Updating my fabulous review to one star. The service was sooo bad. Like horrible. We had a reservation but they couldn't handle the volume of people that were there. Which means they need to either not seat so many tables or take less reservations. The food was nothing like it use to be. I'm guessing either the chef or ownership changed since the last time I was there. read more

The service here is great. The cocktail and drink prices were much more affordable than expected especially for the area. Pasta was fresh.

This restaurant is newer and has a cool atmosphere. It is very noisy. They have some really delicious cocktails. The service is very good. Some of the dishes are great, some are average. read more

This is the 2nd time we've been here and each time was enjoyable. Would definitely recommend! Food: Food has really great flavor and the portion size isn't overwhelming but leaves you satisfied. Menu has nice array of choices Atmosphere: The overall atmosphere is casual. Service: We had a nice waitress who was helpful. The one thing I will mention is that both times I've been here I've noticed the servers seem stretched too thin with too many tables. They look rushed and it appears difficult for them to keep up. This would be the only reason keeping it from a 5 star. read more

Sadly a poor experience. I've eaten here prior; it's been at least three years ago and it was excellent and the owner was so nice. Tonight the service was sparse; not sure who my server was but one was responsive while the other who told me she was my server never showed up. The goat cheese salad was so hot it burned my mouth. To get it to stop burning I ordered bread--and paid for it! Mocktail was meh--the watermelon one. Nearly empty but possible short staffed? Disappointed. I won't be back. read more

We really enjoyed ourselves at Chrysalis! Started with a crab stuffed Portabello mushroom that was unique and delicious. We really enjoyed the Diavolo pasta and shrimp. Finished it all off with a scrumptious Limoncello trifle. It was my wife's birthday and the waitress joined me in a chorus of "Happy Birthday ". A totally delightful evening! read more

Service was 5 stars Old Fashioned was 4 stars Wine selection was good The bread is very important in any Italian restaurant and the Bread For Two was super dry and tasted old. Our server Felicia, who was awesome, replaced our first bread offering and while it was softer it was still very dry with the focaccia needing to take a drink in order to get it down. Burrata appetizer was a 5 star offering with the onion jam adding a scrumptious touch. The Coffee rubbed elk rib was a 4 star offering but pairing with the parsnips turned it into a 3 star offering. A better choice might be garlic mashed potatoes or a risotto. The parsnips were too "sweet" to balance out the richness of the elk. The asparagus was perhaps not the right choice for this time of year. Veal Milanese had fabulous flavor but was tough and the over breaded veal soaked up a lot of oil. The broccolini was fabulous. The peach panna cotta was also very good. . read more

10 stars! This place was fantastic in all aspects. Amazing cocktails, really great food, wonderful service. We came here on a whim from out of town while visiting friends. I wish we lived close as we would absolutely be regulars here. Loved it! read more

It was our first time to eat at Chrysalis. My husband and I were welcomed by a sweet & fabulous server! She helped explain the menu. We ordered several tapas, bread, soup- tomato bisque. All homemade and so yummy!! The ambiance was so fun! It was incredible & highly recommend!! We will be back! read more

I have been coming to Chrysalis since they opened. I've enjoyed numerous dishes they've had on their ever changing menu. I love that they change the menu so often it keeps things fresh and a surprise. Over all the place is a vibe but it would be kind of nice if they had a couch sitting area to have just drinks and apps not a whole meal, and at night mood lighting would be cool. With a wonderful authentic food they have it would be nice to be transported to Italy through The Resturant. read more

My first time to enjoy Chrysalis exceeded my expectations! Hannah, my server, was an all-star. The contemporary Italian menu of small plates, pastas and a Chef's selection of entree dishes offers an ample choice for any diner. Cocktails, served to the table by one of the congenial owners, were memorable. For a special occasion or just a casual dinner, Chrysalis is highly recommended. read more

Went to Chrysalis, arrived early for our reservation so we decided to have a cocktail at the bar. The bartenders Felicia and Ben are extremely knowledgeable and so friendly, we were kinda sad to leave them for our table. They do create some delicious cocktails and recommend the Blood Moon Rising. We left the bar and our server Brenner was outstanding, explaining the various options, making recommendations, and helping us choose in the end. What's cool about this place is you can "create your own" charcuterie plate with about 25 different items. While everything was good, highly recommend the Humboldt Fog goat milk cheese that is a Blue Cheese wanna-be with a smooth creamy texture and a light blue cheese flavor. The Fig Jam is incredible and I would buy this in a jar. If there is an appetizer you should choose...it would be the Burrata. This is a complex dish combined so many flavors, none of which canceled or clashed with the other. The flavors all work, and we even added some of the fig jam and pickled grapes to the mix creating even more flavor combinations. I went with the special and was not disappointed...a seared rack of lamb with baby heirloom root vegetables in a Marsala and Cabernet demi glaze. The lamb was perfect, the root vegetables al dente, and when dipped into the glaze made this one of the best lamb dishes I've ever enjoyed. The full house salad is a meal in itself and the prosecco vinaigrette was a perfect match to the fresh greens. For dessert some Pina Colada Panna Cotta, very sweet and tasted just like the drink. Need to return and actually try some of the pasta...with all of the wonderful items we had we realized we didn't have any pasta dishes. Highly recommend this spot...they offer creative food, exceptional service, in a very comfortable atmosphere. read more

Tried this spot for the first time tonight. The inside is very cute and well decorated. We had a drink at the bar while waiting for a booth. The Manager was very nice and apologized even though we were early for our reservation and only had to wait for a bit. Once we sat we started with the bread for two and it was soooooo good! I love a good bread! Came with delicious softened butter and EVOO dip. I really enjoyed the house salad since it had nuts and pickled onions, very tasty. My husband had the monkfish dish which was good but the risotto was a little bland. The only thing I didn't love was my bruschetta - the crostini it came on was soggy and not toasted and the dish was very lemony... too lemony for me. I'd love to try pasta next time, that's probably the best bet. The flatbread pizzas also looked amazing on other diner's tables. read more

I wanted this to be 5 stars- really more 3.5. Food was good- nothing was great. Halibut was fresh but a tad dry. Pizza/flabreads- good, not great. Arugula goat cheese salad was amazing- my favorite food we had. Probably won't be back with the high prices and just "good" food read more

Who the hell could could have even consider giving a Five Star review for an Italian restaurant in Brentwood, Tennessee? Sure, Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, San Francisco - no problem! But Brentwood, Tennessee - really? Well, here it goes: After a full day of golf, in a tournament I had no idea was taking place, us four souls did pretty damn good. Of course, drinks at the clubs bar and guys carrying on like guys do, our host said let's BOLT and get dinner. We drive a few miles to Chrysalis Italian restaurant, got a drink at the bar and waited for a table (as this place was packed). Tennessee people being Tennessee people we all started talking (at the bar) football, golf, parenthood and life in general. Our table opened and that's when the surprise took place. I ordered a Caesar Salad (of course). The burrata salad and Italian bread basket followed. All was excellent. Then mains came out: Pasta Bolognese Saltimbocca Pasta Short Ribs Were just flat out wonderful! Our Paring Bordeaux red blend paired perfectly with this meal. A giant wedge of Tiramisu for dessert just kicked out meal in the stratosphere. A shot of Disaronni liquor ended this beautiful meal on an exceptional high note. What a day - perfect fall weather, golf at its best, a perfect foursome so compatible it worked in every way and this fantastic dinner at Chryslalis. One of my better days in 2023 for sure! Thank you Zavior! read more

We had such a great time at Chrysalis! We made a same-day reservation for a Friday night dinner and got a lovely booth to sit at. First time going, and the restaurant was just glowing. We loved the decor, the light, the cozy yet roomy space, all of it! Our server was so friendly and made great recommendations. We ordered: - Bread for Two-- the focaccia was so nice!! - Scampi Bruschetta - Later Alligator and Punch Drunk house cocktails - We got the Lamb Osso special, recommended by our server! And the tagliatelle bolognese. Everything was delicious and came out so nicely presented as well. We were too full for dessert but were thrilled to have a special night at Chrysalis! read more

Came into town for a short weekend trip and was recommended this place through Yelp. We had a reservation but ended up being about 30 minutes early and the staff and owner were so accommodating and welcoming that we were seated immediately. At first glance, the restaurant is modern with lovely design elements that bring it to life. And the food was truly as wonderful and as delicious as the staff said it would be. Unfortunately I forgot the owner and our server's name; however, they were attentive and friendly throughout our meal. Based on our server's recommendations, we had the made to order charcuterie board, fresh baked focaccia bread, mussels, and the vodka diavolo pasta. Everything was absolutely delicious, came out promptly, and very fairly priced. Our dinner was the best meal I've had while visiting Nashville. Definitely give this place a try, it won't disappoint. read more

A few good things a few bad things. Starting with the good, build your own charcuterie, was probably the best part of the experience. Very fresh meats and cheeses delicious roasted garlic. The downside was the service. It took a while for our server to greet us , she just filled the water glass and left. Our friends were running a few minutes late and she didn't even offer for us to order a drink while we were waiting on them. The entrées for 3/4 of us all came out together. The three of us completely finished our meals and my friend's entree still had not arrived. She asked the server politely to check on her dinner to which the server replied. It's coming. It's all coming. I pointed out that the rest of us had completely finished our dinner and hers had yet to arrive. She then apologized and went to the kitchen and found out they had to remake it. We enjoyed the food we ordered. The drinks and wine were really good. The service was just really lacking. read more

Lamb chops were really good. Tiramisu was okay, not great. Wasn't as soft in the middle , you can tell it's been sitting in the fridge for a while. My friends got Carbonara pasta and weren't impressed. Service wasn't great but they seemed short staffed so can't blame the server for that one. I would come back for lamb chops but not for much more. read more
