My wife eating ice cream by the river.

Love this place!! We sat outside and was amazing, listening to the water pass by. Food was on point. Got an appetizer of cheese curds and fried jalapeños, and bought another order of the cheese curds!! I got the oak burger, and the portion was amazing and ended up taking half of it home. Great ambiance, great food, and great prices. Derrick served us and he was amazing.

I had hopes but they were dashed. We sat outside at first but the sun was beating down and we couldn't touch the table it was so hot I asked if they had a umbrella but no they didn't so we went inside banished to the back room. Service was very poor considering no once did anyone check on us. The sodas were lukewarm my husband got an Oaks burger it was pretty good but came to him wrong he asked for no onions but he got onions. I had the Halibut sandwich and it was so processed and tasted the same no flavor except for mush. Needless to say will NEVER eat food here again but might to in if I want the most expensive ice cream if it's comparable to the food prices

First time since they reopened. So the wife and I stopped by for a bite. Got a nice table in the back inside overlooking. The menu is very good. I went with the Ruben while my wife had o e of their large burgers. Food was very good neither of us could finish our lunch. I had fries and the wife had onion rings so we both got to try each. Service was a little lacking and we had to go track someone down to get our check so we could leave. Only complaint. And yes they still serve Farr's ice cream so we had a cup to go. We will be going back. Can't wait for the patio to open

Let's start with what is good. This location is very nicely perched on the Ogden River. We dined midday in dead of winter, so it was in the shadow of the mountain. The restaurant is clean, including the bathrooms. The service was a little slow but courteous. What wasn't so good, was the food. To be fair the fried chicken sandwich was tender and fresh but wasn't particularly flavorful. The side salad was fresh and generously portioned. The Bourbon BBQ burger, despite asking for it to be cooked as little as possible, came out super dry. They said they only cook well done but it was a puck.

The food was amazing, the service was phenomenal, the ambience and atmosphere are absolutely breathtakingly beautiful. Everything about The Oaks, the vibe, the birds chirping, the sound of the river running as you are enjoying phenomenal food and great company... It just doesn't get better than this. Please see for yourself. I've been coming here since I was a little girl. I would have anyway but I knew the previous owners who did an amazing job of continuing and building this place to be what it is today and have the reputation it is. The new ownership has done a phenomenal job with the place and I love the staff. They've done some remodeling and it still has the same cozy vibe. Don't forget you can get your Farr's Ice Cream here! We celebrated my younger brother's 40th birthday here today; it was perfect!!

Incredible riverside setting and elite service. They surprised us with complimentary treats, and every dish hit the spot. Highly recommend!

I will start by saying that the rating would have been five stars if I was able to sit on the river, but they are currently fixing the construction on the outdoor tables to be open and going strong for the holidays and that is a great thing. The weather was amazing today for a drive to stop and have some really great food. I was too late for breakfast, but the food did not disappoint in any way. I have to give a shout out to an amazing waitress that was also being hostess and doing well, Halie. Thank you again so much for everything and the ice cream you can't go wrong with me personally I chose the butter pecan and then relax in the shade and eat before traveling home. The Oaks is back open and ready for people to stop on the way up the canyon or just make a separate drive to go have an awesome dinner.

This place just reopened. It needs work. Servers do not know what they are doing. No organization whatsoever. It was really cold so they need to figure out the temperature. I ordered the breakfast sandwich and it was really good. Hash browns were good, just cold. It has the capacity to be awesome, they just need to get some stuff figured out.

First of all, it was so confusing trying to figure out where to park. I don't even know if I parked in the right place or not so I just parked across the street. And then when we walked in, they only had six flavors and one Italian ice flavor. When we went to order two Italian ice cups they said they only had enough for one small. The flavors that they had available were really boring so I ended up just getting a vanilla sundae. But they didn't even have any regular toppings like hot fudge or caramel so I opted to get Oreos, chocolate chips, and caramel bits. That was a bad idea. I don't know why they offer chocolate chips and caramel bits because they got hard as a rock. The ice cream tasted very average. This whole experience was so disappointing. It was hard to find the bathrooms, and they still had fall decorations up in January. just because it's January doesn't mean people don't want a good variety of ice cream flavors. I definitely won't be back.

The ice cream was great. They have a wall of pictures of the flavors instead of seeing it through a glass. They also have seasonal flavors which is fun. The service was alright. You could tell it was ran by a bunch of high school kids so it wasn't world class. But they were nice and got the job done. Overall I'd recommend! Plenty of seating and great flavors!

YIKES!! Did I just ice cream?!?! With that being said, I am human and I do enjoy the unhealthier choices from time to time. Well, I discovered Rebel Ice Cream!! It has clean ingredients and tastes DELICIOUS as well! There's pistachio, peanut butter caramel chip, orange cream, snickerdoodle, chocolate peanut butter, banana peanut butter, triple chocolate, salted caramel, cherry chip, cookies and cream, butter pecan, mint chip, cookie dough, peanut butter cup, chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, coffee chip, and chocolate caramel nut. Not all of these flavors are in the grocery store. Each store seems to stock their best sellers. Sometimes, I have to go to two different stores to stock up on my favorites!! Overall, I like to stock up on pistachio, mint chip, coffee chip, cherry chip, chocolate peanut butter, and butter pecan. It's a little pricey for the pint. When it's on sale, I kind of over buy!

Rebel Creamery figured out how to do it, offering pints of ice cream with less than 8 grams of carbs per serving. Some are as low as FOUR grams. That's why it is my dessert of choice! Cream, egg yolks, erythritol (sugar alcohol, which the human body can't digest), monk fruit, milk proteins, natural flavors. And of course, the inclusions that make for the different flavors. Peppermint Chip, Peanut Butter Caramel, Orange, Salted Caramel, Coconut Almond Swirl, Black Raspberry, Cookie Dough, Coffee Chip, and my personal favorite, Butter Pecan which is rated at 4 grams of net carbs per serving. I've found Rebel in my Publix ice cream freezer and sometimes at a Kroger (Harris-Teeter) but it's also distributed through Walmart and H-E-B and Food Lion. I can usually make a pint last a week if I'm really good. https://rebelcreamery.com/pages/where has a map of stores that sell it. They'll also ship it to you but that's the spendy way. If you're on keto? Get some. [Review 16519 overall - 61 in Utah - 28 of 2022.]
