Almost Egg white omelet. Nice veges in there.
karina k.

I ate here about two years ago while working at the Air Force Base in Layton, UT, and I wanted to remove my old review bc I enjoyed the cafe very much and appreciated their attentiveness and service and food. Loved the thin crispy has browns and lots of veggies in the omelette. Thank you Chris for following your dream. Nice owner and nice staff.

Steak omelette

Best omelette I have ever had. They had their special of the day- steak omelette and it was incredible. This thing was FILLED with steak. It also had peppers and onions and they were grilled perfectly. The hashbrowns were great... the scones were great... and the banana pancakes were fantastic. They even made chocolate chip pancakes for my kids. The decor is adorable, the scene was nice and it was only a 20 minute wait on the 4th of July morning. I was very impressed.

Solid food. Excellent service. This place is always super busy Saturday mornings but it's worth the wait.

Great food and even more amazing service. I wouldn't care if the staff did or didn't wear masks... Other people's fears are not mine.

Food is a fair price and has always been good when we've eaten here. It's usually our go to when eating out for breakfast.

The second time was uncomfortable because Karen was loudly spouting some pretty hateful and discriminatory opinions of political and religious nature. Normally I try to hold space for people's opinions. We learn a lot from each other just by listening, and it's nice to get an expanded perspective when we're open to other people's experiences and another point of view. BEANS is NOT this kind of environment. Sadly. It's like the owner is trying to out-Woke her own self. I'm lbgtq and disabled. What's happening here is not the kind of advocacy we need. We don't create safe spaces by hating on everyone who is not just exactly like us. Most of us just want to not have constant conflict, confrontation and political or social strife. Standing up for others rights is one thing. Intentionally creating discord is quite another. This experience is not great for anyone with anxiety, or needs peace and calm, with a sensory processing disorder or preference to avoid conflict. Hate doesn't need a seat at the table. Kind of done with that. I'm not coming back. The coffee is good though. So are the baked treats. Had a lot of potential.

I love to support a local coffee shop, so when I was passing through Clearfield, I made it a point…read moreto stop by Bean's Coffee. It definitely has the small business feel and hospitality; there was one person working the shop-taking orders, preparing the drinks and keeping things humming. I ordered a hot tea and a cake pop then learned that those cake pops are made onsite and are larger than any others I've seen. That's kind of a fun claim to fame. One of the walls is impressively stocked with shelves of different syrups, so you can request any wild combination of flavors to make your drink your very own-something I know locals really appreciate and order frequently. The ambience was ok-they were decorated for Christmas with all things grinch related. We might have come just as they were moving inventory, because there were lots of boxes stacked up in the seating area and a big ladder off to the side. There are different seating arrangements-tables and chairs as well as larger chairs along the walls to invite you to stay awhile. On another wall, there are gift-shop type trinkets, coffee you can buy and take back home and some jewelry items. I always like to browse these things, especially when they are from local artisans.

New location for Scooter's coffee in Clearfield. Getting to this location is easy, but the hardest…read morepart of it is the process of parking to walk-up to the order area or even to get to the drive thru. I believe there is only maybe 5-8 parking spots but you would have to maneuver around the drive thru line to get into them. If you do go to this location, please be aware of this and do not go when it's packed if you're looking to go to the walk-up window. We got to try the latte with oat milk and the matcha latte. The latte was okay and the matcha disappointed me. Mainly because for the matcha, I asked the person taking my order at the walk-up window if the matcha powder was sweetened or unsweetened and she said it was unsweetened. I was so happy to know that it comes unsweetened so I ordered one. Little do you know...it was sweetened. I am so disappointed. The person that took my order pretty much lied to me and was not knowledgeable about the products being sold. If you like sweet matcha latte, I would suggest getting it, but if you're like me looking for unsweetened, look elsewhere. I deducted two stars for parking and one for not knowing the products being given.

Daily Rise is an excellent source for local, recently roasted beans. It's brilliant than you can…read moreget a bag with the date it was roasted written on the bag by hand, and the bag I got from Harmon's yesterday was roasted about a week ago. That's about as good as you'll ever find for something on a Utah store shelf--especially valuable here where it can be hard to find quality roast in lots of Utah towns. The espresso roast has a rich full medium roast flavor, with some bite and with lots of nutty aftertaste. The beans don't have visible oil, even freshly roasted, so they are easy to weigh accurately for grams per volume in your your portafilter, and they go through your grinder smoothly. I like to try whatever local roasts I can find, but Daily Rise combines the freshness of the roast, the exceptional flavor that results, and the consistency for your machine. Probably I have found my new daily standard. Daily Rise espresso roast is called a medium roast and is roasted to the right level for Italian style espresso, even though most espresso roasts are called a dark roast. Daily Rise seems to reserve the dark roast label for their French roast, and French roast needs to be a way darker roast than an Italian espresso roast, so that makes sense.

It all starts with our San Franciscan 25 pound batch roaster. This machine is small enough to allow us to be a small coffee micro-roaster and hand pick out any defects post-roast, yet large enough to produce upwards of 500+ pounds of fresh coffee beans per day to keep up with demand. In addition to this machine, we found we needed a place to cup, taste and evaluate our coffee. This is the reason behind our custom designed cupping bar layout allowing us to invite the public to experience and enjoy the true, yet complex dynamics surrounding the coffee bean in its purest form. The difference between Daily Rise Roasting Company and other roasters can be experienced as well as tasted.
