Banginnnn chicken platter!!!!! The portion size is generous. The orders come out real fast. I did a pickup order because I wanted the food, but didn't wanna sit in the restaurant to eat. My order was already ready by the time I got there, so I just grabbed it and headed home. They don't have a private parking lot or anything, so you'll have to park at street parking. It wasn't a big deal for me cuz I found a spot that's like a minute walk to the front door. If you're parked in the side streets, they can be quite dark at night, so be careful, please! Again, I had the chicken platter. It was so good! I actually ended up having it for leftovers a couple times because the portion is very generous. It can be quite spicy as well, so if you're not used to spicy, I'd try something else. The different types of sauces can affect spice levels I think. I'm not sure lol I would definitely grab something from them again if I'm in the area!

Yum! Pros: Flavorful tender meat( 1/2 gyro meat and 1/2 chicken Very generous portions! Extremely kind employees who were helpful with explaining items I had questions about. Sauces-all good flavor and the red/hot spicy sauce was actually very spicy which is a good thing! Price! Cons: Nothing!

Got the chicken platter and it was delicious! Great large portion for the price. Chicken was juicy and fresh. The dining area was clean and had plenty of seating. The service was a little slow but I think the food quality and quality made it up.

Finally a chicken&rice place that's ACTUALLY just chicken and rice. No other fancy options aside from choice of chicken vs gyro, salads, rice, and sauces all in the familiar silver tray that's reminiscent of halal trucks you get in NYC. It's fast, efficient, and all for only about $12. Best of all they're open late nights. Definitively one of my favorites in RVA.

Chicken platter with white, green, and red sauces

So, I'm reeeallllly sick and tired of social media overhyping a lot of restaurants, but I must admit, social media came through on this one! The hype is real. I was in the mood for something tasty but straddling the line of healthy and unhealthy, so I figured some sort of "bowl" meal would hit the spot. This has been on my list for a minute (here and the DMV location), and I'm so happy that RVA has one now. I visited on a Saturday around noon and the place was empty. The guy behind the counter was quite patient with this first-timer. Although I wanted to try the fish platter, I decided that the chicken would be a good default choice for my first experience. As I was leaving, the guy arrogantly said something to the effect of, "See you next time," and I jokingly replied, "You're that confident it's THAT good?" Damn, he was right. I'll definitely be back. The platter is one of the most visually unappealing dishes I've recently had, but I'm not the type to turn my nose up at something that's not plated perfectly. The best tasting food isn't always photo-worthy. Took my to-go order home and it survived well on the 10-minute drive. Good lawd almighty, this ish was incredible! Chicken over rice and salad topped with flavorful sauces. Simple, but it's seasoned to perfection. I love a good green sauce (sorry to the cilantro haters) and got extra on the side. Next time, I don't think I'll get lettuce with my salad - just cucumbers, tomatoes, and chickpeas - so that I don't have to focus on eating all the lettuce at once and it can reheat more easily the next day. Speaking of which, love the aluminum packaging; I just popped the leftovers in the oven. I can't emphasize enough how amazing it is that they're open so late (midnight or 3am depending on the day). So helpful when almost every other restaurant shuts down at 9pm. I. Want. Some. More.

Platters - mixed chicken and lamb.

It's giving NYC food truck in RVA with a vibrant atmosphere and vibrant flavors! I had been to the location in Tyson's Corner VA so when I saw a review for the RVA location, I headed to see what it was all about! I kept it simple and had the mixed chicken and lamb platter, heavy on the veggies and a lighter on the rice with white sauce and a SPLASH of red sauce- because it packs a spicy punch! And, it did not disappoint! I prefer the chicken solo but I decided to mix it up! The lamb is typical gyro meat but the chicken is seasoned and so good! While I stuck with the classic platter, I will say that I was sad to see that some of the menu options that I saw on an IG review were not on the menu - hello fried fish platter and loaded fries! Please bring those back because I would love to try them! I must have gotten there at a great time because I went right up to the counter to place my order. No more than 5 minutes elapsed and there was a line! I expect it to be a popular spot. The portions are huge, the service is fast and they stay open super late! If you're in the area, check it out.

Excellent service, nice employees, clean space, and even better food! I could drink the white sauce. So excited to have this chain in Richmond, can't wait to go back already.

This is an easy to find restaurant in what I believe is downtown Richmond. It was clean and bright. The service was amazing and although the menu is simple the flavor is not. We ordered the platter. You get cucumber salad on the side then basmati rice, mine was topped with chicken, gyro, corn, white, red, and green sauce. So much flavor and you get a lot of food! I was with a group of 4 and none of us were able to finish our food but not to worry as it reheats very well! Can't wait to be in the area to try again! Hopefully more locations coming soon!

Picture it a platter of food for $12 (yes you read right) that's filled with fluffy seasoned rice, tender gyro and chicken (they offer fish and falafel too), black beans, chickpeas, corn, salad with a cucumber and tomato mix topped with white, red and green sauce as much as your little heart desires: it's not a dream it's a real place @dcgthe_best. Located downtown near VCU this cool vibe eatery is what your palate has been missing! Each bite is full of flavor so much so we ate it two days in a row, lol. It's seriously that good. Service is quick as its chipotle style spot (pick what you want) and food is served piping hot. Staff is nice and will help you navigate through the food options. You have different vessels to choose from (fries or pita) but the rice is stellar. If in the area do yourself a favor and check them out.

Ordered takeout of Gyro platter with rice, salad and green sauce on the side. It was great. Loved the green sauce, spicy and tangy. Could not finish the meal because I was so full. Great food and good prices.

It is fast casual - you order at the kiosk and grab a place to eat, listening for your number and/or text to alert you the food is ready. We arrived about 6pm on a Saturday night. It was busy and I grabbed one of the last two tables. It got very busy shortly after we placed our orders. The dining area is pretty big with plenty of bar seating around the windows. While we all ordered one after the other, our food didn't come out that way. Most of the food came out in about 25-30 minutes. The chicken was cooked perfectly. Juicy! Two people got tenders and three of us got sandwiches. The OG sandwich was very good, just messy! I ended up using a fork and knife bc it got too messy. The Mac and cheese was made with pimento cheese and was very good. My friend who got the fried green tomatoes said they were delicious and filling. Lots of goodies on top. Two friends enjoyed the collards. The only person who was underwhelmed was the person who got the Asian sandwich. Overall, if I wanted a good chicken sandwich and a Buttermilk and Honey was nearby, I'd place an order.

We walked in to find the staff bustling, cooking, and prepping orders, and the smell of some delicious fried chicken in the air. I saw the kiosks and was not too thrilled with the Wawa experience, but we gave it a shot anyway, since fried chicken is one of our favorites. The process was simple and allowed us to add or remove anything we could want, so that was nice. While walking to find a seat, we saw a person panhandling in the dining area, but the staff promptly removed him from the premises. I ordered us the Pimento Cheese Balls for an appetizer, and I chose the Fried Chicken and French Toast as my entree because I always try the "chicken and waffles" at every establishment that offers it. My partner ordered the OG Chicken Sandwich without tomato, and it came with crinkle-cut fries. It was about $40. The chef proclaimed our order was ready in quick succession, maybe three orders behind the guests before us. We waited about ten minutes, maybe fifteen at most. We picked up the orders from the counter, and there was a mix-up on the syrup, but the chef promptly rectified the situation. He was a no-nonsense kind of guy; straight to the point. He seemed firm, yet kind. It was clear the day had been a busy one; he even told us as much, which was great to hear (busy = fantastic food). The French toast squares looked like rye or pumpernickel, and they emitted a sweet aroma, a delightful hit of cinnamon and brown sugar. I drizzled the caramel syrup on my chicken and toast, sliced a piece, and paired a bite of chicken with the toast. I closed my eyes to savor the flavors: the toast was crunchy and almost gooey (yet, not overly so), the chicken was crunchy, the sweet cinnamon-y flavors from the toast, the caramel from the syrup, and the tender, moist chicken were a match made in culinary art. I cannot sufficiently describe the French toast in a way that would do it justice; it was crunchy and semi-gooey, and all scrumptious. I can only say it was the single best French toast that I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. Next, I tried the fried pimento cheese balls. Oh my. If you like mozzarella sticks, try these. I adored them: elevated fried cheese, for real. My partner enjoyed her sandwich as well; she ate everything except some of her fries. I saved half of my chicken and toast for today because I am like a treasure golem when it comes to delicious leftovers. I am going to air-fry the chicken and skillet-heat the toast back to its original goodness. I told the cooks that that was the best French toast that I have ever had, and I mean it. Do yourself a favor and try it if you're into French toast. This one is the GOAT. Side note: I spoke with the head chef outside, and he is from another branch (possibly Henrico?) to whip this location back into shape. Two words: "Nailed it."

When we first sat, we were handed a specialty menu and the regular menu to have multiple selections to choose from. My sister had the hanger steak that she enjoyed without sauce (now that's a good steak) and her sides were fingerling potatoes, and fried egg. Upon entering the restaurant, we were welcomed by the GM and seated immediately. I noted the modern appearance of the dining area with a back area hidden away for larger parties. Also, that explains the parking lot. I appreciated the concise menu options. I feel it's best when restaurants keep the meal choices simple and quality is derived through its ingredients, preparation, people, and service. I ordered the table a bucket o' sweet tots. If you like sweet potatoes and tots, the honey sriracha aioli dipping sauce paired incredibly well. I ordered the Hanger Steak (medium) and my partner ordered the Hot Nashville Chicken sandwich. The steak was tender and well-seasoned (salt and pepper, some butter) and melted in my mouth as I chewed. The vegetables were also flavorful, with the rosemary potatoes very lightly seasoned, and the asparagus was tender and delicious, if only a bit on the salty side. My partner's fried chicken fillet was enormous and dwarfed the bun it rested on. She cut a third off and used that for her meal. We ended up taking a giant piece of fried chicken home and some tots to boot. We heated up the leftovers in an air fryer tonight, which was a delicious reminder how fantastic that chicken's breading was. Our server's name was Drew, and he was an absolute gem. He was there at the right moment throughout our entire meal. Water getting low, here comes Drew. Need some sauce? You guessed it. The guy really made me feel like he had us covered. The GM came by to ask about our experience and we had a nice conversation about Richmond, restaurants, and local business. He advised us to check out other EAT Restaurant Group locations (the company that manages and runs Toast). I would feel remiss if I failed to mention the extensive bourbon library. Now, that is the perfect way to describe the bourbon selection. There are pages of bourbons, whiskeys, and scotches to choose from, so if you are a single-malt scotch kind of person, don't sleep on Toast.
