This is my first restaurant review. If I'm taking the time to leave a review, you better believe it's because it was either that good, or that bad. I took my wife to Bartolo's on a date, and we enjoyed every aspect. Quick, thoughtful service, and they checked on us regularly. Lots of natural light on the North side of the restaurant where they have glass doors that open up to the outside (they were closed because it was a cold day but make for a pleasant atmosphere). The food was excellent. We ordered the house focaccia and calamari to start. Both were incredible. My wife had the lasagna, and I had the spicy crab campanelle (at the recommendation of our server). The homemade pasta is melt-in-your-mouth good. In terms of cost, it is about what I'd expect from a nice dinner out with my wife. My new favorite restaurant. We will definitely be back. read more

A dark and classy environment. The decor is great and stays true to the restaurant and its meals. Though I believe this place to be pretty overpriced, the food is truly delicious ! Everything comes out fairly quick for all being house-made from scratch. The meals are flavorful and great. There isn't anything on this menu that stands out, everything seems pretty standard for a nice Italian place. Our bread and salad starter were great and we cleared those quick ! I chose the chicken parmigiana and found the marinara sauce to be a bit watery/bland in taste. My chicken was a bit dry so perhaps a bit overcooked. The alfredo that came with it was DELICIOUS, perfectly creamy. However...can I justify $30 for the plate ? No. My boyfriend's spicy sausage a la vodka pasta was delicious but again, the red sauce was lack luster for me. It's almost like it was lacking tomato paste and garlic ? The potato side was delicious and surprisingly large for the price ! The aioli that came with it was great in flavor as well. We finished our meal with a creme brulee. It was perfectly torched and the creme itself was delicious and perfectly chilled. The strawberry was a bit sour for my liking, especially for coming with an expensive dessert. But this dessert was one of my highlights of the meal. Although a nice once-off meal, I find Bartolo's to be pretty overpriced, even for delicious italian dishes. I was a little stressed at first, seeing how little was on my plate (and the price I spent on it) but I was surprisingly full before I finished my meal! The salmon was great and I really enjoyed the seasoning on my greens! Seating was lovely and I enjoyed the open window and space by our table. I highly recommend the garlic bread! Tried Bartolo's for the first time with a group of friends. There was 6 of us in total. First, I do like what they've done with the layout of the restaurant. They moved the bar from the middle of the restaurant, as it was for the last to restaurants that utilized this space, to the east wall. Which seems much more accessible and opens up better movement throughout the restaurant. When it was in the middle it seemed to take up a ton of room and kind of split the dining room into two halves in an awkward way. The food was good but not great. I started with the Focaccia Bread with balsamic, olive oil and sea salt. $5.00. It was good but feels like something that should have been included in the meal at no charge. 3/5 For an entrée I ordered the Spicy Sausage A La Vodka Rigatoni, not sure I would call it spicy, the creamy a la vodka sauce was good and the sausage definitely added a nice flavor. A little spendy for a simple pasta dish at $25.00. 3/5 My wife tried the Pistachio Pesto Mafaldine, home-made mafaldine pasta, roasted sweet potatoes and broccoli, pistachio-pesto sauce, parmesan cheese. We found it to be a little overwhelming in the pesto department and the broccoli didn't quite work. 2/5. Our waiter was just okay, didn't really check up on us. 3/5 read more

My daughter & I were in town for a gymnastics meet & also staying right in the outdoor mall that this restaurant is located in. Really beautiful exterior so I had high expectations especially when the hostess told me that the pasta was freshly handmade as she was seating us. We had a 4 top, dining with our travel companions, this was their pick as my friend had a gift certificate to use from her AMEX card. We heard the ricotta toast was highly recommended online so we got that as our shared appetizer, it was really good. Served with grilled bread, a generous helping of smooth, creamy ricotta topped with blueberry compote, drizzled with honey & topped with pumpkin seeds. So yummy, just with the bread were a little more crisp & warmer. 3 out of 4 of us selected pasta dishes...I try & limit my gluten intake so I opted for salmon served with risotto & roasted broccolini ...which I believe was the best dish on our table. I bet their beef short rib is good too but I wanted something a little lighter. My daughter chose the spicy sausage rigatoni...she can't that fish up on any menu. Her friend ordered the caprese bucatini which came with a generous serving of burrata on top! My friend ordered the spicy crab Campanella. Although serving are very generous...I'm going to have to say the taste & texture of all the pasta dishes was mediocre at best. Very bland sauces and gummy pasta texture. The girls mostly gobbled up their dishes because they were starving having just competed but my friend only ate half. I was able to try everyone's dish & I was very underwhelmed as well. I was so glad I ordered an entree over pasta. Also glad my friend had that gift certificate as these are pretty expensive dishes. The girls coaches came in just as we were finishing up...they too have high expectation for food but were probably drawn to this place because of their beautiful exterior & interior decor. We should have warned them to stick with the entrees vs. the pasta dishes...one of the coaches loves Italy so I definitely know she would be disappointed. Our service was good so that's why they are getting a 3, nice, knowledgeable & prompt. Yes!! This place is absolutely beautiful!! My cousin was in town for Cali and wanted a good atmosphere. Not as easy in utah as it is Cali. The wine selection was great. We ended up coming for brunch and dinner another night. Great location in Farmington too. The staff was so knowledgeable about the menu that it made it easy to decide. Rigatoni Bolognese was good but very mild and the mushrooms were largely missing/undetectable so I'd give it a 3/5. Maybe ask for it a little spicy to step it up a notch without the vodka option also on the menu. Pizza was good but not great with decent medium crust but pretty middle of the road for a meat lovers which seemed to overwhelm whatever flavor the sauce would have provided. I'd skip the Italian sodas as they are _tiny_ and not refillable but the Diet Coke on tap is good and refillable. The Ricotta Toast which was excellent! Prices were about 20% higher than I think they should've been given better food elsewhere. read more

My husband and I were excited to try this location for Bartolo's as we have tried other locations and loved it. This is much closer to where we live and so convenient for us. The restaurant is beautiful, it's very light and bright. Everyone we interacted with that worked there was so kind and welcoming. I ordered the rigatoni bolognese and my husband had the mussels spaghetti. Both dishes are beautiful to look at and amazing tasting!! Absolutely obsessed with Bartolo's! My husband and I had the most incredible pasta dishes. Let's be real, when a restaurant makes fresh pasta in house, how could you order anything else? My husband, a Chicago native whose go to pasta dish is rigatoni with vodka sauce, couldn't stop raving about it. We got our kiddo the kids' meal but ended up devouring the same rigatoni dish. We were shocked at how much he loved it too! I had the bucatini carbonara, and let me tell you, it was next level delicious. Bartolo's is Italian-inspired, so they put their own unique twist on classic dishes, and ahhhh those belly chunks in the carbonara? Unreal. I would have happily ordered a whole plate of just that! The portions are huge, so we left completely stuffed and beyond satisfied. And just when we thought we couldn't eat another bite, we had to try their blueberry Dutch pancake. OH MY GOODNESS.... The lemon curd? Absolutely to die for. Every bite was perfection! The best part? Bartolo's is everywhere! Whether you're in Farmington, Salt Lake, or Park City, there's no excuse not to try them. This is hands down the go-to spot for incredible food in Utah. The owner is so lovely and pleasant!! Extremely hospitable and would make you feel right at home. She values her guests and no wonder, they have a loyal following. I mean, 3 locations in Utah? That says it all. The restaurant is so beautiful!! We went to bartolo this weekend and were quite disappointed. We ordered the grilled focaccia to start and it came out cold. Obviously it was grilled ahead and not even heated before bringing to tables. Previously, this has been my favorite thing at Bartolo. We shared a house salad, which was good. I had the rigatoni bolognese and it was good, but not great. My husband had the crab pasta and it wasn't good. It smelled so fishy and had very little crab. It did have some shrimp, but that wasn't what was ordered. Service was good and our waitress was very pleasant. After four tries here, we will not be back to this location again. The salt lake location is so much better. read more

I've been wanting to check out Bartolo's at Farmington Station for a few months. My boyfriend has even asked me to pick it up as take out but I wanted to go there before we did take out. Went there this weekend with my sister & her boyfriend. We started with a couple of drinks (margarita, espresso martini, and two mules) with an appetizer for spinach artichoke dip to share. I loved the margarita! It was delicious! One of my favorites I've had recently honestly. The appetizer was really good. The ratio to bread & dip was proportionate. We ordered our meals & they came out pretty quickly. I ordered the Caprese Bucatini & it was amazing!!! It had so much flavor, I loved the buratta cheese on this dish. I'm not a big fan of pesto, but the pesto was just the perfect amount. The noodles were really good. My boyfriend ordered the Chicken Parmigiana & he really liked it. Said it had really good flavor. My sister ordered the Rigatoni Bolognese & it was shocking for all of us. It had no flavor. It was really bland. She ended up taking most of it home to hopefully doctor it up at home with some more spices/sauce. Which was really unfortunate. I tried it & it tasted just like a regular noodle, with no sauce/taste. I feel like this dish is a hit or miss at most places. Her boyfriend ordered the chicken fettuccine alfredo, with no spinach on top. He said it had pretty good flavor. My sister tried my dish & said she would definitely get the Caprese Bucatini next time because it was full of flavor. Our experience here was amazing but with that one dish not being the best, we had to dock it one star. Service was great & it's a cute environment. We have family members with Celiac and dairy dietary concerns, so finding a restaurant for us is so hard...so you wouldn't expect an Italian restaurant to be our best option, but the care they take here to meet both of these dietary needs blew my mind. They were also so kind and thoughtful about it, making these family members feel special rather than a burden (as some restaurants have). Excellent! These business is a perfect replacement for the previous establishment. There an interesting menu that looks worth exploring. We tried out the Crispy Spanish Octopus and found it to be very good. Just wish there was more of it. I opted for the Shrimp Spaghetti, which is a bit spicy. Not terribly so. You know, not like you are competing in a Ghost Pepper eating contest. Have to admit I enjoyed it. It was early for dinner so the crowd was light, but it made for a pleasant dinner. The waiter was very friendly and helpful. Service was quick and on point. This holds promise for a return visit. read more

It was a quiet Thursday evening. Thought it would be a little busier. Maybe two other tables. Overall the service was outstanding. The set up is great! Not sure why the place isn't busier. Love the ice cold water. The focaccia bread was delicious! I had the special Cajun seafood pasta, it was okay could use a little more flavor. I added salt and it helped a bit. Portion was pretty decent. Maybe a little pricey. But definitely would go back and try the brunch menu. read more

I was at Station Park and it was dinner time! I walked the center area and looked at a couple menus outside of the restaurants. I landed on going to Bartolo's. I sat at the bar since I was alone. And I was quickly greeted by the bartender. I ordered garlic bread to start and then the pasta bolognese. She asked if I wanted them at the same time or the bread first - which I'm happy about since I did want them together. The bread was delicious and a huge portion! I also LOVED the pasta. You can tell it was freshly made and I liked the sauce and the cheese the put in the middle. Truly delicious. My only complaint was with being seated at the bar - the bartender was not able to read social cues from me and wanted to talk to me the entire time I was eating. She was extremely nice but I was still catching up with work emails and just got finished having a long day of work so was hoping to have a relaxing quiet dinner. If you are dining alone and want quiet - may need to ask for a table for yourself rather than sitting at the bar. read more

10/10 I can't believe this place doesn't have more reviews. Super nice area of Farmington and the ambiance was sheek. My wife and I came during brunch. No rush. Just sat down. Super inviting staff. The food was amazing and comparable to food we have experienced in Italy. We mentioned this to the waitress and she informed us that the chef did his internship in Italy. Chef, you are spot on! ​I visited Bartolo's with high expectations after reading about their commitment to "authenticity, consistency, and flavor" and their "made from scratch" handmade pasta. As someone who lived in Italy for several years and has frequented Italian restaurants around the world, I was looking forward to those traditional techniques, but the Lobster Ravioli was a disappointment. ​The dish was swimming in an overwhelming amount of sauce, seemingly to hide the lack of actual lobster. The ravioli themselves were underwhelming--mostly air and a tiny bit of minced lobster. For a $30 entree, I expected a much more substantial and balanced meal. I was honestly ready to either order something else or head to a different restaurant entirely. ​However, the staff truly embodies the "warm dining experience" they promise. The service was exceptional, and the bartender was attentive and on his A game. The manager was very proactive in trying to rectify the situation by providing additional ravioli that was actually well-filled. I appreciate the professional recovery, but for a place focused on high-quality ingredients, the initial dish shouldn't have missed the mark so significantly. If you ask for bread with your pasta you will be charged extra, if your pasta is slightly dry and you ask for additional sauce, you will be charged extra. A glass of house wine is ordinary and again, pricey. The service is perfunctory in spite of a lack of customers. Overall, I would rate this Italian restaurant as average and certainly not worth the price. I think I'll pass on a revisit. read more

We celebrated Valentine's Day at Bartolo's. This was our first visit to the Station Park location. We have visited their Salt Lake location, which is awesome! Our experience here in Farmington was great. We were immediately greeted upon arrival and seated shortly thereafter. (We had reservations). The entire restaurant was filled with energy and beautifully decorated. Every table filled. Our server was kind and friendly. Our appetizer and meals were delivered quickly and the presentation was great. We will definitely return and continue to support this family owned restaurant. Oh my lordy! Dinner was delicious!!! This was my husband's and I first time here. We were seated right away upon arrival. The atmosphere was subdued, quiet, soft music in the background that allowed us to talk to each other at a normal pitch. The appetizer was grilled octopus on a bed of white beans. This had a light flavor and the grilled octopus was very tender, not fishy at all. It basically melted in my mouth. I ordered the caprese pasta. There were grape tomatoes, burrata and a basil pesto. Even though I added salt and pepper the flavors was reminiscent of a caprese salad. The pasta was made fresh by the chef. The texture was a nice chew, not overdone at all. The burrata was warmed and the pesto was made with pistachios!! What a difference that made. Dessert, the tiramisu was insanely delicious! It had a layer of chocolate fudge, caramel, the custard and of course lady fingers. This was the best I've ever had in my life!!! We will be returning. read more

I came here for lunch and had a fabulous meal. They do a lunch special with any of their fresh pastas, a salad or soup, and faccaia bread. It was all delicious and the portion sizes were so generous that I could not finish my whole meal. I got the side salad and the borrita caprese pasta. The pasta tasted very fresh and the marina had cherry tomatoes in it which just highlighted the flavor profile. It also has a splash of pesto across the top and that was just the thing to turn this dish from great to absolute amazing. Anna was our waitress and super helpful. Awesome lamb pasta, clean ingredients, it's so nice to have another choice besides twigs at Farmington Station Park. These are high-quality ingredients they don't change the menu up a ton but everything on it is good for you, healthy, made from trustworthy sources. We always love a night out at Bartolo's. As a couple of self proclaimed food knobs, this is the place we always go and know that it is going to be delicious, and it is not going to make us regret it later. This is my second time here. I remember being upset that the food took forever. This time my husband and I had reservations for the valentines special and even checked in 15 min early and waited over 45 minutes. We're pretty sure they skipped us. Several couples that checked in after us were seated before us. Everyone that had been waiting prior to us had already been seated. When my husband went up to check, the gal scrolled very long and then said she would go check on our table. We were seated immediately. This would be a great restaurant if they actually were on time. The wait ruined the entire meal and experience. Even with the great and friendly waiter, which was sadly the only good thing. I will NOT be returning. It did not help over hearing staff continually state the kitchen staff was behind. Proportion was small. Their regular menu items are much bigger than their event menu. If anyone is ABSOLUTELY set on trying the place, come on a slow day like Monday-Thurs and not for a special. read more

Huge shout out to Alma, our server, for being absolutely a rock star! She was attentive and friendly and went out of her way to fix a wobbly table when we brought it to her attention. My dining partner and I had reservations and had a lovely dinner. The menu was modest, but still offered a good variety of items to appeal to most people. I enjoyed the trout. The broccoli had a strange taste to it and I thought it was just my taste buds, but when my dining partner tried it, he said that they were burnt. By then I'd devoured my fish and wasn't interested in trying to get a replacement on the veggies. But I am curious to know what it's supposed to taste like. Give this location 3 & 1/2 Stars. First time to this location, but have been to the one in Sugarhouse. The service was ok, we sat at the bar first and cocktail drinks took about 25 min on a Thursday non busy, evening, I thought was a bit too long time as there weren't very many people dining. Our waiter was new and nervous, and didn't know too much about the menu. I went with the daily fresh filled pasta which was yummy as was in the sugarhouse location. It had a blue cheese filling that was scrumptious. My date went with bucatini and that was delish. Grilled Garlic bread was great just as I had the previous location. Shared a side of veggies too that were ok. We didn't have room for dessert, but that's ok. I don't think I would dine at this location again. read more

Good food, terrible service. Wife and I went for Valentine's Day and had a reservation at 6. Showed up right on time. Took about 15 min to get a table, not a big deal. When we got seated we completely got ignored for well over 20 minutes until the waiter finally came to give us water cups and take our order. They completely forgot to bring our appetizer but we reminded them and they did. We waited another 15 minutes after the main course to get our dessert all the while several tables around us had gotten theirs within a few minutes. Got one bottle of water to share which was about 1 Liter but never were offered any refills after that. I paid for a drink of Coke Zero and never got a single refill. Seemed to only have 1 or 2 waiters covering the whole restaurant. Overall just felt like we were ignored the entire night. read more

Let's see where do I start. Our bartender Angel was just simply the best. Super respectful and very attention to detail. Incredibly polite and gave us all kinds of menu and drink recommendations that were well worth getting. We tried all of what he recommended and were seriously impressed beyond expectations with the food. He made us his special fav beony sprits, but you have to have him add his favorite way of making it the way he likes it. It was so stinking good. Very clean and refreshing. Really disappointing. The restaurant is not inexpensive for what you are getting, so I expected above average quality and flavor. We were disappointed. My wife's frittata was cooked well but she said way over salted. I had the $25 6 oz steak, potatoes and eggs. The eggs were very good and the potatoes were pretty good. The steak was well......gross. It was cooked to the right temperature but it had a strange texture and awful taste. It was definitely not a quality cut of meat, but it was also possibly expired or cooked really strange. The cuisine shows promise, though a bit salty for my taste. I trust the owner and chef will address this. The ambiance, reminiscent of the previous restaurant, is charming. Service is satisfactory; staff delivered hot dishes and assisted well with menu choices. However, I find the Italian fare overpriced, around 25% more than comparable establishments I've enjoyed across the country and in Italy. Adjusting pricing and moderating salt levels would enhance the overall experience. read more

The food is amazing. The chef/owner is so talented. The ambiance is ambiancing. I have not had this good of food in a while. The mussels and caprese pasta are 10/10. It's 1 of 3 locations, the other two are in Park City and Sugar House so you know it's good. Great GF and Vegetarian options.
