I have never been a "salad lover", but since I've found this place, I'm eating salads EVERY day. The location is impeccably clean at any time of the day. The best part of this location are the employees. Starting with Eva the manger (lunchtime). She can do 5 things at one time, with every thing done to perfection. Next, the salad preparers and choppers couldn't be nicer. And finally the cashiers are friendly, welcoming and diligent. I totally recommend this Chopt to anyone who is in the area, promising you will not be disappointed 6/26/19 Ok, I'm back again! I have been to this Chopt location EVERY Day now for 3 months. I've met another manager, her name is Jackie. She has been just as friendly and helpful as Eva. There is not one thing I don't like about this location nor is it lacking anything. Always immaculately clean! Oh, did I mention the choppers & the cashiers? They are awesome!! read more

While I find the food selection in Midtown to be very...mid, you cannot argue the fact that there are a ton of quick service spots to choose from for lunch. Since I periodically work in the area, I have been slowly making my way through the selection - there really is something for everyone which isn't surprising since there are a ton of office buildings here. Anyway, I was in the mood for something light the other day and a salad sounded ideal. I noticed this Chopt was in the area, so off I went. This was my first experience at a Chopt, but I had heard of them before and have been to similar quick service salad spots. I noticed that they had an app where you can pre-order, so to save time I did that. The selection was typical of a salad spot - nothing too out of the ordinary but I noticed that they also had a selection of wraps and warm bowls which was nice to see. I browsed their summer menu and the Sweet Summer Cobb Salad sounded great - it was more like a cousin to a typical Cobb, meaning it didn't have the egg or tomato but put in almonds and beaches in its place. The salad was pretty good, the flavors worked well together and the agave dijon vinaigrette it was dressed with was just the right amount of sweet. Service was fine, my salad was ready by the time I got there - and overall I had a fine experience at Chopt. I hesitate to call it something noteworthy, but also it wasn't bad. If I'm in the mood for a Midtown salad again I would return. read more

This was my first time going to Chopt in a decade, and now I remember why I don't go there. Service wise, the staff was fine, but it is a bit hard to hear the staff when they ask you questions such as what you want in your bowl. The wait wasn't too bad during the lunch rush as people have placed to be and can't be on the line too long. While Chopt is known for its variety of salad bowls and wraps, I found my Blissful Harvest Bowl to be filled more with grains. The ratio of grains: protein wasn't in proportion and not well balanced. The grains, as they call it, are a large amount of rice mixed with a small amount of quinoa, which was a bait and switch, in my opinion. I expected a healthier grain selection, and I particularly didn't like the goat cheese or the balsamic vinaigrette. I did add some extras to my purchase, chips, and a mediocre chocolate chip cookie. It was all under $20, which is expected in nyc. read more

I think this location got too used to the mad lunch rush as a result of being in midtown because their service has gone downhill. I went with a coworker at about 1:30pm for quick salad between meetings. I know I've ordered from this location from the first time they opened but stopped going with as much frequency due to the lack of good service. So after much time apart, I was looking forward to a decent experience. I expected too much for the $15 salad. I ordered a spicy Sonoma salad. The order was taken quickly and properly. The person making the order made the salad- and when I got the bowl, I saw no avocado and no cherry peppers. I grabbed a fork before ringing up, and did a quick poke, brought it back to him and let him know. He looks at the bowl, asked the type of salad, sees no avocado and looks like he's going to the next station to get one, then I say there's also no cherry peppers. He turns to the person next to him and then they proceed to pick through the salad with their gloved hands, and tell me it's there, like I can't see there's no red in a sea of green leaves, as they pull it apart. Then the look like they're about to give it back to me after putting the leaves back in the bowl. I know that my measly $15 means nothing to Chopt, least of all this location, where they never get your order correct, skimp on quality and service, but you will not get my money. And I will be sure that every colleague I have in the midtown area goes anywhere else but here: Cava, Dog, Naya, Just Salad, Blue Apron....anywhere but this place. Hire better staff. I complained to the manager, pointed out the staffers and left to buy my meal next door at Blue Apron. Too bad Yelp mandates a minimum of 1 star because you should get none. read more

I ordered a Chopt salad for lunch pick-up through the app, to get some vegetables in after some heavy holiday feasting. This Chopt location is so crowded during peak lunch hours on weekdays and is very poorly organized. They have shelves at the front for pick-up that are not used. Instead, there are two registers for check-out (if you get your salad made using the line) and pick-up. When you give your order number, they look through their shelves to see if your salad is ready. If it isn't, sometimes they print off your ticket number to get it made right away, sometimes they bring it to the back kitchen, I'm honestly not sure how they determine what to do. For my first attempt, the employee didn't see my salad on the shelves, although the app told me it was ready. Ten minutes later, I went to the other employee who did see it on a bottom shelf, so it must have been overlooked the first time. I saw two customers leave because their pick-up orders weren't ready after waiting for awhile, and they said to just cancel them. There is no consistent process, and it is more of a mob than a line of people. In regards to food, I love their warm Harvest bowl, which has the perfect salty/sweet flavor profile with warm grains, lemon herb dressing, chicken, brussel sprouts, sweet potato, kale and pumpkin seeds. It is a little pricey ($14), but generous portion sizes and much more filling than some competitors like Sweetgreen. If it were for the food only, I would give it 4 stars, but deducting a star for the experience. read more

This was my first time in my life going to Chopt and my experience was awful! My food was not fresh at all. This is not okay for $17-18 wrap. I have tried contacting their support@choptsalad.com and no one has even had the respect to give me a response. HORRIBLE. Please stay away. Hopefully someone reaches out to me from this company. read more

The food was great and the service good. My only gripe is the way the salad is presented - all the greens on top, and good stuff underneath, but a bit overflowing and no way for a good portion of it to end up on the table. read more

I like this new location they opened in midtown, it's really convenient and their salads are great! service is pretty quick too. Try their special dressing, you can ask for it on the side. I got their mexican goddess dressing on the side and it was surprisingly good, better than my original boring creamy caesar dressing mixed in. They stack the salad really high and it does come out to be pretty expensive for a huge bowl of salad. I got lucky and came here when they had a promotion and they were giving out their salads for free so I got to put a whole lot of topping on it. I added shrimp, breaded chicken and steak with beets, avacado, corn, homemade croutons and cheese. The salad came out to be really good, I think steak was the best, it was a little smoked, everything else mixed in tasted really fresh and it goes really well with the mexican goddess dressing I had on the side. read more

I don't normally review quick lunch spots but I would be REMISS if I did not tell yelp to GO HERE! I love CHOPT! I moved to NYC about a year ago, and before then, I had never had a salad I really enjoyed, craved, actually wanted to go out of my way and get. That all changed with Chopt. Per my sister's recommendation, I ordered a Kale Caesar w/ their Spicy Chipotle Chicken. I got Mexican Caesar dressing. And folks, I was in LOVE. Firstly, the way they chop and mix is phenomenal and now if my salad isn't chopped up and mixed with dressing then I don't even enjoy it anymore, chopt spoiled me! Their Chicken tastes so fresh and I love the added spice to it - the kale and romaine are super fresh, croutons and great , but the real winner is Mexican Caesar dressing. It's perfect spicy, delicious, and creamy. PRO TIP - Get a little lime or lemon squeeze with your salad as well. Highly recommend. My favorite lunch spot in NYC. and this location has awesome friendly employees! read more

Best Chopt in midtown. Lots of seating, and always have gotten order right. Service is very good.

I've been to Chopt twice, and each time has been satisfactory, but nothing amazing. The service is definitely quick and efficient, and it's a solid place for lunch (especially if you work nearby). The queue is always pretty long which is a bummer, but it passes quicker than it seems like it will. I always order off their menu because the options are so overwhelming. The crispy chicken ranch salad is my go-to, but they have other interesting sounding options. I don't usually come here of my own accord, but I also never oppose it when others suggest it. Overall, decent experiences here, but nothing outstanding. read more

Always the best service. This staff is always so warm and welcoming. They make my salad perfect every time. It's my favorite location!

Great salad bar with lots of options. They make the salad for you but you can build your own or choose a signature salad. I got the Santa Fe salad with the sweet and smokey chipotle vinaigrette. It's a medium heat. Under $10 and pretty filling. I like that they also chop it all up. read more

Make your own salad, is really nice and it allows you to decide how much you want to eat. They have many options and you will always find a line there. However, the line does indeed move quickly and within 10 minutes your out. The price is a bit higher then the other places nearby, but with that kind of turnover, you are sure to have fresh vegetables and toppings. read more

Chopt Creative Salad Co. - Long freakin line - Salad Near Me - New York, New York

I went to this location today for lunch and ordered through the app Ritual. It told me when to arrive and was ready when I got there. This location is pretty big, but it gets VERY crowded with long lines around lunch time since it is in a very busy work area. I would recommend to order ahead of time before you go to avoid the wait. I enjoyed my salad except I felt like they did not actually chop it up enough this time, which I really do enjoy. This location has a pretty decent amount of seating, so eating there is definitely an option, but it is kinda loud since it is busy. read more

Great service and staff very friendly whenever I pick up my order! Always brings joy to day!!

I order from here 3 days a week using the chopt app, and I have to say that the prep time is prompt, the salad is consistently excellent, and the ladies at the cash register (Sally and Jackie) always greet me with a smile. It really makes the workday easier. Thank you! read more

This was a good change from Pret a manger, my usual lunch spot. The menu seemed a little intimidating but the server was more than happy to help. I got the Mexican veggie salad with lots of greens, avocado, black beans and Mexican avocado dressing. It was a really nice salad, packed with flavor and I loved the little crunchy bits of broken tortilla chips mixed in. I thought i ll only eat half but ended up eating the whole thing! read more

I now understand why all my NY friends won't step a foot into Chopt and were shocked I gave the Chopt in Virginia 5 stars. Lunchtime = mayhem I came in to grab a quick salad for lunch and it was just insanity. Also, I asked for the bowl that's used for hot salads since that's what is used in other Chopt locations and was told I would be charged extra. Wtf? After the toppings came the chopping. I said that I don't want much chopped and kept telling the guy to stop and he chopped it to little pieces. I said to stop several times. Stay away. read more

Ordered delivery for a meeting at the office. Ordering on the app was perfect, easy to customize on everyone's salad, and everything came as ordered. Could have used more shrimp in the cape cod salad, but was great anyway. Would definitely order again. read more

I like going to chopt for my salad fix because i like the options and ingredients they have. My salad today was pretty good, I mostly just have a problem with the people working here. I came around 1pm which is always a crowded time for them, no big deal I don't mind waiting in line. However they always have an employee to help move the line along and tell people where to go. Today I ordered my salad and then while I was waiting in line for it to be chopped, the lady kept ushering people through the people waiting to get their salad chopped which was really annoying to have people constantly bumping into you! Then the person who "chopped" (he actually threw it into the bowl without chopping it at all) my salad asked for which dressing I wanted but didn't bother waiting for me to say how much or how little I wanted. He just put it in the bowl and handed it to me. To top it all off while paying the lady asked if I wanted bread I said yes and she never put it in. I didn't realize till I got back to my office and I wasn't going back to deal with the disaster that is currently there. I like chopt salads but I can always go somewhere else if this is the level of service they are providing. read more

So I upgraded the review to 4 stars. The District Manager read my review and sent me an email through Yelp noting that she voiced my concern to the hospitality managers to improve the crowd control at this location. I must say as first timer it was a bit intimidating. I went during the lunch dash and honey I waa clueless. It felt like all the regulars knew what they wanted an moved right along. LoL!!!! I was there contemplating and derermining what I wanted. But I finally ordered a salad, the preparer sent it to someone else to chop and squirt dressing in it. And I was looking like a deet in headlights. LoL!!! The salad was huge and delicious! I can't wait to go back and order like a pro. read more

Placed order via app, pickup was supposed to be in 15 mins. Headed to store, still had wait another 15 mins for the order to come out. Salad was not properly chopped, and special instructions were not followed. Worst of all...there was a bug in the salad... Need better quality control!! read more

This Chopt location is great because there is plenty of seating. It's my go to for meetings friends for lunch near Park Avenue. Love this place! They even let me use my reusable bowl from another chain. The Palm Beach Chicken Salad with white balsamic is my go to!

A MUST HAVE!! My daily lunch spot, which is quite popular, yet the crew/staff at this location always moves their lines expeditiously, greets you with a smile and will accommodate substitutions when needed. The manager Angie and cashier, Sally are so pleasant and always wishes you a great day upon departure. I am a Chicken Tinga, minus the chicken (substitute with jalapeños) and one scoop of warm grains versus the standard three. The staff chuckles and already knows my order before I say it. With salads being such a popular lunch item, this immediate area is lacking in good salad options. I have found multiple things in my Chop't salad over the past year. Sharp pieces of plastic and unidentifiable parts of the lettuce. This last one was the last straw - the wing of a lady bug. I wish I saw it before I felt it in my mouth. GROSS! This is my second bug in a salad incident in as many weeks. Not having much luck lately! The manager Dina was very kind, offering me a refund and a free salad (which I declined) and while I understand they move serious volumes of lettuce they need to do better. read more

Will not go to Chopt again. read more

Chop't offers chopped salads. They are not the cheapest and perhaps not the most gourmet, but when it comes to a solid lunch in midtown east, this is really your best option. Here are some tips: - Get a loyalty card. For every 10 salads you buy, you get 1 free. - Even when the line snakes to the door, it moves relatively fast. Don't give up just because there is a wait. The employees here are efficient. - If you want to avoid the line, coming at noon or after 2pm is your best bet. The worst hour is between 12:30-1:30pm. - If you're ok with getting side eye from the impatient suits in line behind you, the employees are happy to offer samples of the dressings. When you are wary of covering your lunch in something you have never had before, this's is really helpful. read more
