Overall great date night dinner tonight at Pinky's! It was a beautiful evening, so we opted to sit outside on their patio. Our waitress Lisa was very attentive and friendly. I ordered my favorite...lemon & pistachio salad and added char-grilled octopus. It was fantastic! Great bursts of flavor and the octopus was cooked perfectly. My boyfriend ordered the spicy bone-in pork chop and he said it really hit the spot! Definitely one of our favorite go-to date night restaurants!
I had high expectations based on the glowing reviews, but unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to the hype. We ordered one starter and two entrées. The ambience was disappointing, and our table was right next to the kitchen, which made the dining experience less enjoyable. By the time we left, our clothes smelled strongly of food. As for the food, it was mediocre at best. Considering the price, we expected something more memorable or innovative. The flavors were fairly standard and nothing stood out--they were comparable to what you'd find at any decent mid-range Italian restaurant, without the premium quality or creativity to justify the cost. Overall, it wasn't a terrible meal, but it definitely wasn't worth the price, and we left feeling underwhelmed. I don't think I'd return.
Back to Pinky's for a girlfriend early brunch. Enjoyed our wait staff, Nina, almost more than the meal. She took time to help us select our choices as well as lowering the volume for us boomers. Pinky's does not disappoint.
I wish I had a bigger stomach and I wish I was in town longer. I wanted to try everything off of their menu most everything., I'm hesitant to say all because I just don't remember was gluten-free or could accommodate gluten-free, all of their fryers are 100% gluten-free. I ate at the bar. The bartender helped me navigate all of the things I wanted to try and help helped me pair down best of the best since I was traveling and I couldn't take any leftovers. Bartender also helped me select a glass of wine to go with my dinner. Everything was phenomenal. I highly suggest the octopus. I also suggest a sandwich. Their gluten-free bun was amazing. The broccolini that I had was good. I just personally prefer mine to be more well done than it was and the lemon aïoli that goes with the fries..... good night. It was the best thing that I've ever had. Cannot wait to come back to Richmond to go specifically to this restaurant
I just love this place. The vibe is amazing, the staff is kind and attentive, the food is always amazing. I especially appreciate their gluten free offerings. My mother is gluten free and I struggle to find a restaurant for her when she visits. It's nice that she can order basically anything here and she doesn't have to worry. I also love their drinks and their mocktails. Overall an amazing spot and I'm always glad to see them busy!
Came on a Friday evening for dinner! It was so hard to find parking, and the place was at capacity so it was super noisy. Otherwise the vibes were great. We ordered two tapas (lamb and tuna) and one entree (chicken piccata). The chicken piccata was my favorite, and the lamb was pretty good too! I was a little disappointed by the tuna though - it seemed like a creative take on the dish when reading the menu, but when we actually tried it, the tuna was mid.

The drinks are delicious and I love that mocktails were available! Our server Lisa was extremely sweet and helpful for our large party. Moderately priced but beware happy hour is only $2 off normal prices. Would come back for the bar scene and drinks!
Food and drinks were amazing! Glad i actually reserved a table for once! It was pretty packed and there were a couple of parties going on. The staff were super friendly and attentive for us.
We came on a Thursday night around 8:00 p.m. The parking situation here is usually daunting, though, we did manage to snag a spot nearest to The Brooklyn. Upon entering, the atmosphere was quite modern and welcoming: a bright and airy vibe you would expect of a famous brunch spot. The bay doors and windows open up the space making it feel even larger. We were seated immediately without a reservation. There were a few tables available, as well as spots at the bar. Our server's name was Jane. She maintained a sweet and kind personality and was knowledgeable about the menu. Any questions we had that she didn't immediately know the answer to, she verified with the chef to be sure. They are very conscious about food allergies here. The menu is clearly curated by chefs with an exceptional understanding of food science, which also comes at an elevated, albeit worthwhile, price. We placed orders for three tapas plates. The zucchini frittas, the spring burrata, and the chicken tirokroketes. Each dish was light and springy, having a similar culinary parity to The Brooklyn's cuisine. Those three shared between two people were enough that we felt full by the end. We ordered the seasonal cheesecake for dessert. It was rich, scrumptious, and melted in the mouth with little coaxing, the nuts offering some additional crunch. Pinky's provides a warm and comfortable atmosphere to bring a date. The ambiance and mood were relaxed, not too loud for talking or getting to know someone. The staff were equally attentive and worked diligently to accommodate their guests. Our server Jane was very accommodating and her tip was well deserved. I would recommend checking out Pinky's if you haven't already.
We were greeted by friendly people and seated for our reservation promptly. Pinky's Restaurant has a contemporary design.The restaurant is roomy and comfortable. Ianna was our server she was stellar with personality and service. She was training a new colleague and she was very nice too. Ianna was the perfect person to train a new server. Customer service appears to be a priority at Pinky's. Drinks, appetizers and entrees were served with precise timing. Drinks and water were refilled as needed. There are many choices on the menu. We chose two tapas items for appetizers for our table. There are many great tapas choices. Three of just had to have the Spicy Lamb Risotto entree. It sounded so good and the entree lived up to all of our expectations. The risotto was mildly spicy and had great flavor. The lamb was cooked shredded and was seasoned just right. My wife had the Rockfish Cartoccio which featured a healthy portion of succulent rockfish, done to perfection, broccolini and toasted crostini. A great choice? It has been a long time since we visited Pinky's but we will be sure to put it on the top of our list.
IMO Scott's Addition is a challenging area to find parking, so it can be frustrating. We found Pinky's and it was a spacious spot, not cozy but open and airy. The Caesar salad was nice enough and the meatballs were good; I had the Giardino Board which was presented in a bit of a mess. I wasn't super impressed. Just a pleasant lunch. We found it expensive, the service was fine, but nothing to "write home about".
Well I forgot to take more photos. The place was popping when we got there and we loved it. The service was excellent. Plates were large and everything was exceptionally good. Was highly recommended to us as they have both a good gluten free selection as well many vegetarian choices. A must go place if you are in town. I do recommend booking a table.
Pinky's is such a lovely restaurant with a diverse and delicious menu. I came here with my parents for dinner while they were in town, and between the three of us, we shared five small plates of varying sizes. The crispy pork belly was delicious and so flavorful. We felt like the octopus was a little bit overcooked, and I wish the fries were crispier. Our waiter recommended the Atlantic crab risotto, and he did not lead us astray. This portion size is very generous, and the crab and corn provide a lovely contrast of flavors. The pistachio topping added a lovely texture as well. We also shared one of the paninis and really enjoyed it. The waitstaff were very attentive, and the food was quick to come out. Overall, we had a lovely time, and I would definitely love to come back to try more of the menu.

This place punches well above its weight class. There were a couple things that really impressed me tonight. The food first of all was incredible. Some very tender octopus, the fries are perfect for dipping more on that later. And the meatballs were great, but that Caesar salad salad is truly amazing with all of the seasonings and their homemade Caesar dressing. The fact that they make all of their sauces in house, I give a nod to the chef for that because they have some incredible sauces. One of the things that really impressed me was the fact that I ordered the fries and the waitress asked if I wanted the sampler sauces. I was thinking that that was going to be an additional charge, but I was wrong. The sampler was included with the fries and that came with about five or so of their homemade sauces. The Caribbean bean chili was my favorite, but I also enjoyed their ranch and lemon aïoli as well. They were really all great. I just want to give a shout out to pinkies for not nickel and diming the consumer when so many other restaurants and chains do that. I will be back off of that level of Customer Service service alone. I was also very impressed with the portion sizes. When you hear Tapas that typically means high price, low quantity of food. But here I feel like you actually get what you pay for. I was very impressed. A place with amazing food and a good bang for your buck is five stars any day from me. Really good Mediterranean food! The food exceeded our expectations. The service was just okay. Here are some of the pros and cons! The restaurant has ample seating both indoors and outdoors. We dined here twice in one weekend because of convenience and the food being good enough to repeat! We did not have reservations either time, and we were seated right away. There was space for our stroller. The inside of the restaurant is like a big garage, and it's quite loud (but our baby likes the loud noise). Outside, they have big umbrellas to provide some shade. Highlights from the menu include the grilled octopus, caesar salad, meatballs, and desserts (both cheesecake and olive oil cake). The meatballs were so tender and saucy. The octopus was cooked well, and the seasoning was great. The only dish we didn't love was the scallops. The scallops were overwhelmed by the accompanying chorizo in the dish. The server we had the first night was not friendly or warm. It seemed like she did not care to be there. But there were no mistakes or major issues. We enjoyed Pinky's, and it was a good choice for brunch on a busy weekend and for dinner without a reservation. I'd recommend checking it out. read more

I tired their summer burrata which was good as a starter. The menu seems to be very diligently curated. And they keep updating menu as I saw from google, some of the dishes were updated, which is good. For the main course I tried their swordfish, the dish had a smell of fish which was not something I prefer but the sauce and other things were totally amazing. The place itself was a bit crowdy and not very nice to view but well organized. The service was very good and I liked the experience. We also tried their shrimp, they were imported from New Zealand which made this experience very exotic. read more

Such a cute brunch spot! The interior is bright and airy with tall ceilings and giant windows. They also have a little patio which is wonderful for those warmer days. I got a glass of orange wine and the grilled shiitake mushroom bowl. The orange wine was fabulous, but I'm also biased because I've never had an orange wine I didn't like. The bowl was so delicious and fresh. The star of that bowl were the potatoes for sure though. The mushrooms were good but honestly didn't add much to the bowl. But the kale was well-dressed and it was such a nourishing bowl without feeling too heavy. read more

Great experience. Excellent quality. Interesting ambience. Food/drinks: Fabulous! Honestly, no complaints. The fish was delicious. The fries with the dipping sauces were fun. The kids menu was reasonable for a higher end restaurant. The drinks were creative, complex, and top notch. Service: Excellent! I wish I remembered our server. I believe he also came up with one of the cocktails on the menu. He was responsive, professional, helpful but not imposing. Warm and effective service. Ambiance: The restaurant is in a repurposed warehouse and has a fresh, bright, modern feel. I liked that it felt high end without feeling stuffy or pretentious. Kid-friendly? Yes! Changing table, high chair, and kids menu all available. read more
Came here with my wife and baby for Valentine's Day. The restaurant itself is nice, I bet it's really cool in the summer when the doors are open. The service was honestly awesome, the server and even the hosts were extremely accommodating and went above and beyond. We were a little late and called them and told them and they were totally fine with it. Our table was close to the kitchen so the host asked us if we'd like to change tables to get away from the noise which was very thoughtful. The food was top notch. We got the grilled octopus as an appetizer. The octopus was cooked perfectly and that black sauce that it comes on was really good. I got the bone in pork chop and my wife got a chicken pesto sandwich. The pork chop was cooked absolutely perfect and everything on the plate meshed well. Definitely will be back and highly recommend this place read more

They serve Mediterranean food. Although we made a reservation, we still had to wait 20 minutes, but the manager was nice about it and "reimbursed" us for our time. All of the drinks were pretty strong. Mine was supposed to be sweet, but it was still strong for my taste. For the entree, I got the lamb chop. It was a bit on the pricier side and a bit salty, but the food was good overall. For the dessert, I tried the Tiramisu and the cheese cake. Everything tasted fresh, but I liked the cheese cake more because the Tiramisu was a bit dry. Overall, I'd come back if there was a birthday dinner, but probably not for any regular occasion. read more

Came for brunch on a weekend with a reservation around noon and we were seated promptly. There was a bit of a wait for the food to arrive, but we were able to enjoy our drinks in the meantime. The ambiance was naturally bright + pink + positive. I had the Secret Garden cocktail which was refreshing with strawberry and lime flavors. The serrano ham omelette was tasty, though the ham on top had parts that were extra salty. The drizzle of harissa aioli was a nice touch. The greens on the side were fresh and had a lemon dill dressing. Our server was friendly and prompt, though there were a few moments when we felt a bit rushed towards the end of our meal. Overall, a good brunch experience! read more

I am sorry to give this rating to Pinky's, one of my favorite restaurant when I gave 5 * two years ago. All foods were cold, the calamari's were tiny, soggy and cold. My friend had Pinky's special meatballs, cold with some soggy arugula. Coffee, cold. The server was very nice and brought a new cup of coffee, after taking a long time, came a little warmer. Unfortunately by that time my desert was eaten, which I wanted to have with coffee. This is the third time I have been there. First time I was very impressed, second time at happy hour was ok, third time very disappointed. I guess there will be no 4th time. read more

I've been to Pinky's several times now and each visit is better than the previous one. The menu isn't large but it does cover all the bases and is very dietary inclusive. They use fresh ingredients in their food and drinks. The cocktail program is quite exquisite. I enjoyed a cocktail with flower sprinkles in it. This restaurant is located in Scott's addition and does not have its own designated parking lot. Finding parking can be an adventure so plan ahead for that. Overall I enjoyed dining at Pinky's and look forward to my next visit! read more

The food was delicious, especially the grilled octopus, which was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The staff was attentive and friendly, making me feel very welcome. The ambiance was charming and relaxing, making it a great place to enjoy a meal. Highly recommend! read more
A Mediterranean restaurant featuring creative dishes near downtown Richmond. The place was not easy to find, and it looked humble outside. However. the inside had nice decors -- including the diningware and napkins, all of which correspond to the name of this restaurant. I came there twice during my visit to Richmond. First time was for brunch. I ordered a crispy chicken & chile sandwich sub a side of fruits, plus a side broccolini. The fried chicken was drizzeld with honey and tasted spicy-sweet. The Fresno chiles was juicy and sweet, which paired greatly with the chicken. However, the bread they use was not baguette (indicated by the menu). Worse, some grapes were spoiled. The broccolini was good. The second time was for dinner. Ordered Rockfish Cartoccio because I never tried having fish baked in a "bag". The dish looked interesting. The meat was tender. However, there was little fennel and everything was too salty for me. Plus, they charged $8 for just several pieces of bread! Service was Okay. Vibe was a bit loud but I like it. So in general it is a good place to try/learn some new dishes but not a "safe" place to have an amazing meal. read more
We went to Pinky's to celebrate my wife's' birthday and we had an amazing time! The charred octopus was on the level and the Hasselback potato (potatoes cut about halfway through into thin, fan-like slices) was the perfect compliment. The cocktails were also picture perfect. For the main entrée I had the 18 oz. bone-in ribeye which was to die for. They cooked it a perfect medium-rare and it with a big glob of their "Pinky's steak butter" which I devoured. Just like the charred octopus the accompanying fingerling potatoes were a perfect match. I tried a few bites of the lemon-parmesan arugula but for me arugula tastes like licking a battery. My dark leafy greens of choice are Kale, Collards, and spinach. My friends got the Crispy Chicken Piccata and let me tell you, Pinky's hooks you up when it comes to portion size. Nobody was leaving hungry that night. The chicken piccata comes with broccolini and I should have asked for that instead of what a nickel tastes like (i.e. arugula). The birthday girl had the Pesto Chicken Panino and enjoyed it. That dish also came with a side of dark leafy car batteries. Lasty, the 4th member of the squad got the seasonal risotto which was cooked very well. Overall, the food was excellent, the service was lovely, and the setting was super pleasant. If you don't enjoy Pinky's, you don't really like good food, service and a fun, albeit loud, atmosphere. It's a perfect place to start my birthday week restaurant crawl and beach vacation. We made a last-minute reservation for 12:30. When we arrived the restaurant was crowded but there were some tables available. We were sat at a 2-top by the bar. I'm not a fan of 2-top tables. I wish restaurants would just do 4-top tables or larger 2-top ones. There's just not enough room to spread out a little. It's the equivalent of being an adult at the kids' table on Thanksgiving. The table was wobbly too. I hate to complain but at this point I was feeling like my expectations were too high. When our server Megan came to the table I asked if there was a way to level the table and apologized for asking her but she very graciously went and got the thing that could slide under the leg, making it stable. Ahhh. So much better. We started with drinks...smoke and chill and the manhattan. Megan brought water over when she first greeted us so we were set. The menu. Oh my gosh...the menu! Well, I should say menus. We were there on Saturday, which means brunch and lunch, plus cocktails and wine. And they had a couple more cocktails on special on a little stand that were for the Flying squirrels. Nice! I've always wanted to be one of those people who could just say 'we will have one of everything,' like the judges on Top Chef when they are doing restaurant wars. But we don't have that luxury because frankly I hate food waste and I can only eat so much. So calamari for my husband and scallops for me. Y'all, go look at the scallop picture I posted. It was amazing! It had a cream sauce with a hint of spice, polenta cakes and a garlicky gremolata with pickled fresno chilis. There was also a sherry reduction. Holy cow This was good. Honestly, if I had that with some crusty bread or pasta...I need to get back to Pinky's before that leaves the menu. Go there, Get the scallops and a slide of bread and thank me later. For mains we got the red snapper cooked with wine, butter, garlic, saffron and fennel. It had tomatoes too. It was baked in parchment so steamed perfectly with the flavors intermingled. It came with grilled bread and asparagus. I ate as much as I could but ended up giving half the fish to my husband. I wanted to make sure I had room for dessert. Tiramisu and Pinky's version of an espresso martini. Probably the best I've ever had. I was around for the first round of espresso martinis being a thing in the 90s so I've had my fair share. This one is next level. My husband has been on the hunt for Strega, a digestive he used to drink in Boston, where he is from. He said Pinky's is a cool bar so they'll have it. I said no way, but lo and behold, it showed up at our table, making the day special for my husband too. What an amazing meal to start a great week. If you haven't tried Pinky's, you must go. Especially if you like Mediterranean-style food and enjoy amazing seafood. Can't wait to go back. Megan is on my list of fun servers. Went to check out Pinky's during restaurant week and I was really impressed with everything. Our waiter was extremely nice and made me and my friend feel really welcomed and checked up on us often. We never felt rushed when we were trying to order and they offered some great suggestions. Started off with cocktails , I ordered the marigolds vs peonies which was great, has really light and has an airy feel to it which was perfect for a nice day and also fits into that coastal Mediterranean theme. When the food came out, everything looked as good as it tasted. I ordered the seasonal risotto and you have the option to add a protein to it if you like and I chose crab. My friend ordered the Atlantic crab French omelette with a side of potatoes, and we both agreed that everything hit the mark. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and a nice patio area, which is great for a sunny day like when we went. We went on a Saturday evening and the place was packed at peak dinner time. I would recommend a reservation, which can be made on RESY. Everything we had was delicious from the cocktails to our food to the dessert. Our server was super friendly and patient with us. We never felt rushed although we were admittedly there for awhile catching up. Half the menu is tapas. The server let me know they are large enough to be an entree for an individual. The restaurant was quite dark and my only gripe from the experience was that the whole space was super smoky since they have an open kitchen. read more
We were able to snag a reservation here on a Friday and even with the reservation we had to wait about 15 minutes before being seated since it was so busy! It's a large building with high ceilings so it was a bit loud but we were still able to have easy conversation. Once we sat down and ordered our food, we could see why it was som popular! All the items we ordered were delicious. I ordered the secret garden cocktail which was light and refreshing which is exactly what I wanted. I loved that each menu item had a unique ingredient or twist to it. For our appetizers, we got the burrata and meatballs. The burrata had apples and walnuts with it which really added to the dish! It was so good!! I'd definitely get it again. The meatballs were great as well - pretty standard meatballs but tasty!! I got the seasonal risotto for my entree and my husband got the chicken picatta. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals!! We will definitely be keeping this on our list of places to return to! read more
