging the 5 of us in the lobby. One wrote notes at the lobby podium before leaving. Upon my request, a gentleman wearing a training badge sat us. He seated another party, brought drinks, and took their order before coming to our table. Our food order was correct and the trainer was nice once he started at our table. Between very hit or miss service and the still limited menu, we find Mena's and Ananias a better choice most the time. read more

Shoutout to Andrew and the crew here at Chuy's. Andrew was polite, energetic, and attentive. The staff is friendly and efficient. The staff wears masks and hand sanitizer is provided. The paper menu and scanner code are both great for keeping down the germs. They have warm chips, delicious salsa, and spicy ranch sauce as appetizers. This is one of our favorite salsas in town! Our order came very fast. Chicken enchiladas with green sauce was for hubby. I had cheese and beef enchiladas with boom boom sauce. I love their beans and rice as they add so much richness to the entree. I am super picky so that says a lot. The sweet tea and coffee were a nice refresher with the meal. Having lunch here at Chuy's Mexican Restaurant, Plano TX. We ordered combo Fajitas for two. My daughter in law ordered Special Nachos. Our son ordered Chicken Burrito and a cup of tortilla soup. The combo Fajitas, chicken and beef combine is well grilled, soft and moist. Combined with pico de gallo, guacamole on a corn soft tortilla taste great. But they forgot to give us rice and beans? Special nacho chips are much bigger in size and well mixed with lots of cheese, jalapeños, sliced lettuce and tomatoes. It's delicious. The tortilla soup on a cup is small serving and pricey at $4.49/order. But the soup taste good. The Beef burrito is humongous and looks appetizing. My son, who's a big eater couldn't even finish it. Nice young man had seated us right away and our waitress came to our table shortly after. She brought us chips/salsa/Jalapeño creamy sauce and our drinks. We ordered Baja Taco(grilled shrimp/rice/pico de gallo/refried beans)and Elvis Presley Memorial. Always a fan of chuys! We regularly visit the tollway location in Plano! Service is always a smile. Jalapeño ranch is to die for and combined with the thin crispy chips...I rarely make it to my meal. Server came by to check on us, gave us our water/took drink & appetizer orders. We did not see the queso we ordered for an hour after we sat down. We did not get our drink orders until after we finished eating completely, which at that point was 2 1/2 hours. Server was lovely and definitely wasn't his fault, but when he asked the manager to comp our drinks, the manager refused. When you get your chips always ask for jalapeño ranch. This ranch is the most delicious sauce ever. Their salsa for the chips is also tasty. I ordered stacked enchiladas. This huge plate came with tomatillo sauce on top (not spicy, just added some flavor) and beans/rice on the side. Not only did the food come out quick but it was nice and hot.
