My son and I were the only customers in the joint. Three young women were sitting down waiting for customers when we walked in. Place was OK clean, bathrooms were clean. It took 5 minutes and our order was served to our table! Our food was hot, fresh and there was a lot of food! Burgers in a pretzel bun! So good we ordered another round of burgers! First receipt $28.13, two burgers, two large fries and two large drinks. Second receipt $20.70. We had the cheese burger and the second time we had the River burger! They even made a vegetarian version! The presentation of the food was over the top. You knew they took time to prepare it and they too would eat here! Stopped here for a breakfast burrito on our way out of Ogden area for camping. We got the all meat breakfast burrito which had ham, sausage, potatoes, egg and cheese. It was good but not my favorite. Kinda bland but not bad. Could have used more meat. Barely any cheese also. Also, I'm a Germaphobe. That being said I walked into this place and felt dirty immediately. Some of the tables were alittle dirty at 10 am. Windows had finger prints all over them. Now, don't base your decision on my first time and only time going here. Some of the other comments like this place. This is just based on my first and only time. Now, will I go back? Probably not but that's just me. Being one of few restaurants in Morgan, we have tried this spot a few times. Previously I provided a 4 star review, but due to recent experiences it is now 3 stars. We have tried a few things on the menu, and typically get the River Burger. This is a burger packed with mushrooms, pickles, cheese, lettuce and special sauce. The burgers may be frozen patty's although we don't always have the same experience to tell if they use fresh beef. Either way, they are tasty. The fries are some of the best as well. However, during recent visits, the restaurant is not clean which discourages me from returning. When a dining room is not kept clean I can only imagine what it might be like behind the counter. The touch screen that is used for purchases was very fingerprinty, the counters were not clean, tables were sticky and the famous Morgan flies had collected inside the building. Overall we will probably not be going back. read more

I ordered onion rings and a burger today. I've faithfully gone here each and every time I'm in Morgan. Which is several times each month. Today, was my last time! How can any decent cook actually serve onion rings that are DARK BROWN? It means they're BURNT! How can any decent cook serve a hamburger that's BLACK on 1 side? Again, it means it's BURNT! The restroom had flies buzzing around the sink and toilet area. Which means IT NEEDS CLEANING! The cashier also was obviously not happy being there. Well, I refuse going to any establishment that strikes out on food, service, and hospitality. You just lost a loyal customer. Stopped to waste a little time and to grab a bite to eat on the way to a camping adventure. We just ordered an all meat breakfast burrito and it was pretty decent. It was mostly egg (which i guess could be constituted as a meat?) but not alot of anything else. I'm glad it wasn't stuffed full of potato but I would have liked to see more ham, sausage, and/or bacon. The meat carried all of the flavor as it was more on the bland egg taste with no seasoning. The highlight was the salsa, which we should have asked for a 2nd cup of as the cups are not large enough for the big burrito. The lady who helped us was friendly but the inside of this place could use a little cleaning up. Lots of fingerprints on the windows and the tables look like they dont get wiped off as often as they should. Another issue is the ceiling appeared to be leaking and there was no bucket or warning that it could be slick on the floor All in all, I'm still curious enough to try a burger, despite some poor reviews about them. Located on the Main Street of Morgan, Utah is this quaint little burger place on the end unit of a newer shopping center. Plenty of parking out front is a big bonus! I went off a recommendation from my FIL and ordered the River Burger. Two quarter pound patties topped with American and Swiss cheeses, mushrooms, lettuce, bacon, and BBQ sauce sitting between a pretzel bun. My burger was cooked perfectly but my wife's burger was a little too well done, dry and crispy she opted to remove the patty. The fries are cooked in that special Utahan way that leaves the fries crispy on the outside but fluffy on the inside! Dipped in the fry sauce, which is unusual for an Ohioan, is pure deliciousness! If my wife's burger would have been cooked to be edible, and if there weren't flies cruising around the restaurant, I would have given them . First the good: fries and chicken are hot and the drink is cold. The rest of the story is that the place is a day care center. Kids had scooters and skates with a side door propped open with a chair and no parents in sight. There were supplies out on the counter as well as a folding table leaned against the window. The men's room had a layer of grime. Charging for sauces is fine if they are gourmet. The sloppy hand written sign speaks cheap. The sauces were the most basic. I wanted to use my own cup and the woman clearly didn't know how to respond. She just sold me a large drink. The chicken was clearly machine processed. Good fries, friendly staff but the chicken strips were processed like Mc Donald's crap nuggets which I wouldn't feed my dog if I had one. I am too picky with my chicken so I didn't even bite into them and I can't tell you if it was good or not. My husband is the same way so all we ate were the fries. I stumbled across this gem of a burger place trying to get some pictures of the beautiful mountain range and honestly didn't expect much but was very surprised after my burger and fries came out to me. The burger was more of a man-burger with a patty that felt like a meal in itself. They didn't skimp on putting condiments inside my burger, and if I would have known what I was getting, I would have gotten a smaller size meal. The fries were crispy and hard to put down. They came with a fry sauce that honestly I would have never thought of trying until then. We came hear after looking at some reviews during a mini road trip on I-84 and we were not disappointed. We were there in the afternoon in-between the lunch and dinner crowds. It was just us in the restaurant. I was a bit nervous that we were going to be served food that had been sitting under a heat lamp. That was definitely not the case. We ordered and only had to wait 8-10 minutes for our food to arrive. My wife and I both got bacon cheeseburger combos. Everything about the hamburger was fantastic. (Just a note they do put mustard on the hamburger unless you ask them not to). The bun was very fresh. The burger appeared to be charbroiled and was cooked pefectly, the letter was fresh and crisp, the bacon was cooked just right and the cheese was melted nicely. The fries were some of the best fries I've had in a long time. I wasn't really expecting much and they were simply delicious. It seemed that they were almost battered, or double fried or something. The closest thing I can think of would be a variation of the fries they serve at Moochie's. We both at all of ours and enjoyed them very much. My wife got a strawberry shake which she said was very good. A bit thick at first which was perfect. It didn't get melty before she finished her meal. i just got a soda from the fountain. One of the only bad things that happened was the ice was out in the fountain. They also only ask that you get one refill, which didn't really matter for us. Another thing was the cost. We paid just under $22 for the both of us. It is a bit pricey, but the food really was very good. I was hoping to get two meals for under $20, so it wasn't horribly priced. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Dollar for dollar, this is a way better meal in my opinion than Crown Burger in Salt Lake City. Not quite as good as Rich's or TonyBurgers. But if you need something to eat in Morgan, definitely think about going here. read more
