After COVID, I always go to a restaurant with the mindset that the service and the food will not both be great it's usually one or the other.... But this place blew my mind. From the moment we came in and were waiting, the owners were offering beverages before we were even seated. I thought that really showed amazing customer service. As vegetarians sometimes going to restaurants can be tricky to find options but Grapevine has plenty of vegetarian items on the menu and also will accommodate any custom needs. We got the Vodka Pasta and replaced the chicken with vegetables. My favorite part was the hummus. It was so tasty and smooth, you could taste the flavor in every bite. I even took some to go because I liked it so much. The owner was very involved and came around multiple times to ask if we needed anything and how the food tasted. My parents are business owners themselves so they really appreciated someone who was so hands on. We were all so highly impressed and will definitely be back. We're started out by sharing the Spanakopita appetizer. The pastry was warm right out of the oven and the yogurt with spices made the dish simply mouthwatering! Our main course selections of shrimp kabob and Greek pasta were prepared to perfection. Now onto the drinks...our margaritas were the BEST! We were able to have them made with our favorite 1800 tequila which only enhanced the flavor. My husband and I felt forced to order a second round of them!! The service was excellent. Our waitress Kelsey possessed such a pleasant and effervescent personality which made our visit that much more fun! Very popular family run restaurant serving Greek and Italian dishes. I met a friend for dinner around 5:45pm and there was a crowd waiting to be seated. Our wait wasn't too long thankfully. There are several different rooms, each decorated differently, but all with Mediterranean themes. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. I got the chicken parmigiana, which came with baked spaghetti and a side salad. It was very tasty and the portion size was generous. The dessert cart looked amazing, but I had no room for anything else-the waitress mentioned that her son always orders dessert first. I may have to try that next time. It really just tasted like cheap grocery store spaghetti with meat sauce and cheese that was baked in the oven. The chicken fettuccine Alfredo was definitely better. I ordered a Greek beer and it was good and light. The service was pretty good here. Our waitress was attentive and got us anything we needed. The ambiance was super cozy. It had a bunch of Greek and Italian decorations all over the restaurant and patio. We ate outside on the covered patio and it was beautifully setup. I liked the vines and decorations they had setup. Came in on a Wednesday during lunch and ordered the Mother Mary Special ($14). It was a spaghetti dish with grilled chicken, feta, mozzarella cheese. The pasta was cooked very well and tasted buttery and cheesy on top. Chicken was seasoned well and moist. This was a big serving where you could have enough leftover for a second meal. The Grapevine has been around since I was in middle school '94-'96 so I have seen the Trak family in action for a while. An always welcoming atmosphere that made for great date nights and special occasions place. I was in for the surprise of my life time when my (now)wife and I decided to host our wedding reception. The respect and attention to what we wanted our space to look was their number one priority. They worked with us, and I mean WITH us from start to finish as they were cleaning up WITH us making sure we had everything packed in our car as we left. During the preparation Rita, sat with me and Jacqueline and helped us construct the perfect atmosphere for us and our guests. And when I mean worked with us three of the waitstaff stayed until 12 midnight with the rest of us to set up for the next day. They did most of the coordinating with our cake shop to insure proper delivery and set up times. And in all the bustle of our day we didnt notice until at the end that my wifes wedding dress(that had gotten wet when it rained on us)was leaving muddy streaks on the floor behind her as she was going to greet all our family and guests. One of the waitresses had not only been serving our guests but as Jacqueline walked around she had a towel under her foot that she had been using to discreetly clean up the mud that was unknowingly being smeared across the floor. THAT is class, THAT is respect and THAT folks is professionalism at its absolute finest! And the kicker to all of this was that we got married in October of 2020 when COVID was in full swing. While the website indicated they didn't take reservations, I guess for mother's day they did? This review took a while because I thought I had already reviewed, but I'm still so happy with the experience. There was no answer by phone except for once when I was picked up but never greeted and after 3 minutes of listening to the sound of a busy restaurant, I went in person to ask for a table. It was the day before mothers day and apparently there was a wedding, other mothers, and a prom going on. Even with all that going on, the service was still incredible! We did have to wait about 2 hours for a table, but again, there was a lot going on that night. The bar was serving while we waited and both the drinks and food were excellent! Well worth the price!
