Excellent modern Italian. Burratta and shrimp Alfredo were amazing. Highly recommend.

Wish I could give 6 stars! Food was amazing! I'm a certified executive chef and this was one of the best meals I've had in a while. Ashley our server was awesome and super helpful. Ordered her recommendation on everything. The chef special - chicken breast with Gorgonzola sauce! Outstanding! The drinks were amazing. Great job by the bartender! We travel to Franklin for business frequently and will definitely be back. Great job! read more

It has been awhile since I have been to Chrysalis and they did not disappoint. I was skeptical based on the January reviews but I should not have been. I showed up No reservation and they were busy. They worked me into the bar. Caesar salad and Shrimp Alfredo- the best. It was soooo good! I will be back! Don't be swayed by the January reviews. read more

The only positive thing I can say about this place is the salads were yummy. All four of us didn't like our entrees at all. The braised beef short ribs were way too grisly and hardly anything on plate for the price point. The pasta was mediocre, the Choppino bland and disappointing. Really bummed, was hoping to find a new gem! We left 15 minutes ago and both my husband and my stomachs are feeling sour. read more

Absolutely one of our new favorite new places. Wonderfull food. Great vibe. And the best of all is Brenner. He is a gem. He was so helpful and knowledgeable we took a lot of his recommendations and we all were not disappointed. read more

Love this local restaurant. Great food and service. Yummy customizable charcuterie platters.

As an Italian citizen and having a very good understanding of Italian cuisine this place needs to pivot quickly to better representation of Italian food. Ingredient quality, simplicity and sticking to basics. We did go in the first few days they were open and I must say first they were very nice people. At this time we want all small businesses to succeed but I need to be truthful in hopes they take advice. Had the pasta with porchetta which I thought was interesting. The pork was very fatty and not able to eat, the pasta was over cooked and stuck all together. My son had Quattro cheese dish and it was one clump of pasta. Obviously not using the pasta water to make it lose. Another issue is the sauces they use are over sauced and not "stained" and making the pasta the star. I know we are in America but pasta in chicken is not modern Italian because no Italian would put chicken with pasta . It's not modern it's just taboo and not something that should be done. Like putting Mayo with pulled pork instead of BBQ sauce. Overall the pastas were underwhelming and just not good. Drink menu was nice and wine by the glass was a little pricey too... Franklin has Zero Italian restaurants and this place if they stayed on the basics instead of trying to make twists on stuff that is not Italian at all is not something that will scale. There are so many beautiful simple Italian dishes that people love and can't get here but making American dish / modern twist is just an interesting concept when it's not needed. I am willing to try again in the future when they polish their menu and presentation. Once again wish them success but as of today they need to make some changes read more

My family and I have been coming to this restaurant since it opened. We love the fresh food and the take on Italian food. Our last visit was good. The drinks were solid, the server was excellent, and the food was tasty, however, we noticed that the pasta bowl portions have been considerably reduced while the prices have stayed the same, and in some cases, even increased. I understand the rise in prices, but don't cut what was already a decent portion. read more

This quickly became our favorite restaurant in the Nashville area! Every time we go, we are impressed at the service and quality of food. Overall a great experience and delicious food and drinks! Definitely a must for anyone in the area to try! read more

I'm not fake. Your food is horrible. Whatever truffle appetizer you served me was despicable. Order the truffle appetizer and judge for yourself. read more

The service was great and we didn't wait long for our food either. We really enjoyed our pasta but the charcuterie left us wanting more, mostly because of the seasoned bread that came with it. It took away from the flavors of other things you'd put on top, like cheese, spreads and such. read more

Great food. Amazing service and ambiance. We enjoyed our night there. Hopefully they keep their quality as is.

Pasta with sauce was full of grease. Not the best Italian food. Service was fine. Ambiance is fine too. Maybe we got the wrong dishes.

We had dinner there last night. It was a decent modern Italian restaurant with very limited menu. I had the pasta with different cheeses along with their focaccia bread which was outstanding!! Finished it with the Liomoncello dessert. It was good! Will recommend if you are up for something different.. read more

One word - phenomenon. The food was fresh, creative, flavorful & delicious. Both the Vodka Diavolo w/gnocchi entree & Marsala entree were a beautiful blend of delightful flavors yet not too rich. Love that the pasta is made in house too. The Triple Chocolate Trifle melts in your mouth- so light & rich all at the same time. We will return for sure! read more

We dined here in July and the restaurant is located in a small strip mall. The decor is really nice, relaxing and tables are nice. It was easy to have a conversation with our party of 4. I must say...our server, Brenner, who seemed like a nice guy however he continuously was rushing us the entire time for our orders after just getting there and it seemed the only time he checked on us was to take our drink order and then was trying to rush us for our dinner order and while we were still eating came around asking for our dessert order and I just about lost it! Any other time, he was not attentive. The food was pretty good, although the dish I ordered Salmone Al Limone needed something more. I feel a different pasta would've been better too. I ended up getting another sauce with pesto becuz mine was rather bland. My husband got the Alfredo pasta with shrimp that he really liked. The cocktails were really good! We each got a dessert and they were well portioned and the presentation was nice. The cannoli was the best! I ordered the bread pudding that wasn't that great that was dolloped with strawberry compote that tasted more like jam and there is a difference between the two. I definitely recommend this restaurant and I would probably give Brenner another chance. read more

Nice newer restaurant, the menu had a good selection of charcuterie but they could add more to the entrees. The bread pudding was delicious, I would go back just for that. read more

Very unique food option. We took the suggestions of our waitress on appetizer, entree and drinks and were very happy with the selections.

Had a great experience here for dinner. Service was excellent, everyone was very friendly and helpful. We got a charcuterie board with a variety of salamis and cheeses, was fantastic. My wife had the watermelon and goat cheese appetizer for dinner, and my daughter and I both had pasta dishes. All were very good. Definitely recommend this place! read more

Wow wow wow!!!! Seriously if you are anywhere in The Nashville area go and give this restaurant a try. I've been twice for much needed date nights since they opened. (I also have a newborn and toddler twins at home) Both times I left excited to come back and try another dish. Plus they were awaiting their liquor license so while the beer selection was great, I'm super excited to try their mixed drinks and wine with my next meal. (Which I'm pretty sure they have their license now so I'll be popping in soon) So even more of a reason for a return visit. Everything on their menu sounds so good and everything I have tried has just been top notch! The food is familiar but yet it has its own twist and amazing flavor. You can try all the main dishes as either a flatbread, pasta dish, or on a panini. And you can create your own charcuterie board so you don't have to worry about there being items on it you end up not eating. Such a cool concept. And the desserts!!!!!!! I'm craving the tiramisu and can't wait to get some of that again. The atmosphere is calm and cozy and clean! I love the decor and overall feel of the theme. It's just beautiful! I'm so glad to have a non chain option in Brentwood owned by a local Nashvillian who is so kind and super passionate about his offerings! (The owner stopped by to make sure all was well and chatted with us for a bit. It was easy to see he is so knowledgeable and has really put his heart into making this restaurant come to life) Support local and check this place out! I just wish I would have taken a picture but I couldn't wait to dig into every dish so I had messed up the beautiful presentation before I remembered to take one lol. So I guess you just need to go and see it for yourself. read more

So good and different. Loved the Italian 75 drink. The main menu can be ordered in a flatbread, panini or with pasta. I had the flatbread. So flavorful. Service was great. Hubby got his order mixed up and owner came right away to make it right. We will be back. read more

The Alfredo and Salmon were delicious. The bartender made a good mocktail, and Ashley was helpful for two people that were struggling to make a decision. read more

Food marginal, service terrible and wait very long with no explanation. Setting was nothing special.

We needed reservations but we're fortunately able to sit at the the bar. Had amazing drinks. Food was phenomenal. Highly recommend.

This place has been the best restaurant my husband and I have went to here in Franklin, hands down. The Alfredo was amazing and I don't say that often. The trout was wonderful; fresh. The service was OUTSTANDING. Just all around a great place from the atmosphere to the service and more importantly the food was great. My coworker talked this place up all week and my husband and I decided to stop in for lunch. Super pleased. 100% feel good about recommending this place. read more

The food was great! Service was amazing! Thanks to Brenner and the others for a delicious meal after a long day on the road.

It's "Supposed" to be an Italian restaurent... the pasta was bland ... even I can cook pasta sauce better than they did ... I'm back to NORTH ITALIA where it's AMAZING!!! read more

This place was unbelievable! Everything that we ate was fantastic. High quality ingredients and highly customizable. Each dish you can have made different ways which means there are so many combinations. It will keep you coming back trying it other ways. The ambience is very relaxing and romantic and the dishes are very well thought out and beautiful! If you want amazing Italian, and a unique new approach then just the normal Italian try this place out. You will not be sorry! No idea how someone rated it Low. Must be competition cause this place is phenomenal! Mike and Court read more

Other than San Francisco the cioppino is the best I've ever had. The tapas selection was great and I really liked the pickled grapes. Will definitely return! read more

A very enjoyable experience. The atmosphere and service was very welcoming. Our server was very informative on the menu and answered every question we had. The food was prepared beautifully and was devine. We had the chartreuse plate, the pork loin marsala, the quattro formaggio, the cannoli and the tiramisu. All were fresh and spot on! The owner and general manager were both very friendly and welcoming. 5 stars all the way! read more

It was very good food (we had tapas) and drinks were good. Only issue is overall expense. Particularly the cost of wine and cocktails (6 ounce glass of, one of the least expensive wine was $12). Bourbon cocktail was $15. I understand inflation has huge impact and I also understand the Franklin/Brentwood adds to that read more

Great food! Amazing service! Nice atmosphere, very lively. I had the pasta bolognese, my daughter had the fettuccine alfredo. Both dishes were very flavorful and well presented. We had bread pudding for dessert. They used strawberries and carmel for the glaze/sauce, which was a new experience for me. Absolutely delicious! Did have to finish out with a Fernet&Campari which was an interesting flavor. On top of all this goodness, during the meal, I noticed my cell phone was almost out of power, we were relying on Uber for getting to and from. The server was so kind and helpful in getting me hooked up with a charger during our visit. Thank you so much for the lovely dinner and hospitality. Definitely a place I will return on my next visit to Franklin. read more

Pretty good overall. Been here three times. First two times were quite good. I selected good dishes, especially the elk amd meatballs. Third was not as good. Both of our entrees were not good quite frankly. Meatballs were still good though. Bar service was slow and not particularly kind. Two good visits and one bad one. read more

Went here for my birthday and everyone was very accommodating. I can not recommend this restaurant enough and am a huge fan of Ben and his creativity. I especially love that they carry Malort. Anyone familiar with Chicago knows this is a delicacy. I recommend ordering your favorite person a shot of it. Also their charcuterie selection is phenomenal and I could eat that Focaccia bread everyday. read more
