My wife and I tried this place last night for our date night. The food was delicious, the restaurant itself was nicely decorated and the lighting created a nice setting. The highlight was the dessert, the espresso paired with the ice cream in a way that made her and I talk about it a good portion of our drive home. Will definitely come back next time we are in the Franklin area. Our server was very friendly and all staff were quite welcoming. read more

Hannah was refreshing! Gluten free pasta choices and fresh ingredients made our dinner a superb selection. Homemade bread and sweet potato gnocchi, yum! We made a 3 hr drive and found this gem. Ambiance was low key and modern, service top tier. We will be back. read more

Service and hospitality were great. The bartender was a little too busy chatting to tend to our drinks that took about 25 minutes to get out to us. The food was pretty good, it was a typical take of a modern Italian food place. Some flavors worked, some didn't. All and all a nice experience. We will file it under--if someone invite to dinner and it is here, we will go. But if we invite someone out to dinner we probably aren't picking this place. read more

First time at this local (for us) Italian place on Carothers, and it's an absolute delight. Real attention to quality products on the table, short but well focused wine list (and craft cocktails) and attentive, friendly service. These restauranteurs have caught the magic and show it consistently throughout the meal. Our niece, recently returned from Italy, gave two thumbs up on the "choose your own" piatto and my flank steak was grilled perfection. If you are neighborhood dweller in Cool Springs or Franklin as we are, go right now and enjoy this gem. Our only regret was that it took us a few months to find it. We need more thoughtful, neighborhood- focused, well executed, non-corporate owned dining here in the area. These folks deliver and are worthy of your support. Highly recommended. read more

Chrysalis - Piatto, magnifico! - Italian Near Me - Franklin, Tennessee

Great ambience, staff is welcoming and full of kindness, great food and always changing.

I found them a little over a year ago. What I like most is that they are very consistent. Vodka Diavolo is my go to when in a hurry, espresso rubbed elk rack when I have time to relax. I am a regular, for a reason. The service is very personal, but when they get busy they are a little hurried. It's just hard to find enough people these days. Ben behind the bar is a true mixologist, and part of the fun - he is quite an entertainer. read more

The food was outstanding as always. The prime rib special was extra special. Our server, Brenner, was terrific! We highly recommend.

Maybe it was a bad night, but we found food to be below average. Had a group of 8, no one loved their food. Not much in the way of kids food & we had 2 hungry ones. The meatball app was awful- seriously smelled like dog food. I like to give good Reviews, but we went here based on the reviews and they did not match up to the restaurant food. I'm being kind by giving three stars but again, maybe it was a bad night. Sorry. read more

Oh my I'm in LOVE!! The vibe, the staff, the drinks, the food.. so many great things! New favorite place! read more

Hip, interesting spot albeit in somewhat of a highly commercial area. Somewhat crowded and loud. First visit I was limited to entree and dessert, so will gladly have to go back for cocktails and appetizers some time. Pastas are smart and filling. As basic as this sounds, the Alfredo delivers; highly recommend. The Tiramisu is large, appropriately priced, and is exactly what it should be. They nailed the execution and customers get what they expect. read more

Outstanding. Just eat here. You'll be so happy! And you'll return constantly! Food is delicious, fresh, beautifully plated and served. Environment is lovely. Very comfortable. I've dined here solo and with my husband; have also seen large parties here. The Owner Andrew is wonderful. He is nice, accommodating, and good humored. Molly, my waitstaff twice, is outstanding. I live in Austin and so wish Andrew would open another restaurant there! read more

I've chased Italian food across Nashville, and never found the right place until I landed for a few dinners at Chrysalis! The staples are awesome, love the Vodka DiaVolo, and the specials are always amazing, i.e. -- Osso Bucci or Elk Chops. I'm sold! read more

Outstanding !!!! We tried the Scampi bruschetta, margarita pizza, salmon dilemone, margarita pizza..... everything was so delicious!!!!! Highly recommend this place as we were just passing through...... read more

We made reservations the weekend before Valentine's Day and got an adorable table behind a half wall when we arrived. It felt cozy but we could see everything going on. The service was awesome and the food even better. Everything was very fresh and honestly reminded us of the slower pace of meals that are actually in Italy. The owner was out running food and seemed appreciative to have his business thriving. Also, their version of an old fashioned was very refreshing. We will be back soon! read more

Chrysalis - The Burrata - Italian Near Me - Franklin, Tennessee

After our first visit a few weeks ago, I almost reviewed, but decided to wait until after we had been again. Now, don't get me wrong - the first visit was way better than the second visit. Oddly, we were seated at the exact same booth and had the exact same server. I wish we had ordered the exact same thing, but we changed it up a little. Bread for two - excellent on both visits - great olive oil. Crab stuffed portabella mushroom - excellent first time - good, though considerably smaller the second time. Limoncello tiramisu - that's my wife's thing. We shared, it was fine, she loved it. Here is where we messed up. First visit we split a pasta (homemade noodles) with marinara and meatballs. It was good, but I am a stickler for al dente noodles - these were overly done. On this visit she told me to choose so I went with the chicken alfredo. Don't do it! The chicken was WAY overcooked - almost burnt around the extremities. I got only slightly less dry the thicker it got, but still bad. Obviously not cooked to order. Again we went with the homemade (sic) spaghetti noodles. Still overcooked - way overcooked. To make it worse, what I thought was another errant piece of chicken down in the pasta was actually a big clump or pasta where the noodles were fused together. We both have marked this off of our future visit list and retracted our recommendation to family and friends. We drove here from Mt. Juliet as destination dining. read more

Food was AMAZING. We had the pork tenderloin special and a dish with fresh pasta, chicken, sage, mushrooms and more. Service was excellent read more

I hate reviewing negative thing but you guys need work on the braised short rib. I never had dry thin meat like that before unless it was at applebees or something. I've had short rib a lot so this definitely was the worst. read more

Great Italian food in Cool Springs. From the craft cocktails, choose your own charcuterie board, main dishes and desserts, everything was very good. They also have gluten free pasta. The service was a little slower pace, which we like but just wanted to make aware in case you are in a hurry. Will definitely visit again. read more

Great evening...almost great food. The bread for Bruschetta sucked really. Everything else was delicious but this would be top notch if they get their breads tasting like it should be...maybe it was an off night. read more

Love love love everything here. My most fav is Burrata. The vibe is great and service is always amazing. Highly recommend.

You just gotta go. Amazing service, thank you Brenner. The chef is off the chart and I would put her up against any place in the world. Food is fresh and beyond flavor. Must finish with the Affagato. read more

The food and service were amazing. It was a great experience and we will definitely be returning for the charcuterie board. Just get one of everything, you won't be disappointed. read more

My family went for my birthday. The service was great and the food was fantastic. However, it was so loud in the restaurant that we could hardly have a conversation. My husband had a headache and went to sit in the car before his entree arrived. There were several large loud tables in the center of the room so this may have just been a bad night. read more

Chrysalis was a great dining experience! The atmosphere is so modern and pretty. I came in for girls night with my friend and we had cocktails, which were delicious! The espresso martini was on point. I had pasta for my main and it was delicious and flavorful. I split tiramisu with my friend for dessert and it was light and tasty, along with a vanilla latte. I would return again--everything was exceptional! One of my favorite new hidden gems in Franklin. read more

The small plates are incredible to share, and the wait staff are very knowledgeable. Never leave without having their meatballs.

Chrysalis was recommended by some friends who are real foodies and it did not disappoint! We enjoyed the ambience sitting at the bar on a date night but plan to go back with friends and/or our family. The food is excellent- we loved the charcuterie board, the vodka pasta, and the limoncello dessert especially! They also have delicious cocktails (the Take Me Home in particular) and a well curated wine list for any palate! The service was excellent- we got great input from our servers/bartenders Lebo & Ben. They really helped us make choices specific to our tastes and made our dining experience so much fun! read more

The food was fantastic, I had the shrimp fettuccine Alfredo and can't stop thinking about it!

Great food and the people are awesome! One of the few restaurants I frequent monthly in Franklin.

Excellent food, the service was friendly and excellent. Bar drinks were exceptional.

Delicious and a great environment. I loved the decor and the food quality was amazing.

We wanted to try Chrysalis the minute we saw the menu and they didn't disappoint! There is only one reason we didn't absolutely 5 stars love this amazing place...the environment and noise. It was super small and extremely loud. That was our only complaint. Without going into every flavor and detail: Wait staff: Phenomenal! Wine selection: Fabulous! Food: UNFORGETABLE! Fresh, flavorful, well-plated, and incredibly delicious! Piatto: Life changing. Dessert: A must-have tiramisu! If you're not already looking at the menu, and you're still reading, so I know you're not, you're not doing right! We'll be back. read more

A little gem with many choices and experiences on their menu. Bartender was a class act and had wonderful recommendations.

I highly recommend this amazing place! My husband and I have been many times and have never been disappointed. From the friendly, welcoming staff to the creative, palate pleasing menu items to the quite frankly amazing cocktails......Chrysalis has it all! Way to go Andrew and team!! read more

Get the eggplant appetizer!! Delish!!! Great drinks at the bar. Very pleased. I've been twice in two days.

Excellent food, drinks and service. A relaxed and friendly environment. Highly recommended!

We stopped by by this evening. The muscles were rubbery, the vodka pasta with shrimp had 4 U20 shrimp and a sauce so spicy it masked all flavor that may have been there. My wife had the extremely fatty short ribs. These were under cooked and tough. Service was spotty at best. Will not return. read more

The food was great! I had kale salad and tried the polenta, I recommend both dishes. The tiramisu was also very good. The ambiance was perfect, it was not too loud, and the restaurant has a nice decor. The only drawback was related to the service. The waiter removed some of the plates before all of us had finished our meals. Plates should only be removed after everyone is done eating. Otherwise the party members that are still eating feel uncomfortable and rushed. Please review this rule with your staff. read more

Absolutely delicious! I got the Vodka Diavolo Pasta with gluten free fusilli and it was by far one of the best gluten free pasta dishes I've ever had. It was so flavorful. Loved the ambiance and how intimate the restaurant was. We will definitely be back! read more

We have been in the Cool Springs area for almost 5 years and have only just discovered Chrysalis. Not sure how we have missed it. We sat at the bar and had a great experience. Service was awesome. Great craft cocktails. We shared the Caesar salad, scampi bruschetta, and cioppino. Also. Have to order the bread to sop up all the great flavor from the cioppino broth. Highly recommend. We will be back for sure. read more

First time here and so glad we came! Lebo was such an awesome server. Very Attentive, knowledgeable, and such a great personality! So Happy to support a local business and one with really good food in Franklin. Also it's great to come somewhere that's not Downtown! Will definitely be back especially for the vodka pasta dish as REAL authentic lemonchello!! read more
