This place is a great breakfast spot to hit on weekdays, it's so good and very cozy the wait is worth it but nicer to just get it, went Thursday morning, my saturday, and no wait seated immediately and coffee within minutes, my wife has some allergies and not much on the menu could suit her but bacon and potato sides were great, my Corned beef hash had crispy but moist inside, seasoned well taters, great side of beef cooked in house you could tell or very nicely done, defiantly not out of a can as 90% of diners you see nowadays do. The only little caveat was alot of grounds in our coffees, after 2 refills we noticed a good spoonful in each. I really like chow. The food is awesome and the drinks/ coffee are really good! The service has always been pretty good as well, considering how busy they always seem to be. The only qualm I would have is that the restaurant is really small and people love the place so sometimes there is a really long wait for a table. It's hard and a little overwhelming sometimes to navigate inside the building, so if it's nice out and there's space I recommend sitting outside. The Bloody Mary prices are pretty steep but they have house infused vodkas. It's kind of novelty I guess so I pay it because it's delicious. I haven't decided though if the food is as amazing as I think it is or if the wait is so long that by the time you get your food it is the best thing you've ever tasted! I would recommend trying it for yourself for sure. Just go before your super hungry. Don't show up on empty because you're probably going to have to wait a while. read more

Went here on Fourth of July.... so the wait was crazy, but there was a band outside so it was tolerable. We waited about 30 minutes longer than we should have until we finally asked why everyone was sat before us. They finally put a small table up the the picnic table. Could have been done much sooner. That was frustrating especially having two small kids with us. Took a while for them to figure who would serve us since so many employees had been phased. Frustrating again, however once we had a server she kicked it into high gear. We could not order a lot of what we wanted off their special menu because they had ran out of a lot. But we got ordered, the food came out perfectly and was great!!! So overall we ate, it was good. I do plan to try again on a not holiday weekend and see if the above issues were just a reflection of the crazy holiday traffic! read more

Went here for a Friday morning breakfast. There was already a wait around 9 AM, but it really wasn't too bad, they would serve coffee while waiting if you asked. There were also people sipping some fun looking morning cocktails. Everyone in my group loved their food. I had the "sampson" I believe it was called. Poached eggs over a crab cake on top of toast with choron sauce (hollandaise with a touch of tomato purée) on top. It was to die for. It sounds heavy and rich, and while it was definitely something to write home about, it was not over the top and didn't make you feel like you had over done it. Nobody was sitting in the quaint little house inside, but there was probably seating for 35 people. Very nice and efficient staff, especially with water refills. The venue is beautiful, but the wait was over an hour to a loud band both times we tried it. We went twice thinking maybe the food had changed because the reviews were so good, but most importantly the food was extremely disappointing. I ordered the "huevos rancheros" vegan style, which has tofu instead of eggs with a side of tots, but what I received was pretty dry, flavorless tofu with also pretty dry, flavorless potatoes on the side. I then wanted coffee to wash down those carbs, but had to try a little too hard to get our waiter's attention who was running around the cafe like he had 12 cups already. In the pros column, the brussel sprouts were some of the best that I've had. Get the brussel sprouts. Also, my friends had the Eggs Ala Caesar and were both really happy. It looked amazing. I'm not a big fan of Benedict in general but saw the plethora of reviews and photos so needed to try it. It was bursting with yummy flavor. The corn cakes on the bottom paired perfectly with the eggs and red and green sauce. I would say it's an elevated hybrid of a Benedict, huevos rancheros, and cornbread!!! This was THE BEST breakfast I have ever had. I could eat here every morning. We started off with a bacon bourbon Mary and a Jameson spiked hot chocolate topped with cardamom whipped cream. Both were boozy and delicious! We then shared the Sampson and a pork belly Benedict that was on the specials. The Sampson is a crab cake (very well seasoned and loved the peppers inside and the crunch on the outside) on fresh made white bread toast, topped with sauce and a poached egg. The pork belly Benedict was sweet, salty, smokey, tangy... it hit all the right notes. It was served with caramelized onions and spinach on the same fresh white bread toast and topped with a poached egg and sauce. With majority of the breakfast items you get to pick your side: options are sweet potatoes, regular potatoes, bacon cheese grits or a salad. We ordered the grits and regular potatoes. Both were fantastic and complimented the dishes well. Atmosphere in this place is pretty awesome. The staff all works together well and very friendly. There's a fire place in the back seating area and a lovely fire pit out front if you have a wait. The only negative thing I can say about this place is that it's cramped and small because of how busy and packed it was. But that will definitely not stop me from returning!
