Demi's is nestled in a little neighborhood strip. The restaurant itself isn't very large but they manage to fit a fair amount of tables and they have a bar. They're open Tuesday through Saturday and only for dinner. Reservations can be made on Resy. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. The service was great. All the food and cocktails we had were all pretty good and reasonably priced. The orecchiette dish was the star. It was flavorful and creamy. I do wish the breading on the calamari stayed put. It's pretty dark inside so it makes a cute date night spot.

Delicious pasta, good service and fun aesthetic. Specifically the salmon puttanesca, bread pudding dessert and lamb kabobs. Nice neighborhood restaurant.

Had a great dinner at Demi's the other night. Our food was delicious and the dips were fantastic. The fan favorite was the red pepper and whipped feta dip. We also got a cotes du rhone red wine which was perfect for our meal. The food portions were a little smaller than expected, compared to their sister restaurant, but the flavors were rich. Out of the two kabobs, chicken piccata, and orchiaetta pasta, we all agree the later had the best taste with a creamy sauce and spicy Italian sausage. We were too full for dessert, but there seemed to be a wide array of options. The only thing making this 4 starts instead of 5 is the staff. While they were busy, a little kindness goes a long way. We felt forgotten on multiple occasions and only got attention when eye contact was made, yet they attended to their other tables for lengthy periods of time. It seemed like multiple employees were not happy to be there, which was a bit off-putting. The restaurant ambiance itself was calm, but lively, and seating was well-spread-out. Would try here again in hopes that some people were just having an off night.

Had such a lovely first experience at Demi's that I'm looking forward to going back! Chris our waiter was a gem and definitely helped my friend and I make the best choices for our meal. For appetizers we decided on the octopus and a dip sampler in which we chose the htipiti (whipped feta dip) & the melitzanosalata (roasted eggplant dip). The octopus was grilled and seasoned to perfection however I don't feel it being served with pita complimented it in any way. The feta dip was our favorite out of the two dips because while the eggplant dip was good it had such a strong raw garlic flavor, so if that's your thing go for it! For entrees we chose two of the specials of the night which were the scallops with a leek veloute and chicken thighs in some type of North African spices/sauce.. both were delicious! As for the ambiance, it's intimate yet friendly. Perfect for a romantic evening out or catching up with a friend. When I made the reservation for the same day there was plenty of options available however while we were there it filled up quickly so I'd say reservations are recommended although they do accept walk ins. Demi's reminds me of Stella's so much I had to ask if they are affiliated and to my surprise they are not.

My husband made a reservation at 5:30 on a Saturday and were surprised how busy it was for opening at 5. Our server, Chris, was lovely, kind and attentive. The food was spectacular. Highly recommend the butternut squash soup (served as a special tonight). We each got a pasta dish and both were amazing. The ambiance and decor were lovely.

Demi's gets it done! Mediterranean food here in the states can be overcooked, dull, and doused in too much sauce and low quality oils...but not here! The chefs at Demi's did their research. I highly recommend the: Moroccan fried cauliflower and fried eggplant - the flavors here are gonna take you right to the northern coast of Africa and you're going to love it. (For my anti-fried food folks, it's a really light fry and YOLO). Beef empanadas app - the olive brine & touch of sweetness is an Argentinian dream! I tend to be a 'homemade pasta only' snob, but the linguine w sundried tomatoes & artichokes was so perfectly balanced with just the right touch of lemon, capers, & oil - whew, talk dirty to me. It was a salt, fat, acid, heat trip all night!! Choose any 4 dips/spreads you want, just make sure the Melitzanosalata (eggplant) is on there! Our server was wonderful, literally affirming all the choices I made all night long! Welp, we'll be back!

DEMI's is a cozy Mediterranean restaurant snuggled in the heart of Northside. We went here to celebrate my 44th birthday. I made an excellent choice because the service was spot on. We were a party of four and started with delicious cocktails and appetizers. The grilled octopus was pretty good and my only gripe is there wasn't more of it. For the main courses my wife had the SAUTÉED SHRIMP AND CHORIZO, I had the ADANA KEBAB, and the breakout rock start was the GORGONZOLA AND PEAS. Maybe I'm just a sucker for Gorgonzola cheese but it was slap yo mama good. There are a lot of great restaurants around Richmond and I feel like DEMI's has carved out a nice place for itself. They market themselves as the Jewel of the Northside and I concur.

First time here and it was a good experience. Ambience and service was good. We got the Chicken Souvlaki and Orecchiette Alla Campagna - the orecchiette was definitely our favorite. A perfect balance of flavors. The chicken souvlaki was good but the rice and chicken could have used more flavor. We also tried the spanakopita and the beef empanadas.

If they aren't part of the decor, it was a treat nonetheless. We stepped inside from the rain with a parking spot very near the door. I snapped a pic on the way in to capture it's essence. We risked another walk-in with no reservations, and we snagged two prime end seats on the communal table. There were two open seats at the bar as well; might come in handy some other rainy Thursday night. The server, Murphy M., judging by the receipt, who helped my partner and I with our order, was a gracious host and incredibly well-practiced. It was a master class in serving, made effortless by him. He could not have been more accommodating, as we saw him appear inevitably at the exact right moments. Our server offered us bread and oil before the appetizer. The bread here is made fresh daily. It was so soft, I could not tell the difference from store bought. The food was exquisitely well prepared, the chefs and kitchen staff are immensely skilled. The appetizer was presented to us within a relatively short amount of time. We had time for a short discussion before the it arrived. The Tiropita was described as "four pieces of heaven." Accurate. The phyllo was thin and crisp, and the feta was creamy and delicious. I was careful not to bite too hard and ruin my pants. I had the Kotopoulo, which is a feta-brined oven-baked chicken with lemon and herbs served with lemon potatoes. The dish was cooked to perfection. The cooked potatoes were exactly as I like them, soft yet held their shape. It was an excellent meal, if a bit unwieldy (it's like half a rotisserie chicken, basically). My partner had the Hilopites, an egg noodle dish with giant beans, pine nuts, kalamata olives, cherry tomatoes, and feta, in a creamy, savory sauce that I couldn't begin to describe with mere words. The meals were both stunning, made unclear by my disastrous photography. All that being said, I did not really enjoy my meal as I was expecting. Maybe it's me, maybe it's today, or maybe the flavors simply weren't what I am accustomed to with the dozens of Greek restaurants from my past. I'm uncertain, and that's okay sometimes. Either way, it was a fantastic experience, and I will dine here again.

Started off on a high note with our apps - the complimentary bread was good but I'm still thinking about the kale salad and broccolini. Great way to start the meal with some refreshing veggies. The Jalapeno in the kale didn't contribute much but the dressing with mint was super fresh and lite. The broccolini had a spicy chili oil topping which gave it the zing it needed. The pasta unfortunately fell a little flat for me - we got the amatriciana with rigatoni. Didn't have the spicy kick you'd typically expect. The pancetta didn't really stand out. And the most disappointing part was seeing the kitchen use De Cecco pasta boxes. Not that I expect every restaurant to hand make pasta but for a $20 dish hoped they'd be using something nicer than what I have in my pantry. The roasted chicken was unexpectedly good! The chicken had a great sear though I'll admit it was a little dry in the inside. However i can look past all that because of how delicious the pan sauce was and the mashed potatoes were also really good. Last but not least- really happy bartender convinced us to get their version of a tres leches cake. It was a really nice way to end the meal and i would simply come back just to have the cake again. Next time we come - we'll need to try for redemption round and opt for more of their entree dishes!
