My girlfriend and I were adventuring and wanted to get a bite to eat after exploring Huntsville. We came across Scallywag, and the unique names that matched the restaurant name definitely caught our eyes! Lo and behold, it was worth the gander! We were greeted at the window promptly by the owner! He asked how we were doing and about our day before even getting to our orders, talk about friendly! He treated us as if we were old friends. We asked about the menu and what some of the popular choices are, and he told us about the history of Scallywag's. I got the Heave Ho, and it turns out that's one that often gets overlooked. It was delectable! My girlfriend got The Man Overboard, and both of us finished our burgers in what felt like record time! Compliments to the husband and wife team manning the ship! They make some killer burgers! Can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu!

My husband and I were visiting another business in Eden and happened to drive by this place. The bus caught our eye, so we decided to check it out. It ended up being a delicious fast food restaurant! The entrance is towards the left of the bus with a big sign that says "ENTER." Follow the arrows to the drive thru where you'll see their menu. Once you're ready, pull forward to the window to place your order. My husband and I ordered a Man Overboard burger and a Calico Jack burger. We were going to order fries as well, but to our surprise, fries came with the burgers. They have a large selection of mixed soda drinks, but my husband and I just ordered two bottles of water. There's very limited covered seating outside, we we just drive over to the grocery store and inhaled our food in our car. We were very surprised when we tried the fried. They are definitely doubled fried (at least) and have a delicious crunch on the outside while being soft on the inside. They are my most favorite fries hands down! The fry sauce was delicious too and next time I'll ask for more of it. My husband's burger was so juicy and flavorful! He absolutely loved it and thought the size was fantastic. My burger was really good, but I would like to give more of their burgers a try. If we drive to Eden again, we are definitely stopping by! The food was delicious and the employee was great! We overall enjoyed our food and experience.

Open!!! Come get a burger or sandwich! Love the outdoor vibes - but honestly, it's a drive thru with fun drinks. The FOOD IS GOOD! Just a little pricey for what you get. Fries were hot and really crunchy, fresh, not greasy. Burgers done just right with fun toppings. Great place to grab breakfast or lunch on the way to go skiing or biking. Really fast and friendly service. We'll be back to try the breakfast burritos. Yeah!!

We waited about a half hour to sit but it didn't feel long. I sat next to the cute bear they have in the waiting area/lobby. SERVICE: The servers there were quick to take our orders! The food did take awhile to come out though. But I get it as it seemed to be understaffed. I wished they had come around a bit more often to check up on us, but there was a lot going on which was definitely out of their control. It just left us waiting a long while. FOOD: The food was yummy! I got the Ranch personal pizza which has ranch dressing as the base, mozzarella, chicken, broccoli, grilled onions, bacon, and tomatoes. It was so hot, crispy, and delicious! Also got a nice side salad to get some greens in. I will be dreaming about the dessert for a long time! I ordered the Hank's Smashburger which comes with two juicy brisket/short rib/chuck patties, melted American cheese, grilled onions, BBQ aioli, and a few jalapeños for good measure. One heck of a burger -- I couldn't believe how good it was. The Hank's Potatoes (red potatoes, onions, cheese, and bacon) were total hearty, soul-food perfection. After that, I had to dive into a scone with that heavenly honey butter. And you just can't leave without the Pie-Zuki -- a chocolate chip cookie topped with ice cream and whipped cream. Absolute dessert insanity in the best way. The dining room was cozy and comfortable. We even caught the Broncos playoff game while we ate. Loved seeing the picture of Hank on the wall -- he looks like a very good boy! We'll definitely be heading back to Hanks soon. Well worth the drive from Ogden Valley. Great brunch, great vibes, wonderful staff.

I should have taken a picture before I took my first bite but alas I didn't and any picture would have been of an empty plate. Maybe next time.

After a much-anticipated opening more than five years in the making, expectations were understandably high. Unfortunately, the experience does not yet live up to the setting. The operation feels disorganized, particularly in the kitchen. The menu itself is common and uncreative, and the food execution compounds the problem. Several dishes were overcooked and over-seasoned, with some items appearing to be prepared from frozen. For a straightforward menu, the results were surprisingly poor, suggesting a lack of professional culinary leadership. The absence of a chef--or even a knowledgeable food consultant--is evident. Front-of-house staff deserve acknowledgment. The waitresses were polite, attentive, and clearly doing their best within a loosely managed system. House management overall feels unstructured, which likely contributes to the inconsistency and confusion. It's disappointing to see such a beautiful space--with its deck and river views--fall short of its potential. With stronger management and proper kitchen leadership, this restaurant could become a worthy stop in the canyon. I'm hopeful meaningful improvements will be made over the coming months. The location alone deserves better--fingers crossed.

Cooked perfectly and we savored every bite. The wife went with a double cheeseburger with bacon and I went with the classic Star burger - two patties and a krautwurst. Notably my wife doesn't like bacon all that much but she ate every single bite of the double burger and did not even give me wee bit of bacon. Chips were chips, just fine. It is a cash only (and Venmo) and they even have an ATM, just in case. Have not seen one of those outside of Vegas in years.
