It's not "coming soon" anymore...it's been open since January. I submitted an edit to their name upon their opening, but *shrug* maybe one day it'll be updated...? I'd recommend ordering online if you're a frequent flyer. You can order through their app, and it will typically be ready within 20 minutes at the carry out shelf near the front entrance. Plus once you spend $100, you get $10 credit, which definitely helps to make it a bit more affordable. I customize my own salads each time I visit, and most are pretty tasty. They haven't filled the bowl a few times, and my salad today had an extra ingredient I didn't request in it, and they also forgot to text me that it was ready. So they're definitely still experiencing some growing pains, but their product is good. The interior is well done also; I just wish the baby seats at the communal table had backs. But I guess that's a good way to keep the flow of clients moving during the busy lunch hour. This is a good and healthy option for the downtown lunch crowd.

CHOPT Creative Salads is the newest place to eat in the downtown financial district of Richmond. Located in the James Center, CHOPT replaced the beloved Wendy's franchise. This is my first Yelp Elite review for 2020 so you should feel special CHOPT. The pitch from CHOPT is to get people excited about tasty salads. They market themselves as offering the best crunch, tastiest greens, gluten-free and house made small-batch dressings, etc. I'm always excited to try healthy options for lunch. Lord knows eating healthy is the key to longevity. I had their chicken tinga "warm bowl" and it was absolutely delicious. I was floored how flavorful this little bowl was. I was worried they would imbalance the whole bowl with the lack of chicken and overuse of whole grains but it worked. The spice from the green sauce on top was strong but it worked. My wife was ready to finish my bowl and have me finish her Asian crunch salad. Let's be clear, that thing was also very flavorful and had tons of texture. It was no chicken tinga but it was far and away better than anything else downtown. The best word to describe my lunch experience today? FLAVOR. Want to taste your soup, salad, or bowl? This is the place to come. The price sucks but you gotta pay to play baby. High quality ingredients with flavor cost. YMMV so I'm curious to see what my fellow Yelpers have to say.

I ate it anyway because I didn't want to waste it but next time will read the menu more carefully. Needless to say my egg and soy-sauge on an everything bagel was delicious with a side of fries potatoes and lemonade. Tulsi feels extravagant and upscale from the moment you enter. The lighting was lovely, each of the different lamps exquisitely lining the walls provided a golden hue throughout the space. We were seated immediately with no reservations. The atmosphere was quiet and cozy, great for couples to catch up and talk about their days or get to know one another. Our server was attentive and polite. He gave us time to peruse the menu at our leisure, while he brought out the gratis before-the-meal appetizer. It was like a crispy naan with three distinctly different sauces. It really was quite delicious. I ordered the Chicken Konkani and my partner had the Chicken Curry. As connoisseurs of a great many Indian restaurants, we quite enjoyed the entrees at Tulsi. I savored the coconut creaminess of the Konkani. I also tried my partner's curry, and it had a rich aromatic flavor as well. We didn't try dessert because we were simply too stuffed by the end. The choices were almost tempting enough to persuade me, but we refrained. Tulsi is for lovers, just like Virginia, so we were in great company. I wholeheartedly recommend giving this spot a chance. We will definitely be back to partake in the fine dining experience on offer here.

Craving pizza on a week night, I was out doing shopping in Willow Lawn, and decided to give &Pizza a try! It's a "choose your own ingredients" kind of layout similar to Chipotle, I love how they bake the pizza right in front of you. Let me just say all the ingredients are fresh and the crust was perfect, not too doughy but not super thin. I've since been back three times including the second location in the fan, great customer service and atmosphere at both locations, I always order my same go-to! Apparently it's DC based pizza chain, that I'm super happy is now in the RVA.

We opted for the Lil Roni pie and the "Hot in Here". It was close to 11 PM, our order was placed, food cooked and delivered so fast! I was really impressed... And completely satisfied with the pizzas. Both pies were hot, fresh and delicious. Lil Roni is great for the pepperoni lovers out there. The Hot in Here pie is spicy hot. They're not lying. I like spicy food, have a high tolerance, but I was shocked at how spicy they prepare this thing. Still, I liked it. I skimmed over the ingredients when ordering and didn't even notice it's a vegan pie with some plant based "chicken" on it. That part was a little strange and it was somewhat rubbery, but whatever. Overall, I was very pleased and we scarfed it all down. Bellies were happy!

The pity stars they received didn't justify for the fact that it was just bad. The mix of flavors are all over the place and the prices for a fast food chain are a bit high. They charge $7 for a burrito and if you would like to add on chicken, tofu, or falafel it is another $2 and beef is $3. Then you get the burrito, I was told that it is a large burrito and when I think large and for as long as they took to make, the burrito would be the size of a chipotle burrito. It comes out, and it is 1/3 the size, and for having a really short line it was pretty disappointing. On to the burrito, it looked pretty and that was the other reason for getting one star. Taste wise, they mixed too many flavors trying to make a tex mex burrito into an asian fusion / vegan place. Ultimately, it was a disappointment to see a healthy option that was poorly executed. They should really consider optimizing their process so patrons don't have to wait as long, focus on making the flavors balance/complement each other and not over power each other, and lastly why the heck do I have to pay extra for meat. $10-12 bucks for a horrible burrito makes me want to walk the 4 blocks to chipotle to get something that I know will be 100x better.
