Came for lunch. We ordered the tofu japanese wrap and chicken thai bowl with chili oil (extra) on the side. The portion sizes are huge! We could have easily split one meal, and had to take leftovers home. The food itself was flavorful with a bunch of fresh vegetables and ingredients. The proteins were prepared well. We ordered chili oil on the side, but it wasn't very spicy and more fragrant. I was imagining more of a umami chili crisp and would skip next time. Service was fast, we received our meal in under 10 minutes. There is seating both indoor and outdoors, and ample street parking nearby. read more

I LOVE Goatocado .. I'm a new vegetarian and they are so delicious and clean. They're not a "fake" healthy store where they use food with fillers because I've never felt bloated after eating there. I've tried the Vietnamese and Japanese bowl. My recent experience I added a side of rice noodles to my Japanese bowl and it was chef's kiss. I'll probably say that I love the Vietnamese the best so far but I still have others to try. My husband got the California tortilla and was shocked at how much he enjoyed it (why the camera didn't eat first). Anyways, I love stopping by here when we're in Richmond. My husband picked the Mexican ramen with gluten-free rice noodles, while my sister and I split a Mediterranean quinoa bowl with grilled chicken. Never wrote a review for a restaurant until today. I ordered the premium Billy Mac with extra Mac and they gave me the Mediterranean one with no extra Mac. Definitely should have checked the food before leaving with it. But what the heck it only had 4 pieces of pasta in it. Not to mention they just hate joy because they filled it with two massive pieces of kale and assorted the most random veggies together like I was a dog getting dinner scraps. Fresh, veg, moist Great for late lunch, healthy focus friends, cheap beers This is my second time visiting this restaurant, and honestly, the first time wasn't that memorable. I decided to give this another shot recently when I was craving veggie-heavy bites for dinner. The food itself is very flavorful. It seems as though there's a good use of fresh ingredients, and for the most part, I find that the flavors are pretty well suited for the ways in which the food is presented: in bowls, wraps, and, what seems to be a new addition, Ramen. You order on your own at a kiosk and are notified when your food is ready. The only downside to ordering at the kiosk is that you have to press each individual menu item to find out what exactly is on that item, so there's a lot of selecting, voiding, and selecting to avoid. I do not recall seeing any sort of physical or printed menu. There's some pretty lovely seating on a good day. You can sit outside, and there's also a bit of inside seating. It looks as though they have a few sides, a couple of options for four-dollar beers, and some house-made beverages. Personally, I have some thoughts about the steps in preparing the food. There are many inconsistencies with the size of vegetables, which sometimes look like a small piece of red onion or a huge slice and cluster of them. This could easily be overlooked. It just depends on who you are and what you like. Tofu is lovely. I'm not sure what the secret is, but it absolutely works. read more

There have been a few instances when it was drowned in aioli so I would recommend ordering with it on the side if that's a concern. You can order online or through kiosks. There is mostly outdoor seating, which can be limited on a busy day. There is a field next to it if you have a picnic blanket handy. read more

We were in Richmond for Sunday and for breakfast we were looking for a place to have Healthy Breakfast in Richmond Downtown. Seeing the amazing reviews and seeing that they have healthy bowls we decided to have brunch from Goatocado. Goatocado was around 15 minutes from our hotel and it has a parallel road parking. We entered the restaurant and saw it was beautifully decorated with seating available inside as well as outside. Along with breakfast bowls they also provide fresh organic food to buy. From the menu we decided to order Mexican Ramen Noodles and Thai Ramen Noodles. The service was good and we got our order in 5-7 minutes. We first had the Mexican Ramen Noodles with Organic Chicken and Fresh Egg. The bowl was delicious with fresh ingredients and amazing taste. Then we had the Thai Ramen Noodles with Organic chicken and fresh ingredients. Amazing bowl with delicious ingredients. This is a rather extreme hipster restaurant. Fortunately, it has outdoor seating. Ordering is online only under the current setup. While you can't hang around inside, I was glad to discover the restroom still open after a two hour drive. I tried a Mexican ramen, which delivered a mix of flavors precisely as ridiculous as it sounded. It came with a separate broth to pour on to the various ingredients, and it was a tomato and cilantro-ish broth poured on to a mix of noodles and black beans. I added some tastefully charred tofu. It was an interesting experience, but I'd probably go for something more Asian if I tried again. The menu has plenty of vegetarian options and plenty of variety, and would certainly merit another visit. read more

If I was asked where to get a healthy but still tasty meal, I'd 100% vote this restaurant. They grow their own produce which makes the meal so much better. My favorite meal is the Vietnamese quinoa bowl. Im unsure what they marinate their mushrooms with but they are amazing! The service is decently fast and there's always the option to order online. I loved it! So delicious! I bookmarked this spot on one of my last trips and forgot, so I am so glad I browsed my Yelp bookmarks today when in search of a quick lunch spot. Parking is street and can be bad at night (I know bc it's near Shyndigz which is a nightmare for parking at night) but I had no issues at 3pm on a Friday finding parking right out in front. I found super friendly and helpful staff inside who answered all my questions about options and sizes of portions and helped guide me towards a really good first choice. I like the concept - you choose a wrap or bowl and select the flavor profile and ingredients from presets like Japanese, California, Mediterranean and Vietnamese. They have house-made na'an wraps that I'm sure are amazing but I opted for lower carb on this trip. I chose a Vietnamese bowl with the quinoa and greens base for $8.75 because I wanted some mushrooms. It was a flavor win - so delicious - I inhaled it and literally loved every single bite. It was a large portion so I couldn't finish it - but I tried very hard. Overall - it comes with seared garlic-ginger mushrooms, diced cucumber, fresh herbs, and quick-pickled carrots, onion, red cabbage, and diakon radish. Topped with vegan basil aioli, peanut sauce, toasted sesame seeds and fresh avocado. Yum. I also tried the Billy Mac which is their amazing sweet potato kale chili (YUM) on top of their mac and cheese (noodles smothered in a creamy four cheese sauce topped with shredded gouda) then topped with vegan basil aioli and sharp white cheddar cheese. This stuff was AMAZEBALLS. Overall - everything was perfect. I was very happy with my meal, service, ambiance and experience. Food was out quickly and I will be sure to come back here again and again. It really hit the spot. read more
